We combine K-nearest neighbors(KNN)with a genetic algorithm(GA)for photometric redshift estimation of quasars,short for GeneticKNN,which is a weighted KNN approach supported by a *** approach has two improvements compared to KNN:one is the feature weighted by GA;the other is that the predicted redshift is not the redshift average of K neighbors but the weighted average of median and mean of redshifts for K neighbors,i.e.p×zmedian+(1-p)×*** on the SDSS and SDSS-WISE quasar samples,we explore the performance of GeneticKNN for photometric redshift estimation,comparing with the other six traditional machine learning methods,*** least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO),support vector regression(SVR),multi-layer perceptrons(MLP),XGboost,KNN and random *** and random forest show their *** the easy implementation of KNN,we make improvement on KNN as GeneticKNN and apply GeneticKNN on photometric redshift estimation of *** the performance of GeneticKNN is better than that of LASSO,SVR,MLP,XGboost,KNN and random forest for all *** the accuracy is better with the additional WISE magnitudes for the same method.

Apparent diffusion coefficient evaluation for secondary changes in the cerebellum of rats after middle cerebral artery occlusion

Supratentorial cerebral infarction can cause functional inhibition of remote regions such as the cerebellum, which may be relevant to diaschisis. This phenomenon is often analyzed using positron emission tomography and single photon emission CT. However, these methods are expensive and radioactive. Thus, the present study quantified the changes of infarction core and remote regions after unilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion using apparent diffusion coefficient values. Diffu- sion-weighted imaging showed that the area of infarction core gradually increased to involve the cerebral cortex with increasing infarction time. Diffusion weighted imaging signals were initially in- creased and then stabilized by 24 hours. With increasing infarction time, the apparent diffusion co- efficient value in the infarction core and remote bilateral cerebellum both gradually decreased, and then slightly increased 3-24 hours after infarction. Apparent diffusion coefficient values at remote regions （cerebellum） varied along with the change of supratentorial infarction core, suggesting that the phenomenon of diaschisis existed at the remote regions. Thus, apparent diffusion coefficient values and diffusion weighted imaging can be used to detect early diaschisis.

The application of simultaneous integrated boost-intensity modulated radiotherapy(SIB-IMRT)in pediatric and adolescent nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is *** study aimed to evaluate long-term outcome and late toxicities in pediatric and adolescent NPC after SIB-IMRT combined with ***-four patients(aged 8–20 years)with histologically proven,non-disseminated NPC treated with SIB-IMRT were enrolled in this retrospective *** disease stage distribution was as follows:stage I,1(2.9%);stage III,14(41.2%);and stage IV,19(55.9%).All patients underwent SIBIMRT and 30 patients also underwent cisplatin-based *** prescribed dose of IMRT was64–68 Gy in 29–31 fractions to the nasopharyngeal gross target *** the median follow-up of 52months(range,9–111 months),1 patient(2.9%)experienced local recurrence and 4(11.8%)developed distant metastasis(to the lung in 3 cases and to multiple organs in 1 case).Four patients(11.8%)died due to recurrence or *** 5-year locoregional relapse–free survival,distant metastasis–free survival,disease-free survival,and overall survival rates were 97.1%,88.2%,85.3%,and 88.2%,*** most common acute toxicities were grades 3–4 hematologic toxicities and *** the 24 patients who survived for more than 2 years,16(66.7%)and 15(62.5%)developed grades 1–2 xerostomia and ototoxicity,*** patients(8.3%)developed grade 3 ototoxicity;no grade 4 toxicities were ***-IMRT combined with chemotherapy achieves excellent long-term locoregional control in pediatric and adolescent NPC,with mild incidence of late *** metastasis is the predominant mode of failure.

Water electrolysis has been regarded as a promising technology to produce clean hydrogen fuel with high purity. However, large-scale water electrolysis has been greatly hindered due to the lack of non-noble metal catalysts with high catalytic performance. Benefitting from unique hollow structures with large surface area and adjustable chemical compositions, hollow design plays an important role in improving the electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER). Herein, we report an effective multi-step strategy to prepare hierarchical Co-decorated Mo_(2)C hollow spheres(CMCHSs) as electrocatalyst for HER. To be specific, the preparation process involves a metal-chelated polymerization and a subsequent surface modulation process. Owing to the unique hollow structure and incorporation of Co species,the as-prepared CMCHSs demonstrate largely enhanced HER performance with a low overpotential of 139 mV at the current density of 10 m A·cm^(-2) and good cycling durability in acid. The present research work highlights a new feasible strategy for the design of HER electrocatalyst via hollow designs and surface engineering.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of a decoction of Fuzhengzengxiao formula on lung adenocarcinoma regarding the inflammatory protein S100A9 known to enhance cancer cell ***: A nude mouse model of human lung adenocarcinoma was established. The mice were randomly divided into four groups using the random number table method: Group Ⅰ, control;Group Ⅱ, treatment with a decoction of the Fuzhengzengxiao formula alone; Group Ⅲ, treatment with radiotherapy alone; and Group Ⅳ, treatment with radiotherapy plus a decoction of Fuzhengzengxiao formula. When the tumor body was 1 cm^3 in diameter, the tumor bearing mice in GroupsⅢ and Ⅳ were irradiated at a single dose of 10 Gy and the tumor inhibition rate was *** expression of S100A9 was determined using Western blotting and q-PCR(Real-time Quantitative PCR Detecting System). The sensitivity of cells containing RNAi S100A9 to radiotherapy was evaluated using the Click multiple target model,and the cell cycle was analyzed using flow ***: Relative to the control group,the expression of S100A9 in the tumors in each treatment group was decreased,especially in Group Ⅳ. The sensitizing enhancement ratio(SER) Dq was >1 after RNAi S100A9; it decreased the surviving fraction after a 2 Gy dose exposure,and also the D_0 and Dq of the tumor cells; in addition, the radiosensitivity of G_2/M cells was significantly ***: The decoction of the Fuzhengzengxiao formula downregulated the expression of S100A9 in lung adenocarcinoma cells.

Myanmar is one of the most biodiverse countries in the Asia-Pacific region due to a wide range of climatic and environmental *** diversity in Myanmar is largely unknown,resulting in a lack of comprehensive conservation *** developed a database of higher plants in Myanmar derived from herbarium specimens and literature sources,and analyzed patterns of diversity inventories and collection inconsistencies,aiming to provide a baseline floristic data of Myanmar and act as a guide for future research *** collected 1,329,354 records of 16,218 *** show that the collection densities at the township level was variable,with 5% of townships having no floristic *** ecoregion had an average collection density of greater than 1 specimen/km2and the lowest collection density was found in the Kayah-Karen Montane Rainforests,which covered 8% of Myanmar’s total *** highest sampling densities were found in Mandalay Region,Chin State,and Yangon *** floristic collections over the past three centuries,knowledge of the distribution of the vast majority of plant taxa remained limited,particularly for gymnosperms,pteridophytes,and *** botanical surveys and further analyses are needed to better describe Myanmar’s floristic *** important strategy to promote knowledge of the biodiversity patterns in Myanmar is to improve the collection and digitalization of specimens and to strengthen cooperation among countries.
