In order to study the effects of the confining pressure on the erosion characteristics of the self-resonating cavitating jet under wellbore and deep-water conditions,experiments are conducted on aluminum specimens impinged by the organ pipe cavitation nozzle and the conical nozzle with the confining pressure in the range 0 MPa–10.0 ***,through the numerical simulation of the collapsing process of the cavitation bubble and the noise test,the cavitation erosion mechanism is *** experimental results show that the optimal standoff distance and the confining pressure can be obtained for the maximum erosion quantities,and the optimal standoff distance is 5 to 7 times greater than the equivalent nozzle outlet diameter and the confining pressure is about 2.0 *** the same conditions,the erosion caused by the cavitation nozzle is up to 2 times larger than that caused by the conical *** to the numerical simulation and the noise test,the cavitation erosion on the aluminum specimens is mostly caused by mechanical forces due to the high-frequency pressure pulse generated during the collapse of cavitation bubbles,while just a small part is caused by micro-jets.

Evaluating the physical mechanisms that link hydraulic fracturing(HF) operations to induced earthquakes and the anticipated form of the resulting events is significant in informing subsurface fluid injection operations. Current understanding supports the overriding role of the effective stress magnitude in triggering earthquakes, while the impact of change rate of effective stress has not been systematically addressed. In this work, a modified critical stiffness was brought up to investigate the likelihood, impact,and mitigation of induced seismicity during and after hydraulic fracturing by developing a poroelastic model based on rate-and-state fraction law and linear stability analysis. In the new criterion, the change rate of effective stress was considered a key variable to explore the evolution of this criterion and hence the likelihood of instability slip of fault. A coupled fluid flow-deformation model was used to represent the entire hydraulic fracturing process in COMSOL Multiphysics. The possibility of triggering an earthquake throughout the entire hydraulic fracturing process, from fracturing to cessation, was investigated considering different fault locations, orientations, and positions along the fault. The competition between the effects of the magnitude and change rate of effective stress was notable at each fracturing stage. The effective stress magnitude is a significant controlling factor during fracturing events, with the change rate dominating when fracturing is suddenly started or stopped. Instability dominates when the magnitude of the effective stress increases(constant injection at each fracturing stage) and the change rate of effective stress decreases(the injection process is suddenly stopped). Fracturing with a high injection rate, a fault adjacent to the hydraulic fracturing location and the position of the junction between the reservoir and fault are important to reduce the Coulomb failure stress(CFS) and enhance the critical stiffness as

The impact of TiO2 nanoparticles on DNA synthesis in vitro in the dark and the molecular mechanism of such impact were studied. The impact of TiO2 nanoparticles on DNA synthesis was investigated by adding TiO2 nanoparticles in different sizes and at various concentrations into the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system. TiO2 nanoparticles were premixed with the DNA polymerase, the primer or the template, respectively and then the supernatant and the precipitation of each mixture were added into the PCR system separately to observe the impact on DNA synthesis. Sequentially the interaction be- tween TiO2 nanoparticles and the DNA polymerase, the primer or the template was further analyzed by using UV-visible spectroscopy and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). The results suggest that TiO2 nanoparticles inhibit DNA synthesis in the PCR system in the dark more severely than mi- croscale TiO2 particles at the equivalent concentration and the inhibition effect of TiO2 nanoparticles is concentration dependent. The molecular mechanism of such inhibition is that in the dark, TiO2 nanoparticles interact with the DNA polymerase through physical adsorption while TiO2 nanoparticles do with the primer or the template in a chemical adsorption manner. The disfunction levels of the bio-molecules under the impact of TiO2 nanoparticles are in the following order: the primer > the tem- plate > the DNA polymerase.

The destruction of the ozone layer in the atmosphere caused by industriallysynthesized CFCs has aroused greatest concerns from the international society, but the CFCs formedfrom burning of coal containing fluorine have not been recognized by the world yet. In the presentstudy, we condensed the gas through cold traps and used the GC-MS to measure the gas composition,and found that the content of CFC-12 in the smog from coal combustion was significantly higher thanthe background value of the local atmosphere. This proves that CFC- 12 is formed in the process ofcoal combustion. This paper discusses a new source of non-synthesized CFCs.

BACKGROUND: High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive method of solid tissue ablation therapy. However, only a few studies have reported the effect of HIFU for unresectable pancreatic cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical benefits, survival time and complications associated with the use of HIFU ablation in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer. METHODS: Twenty-five patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer were enrolled in our study. All patients received HIFU therapy for tumors at least once. The therapeutic effects of HIFU was evaluated in terms of Karnofsky performance status (KPS) scores, pain relief, serum CA19-9, and imaging by B-US and CT before and after the therapy. We also recorded median overall survival time and complications caused by the treatment. RESULTS: In the 25 patients, KPS scores were above 60, and increased KPS was observed in 23 patients after treatment. Pain relief occurred in 23 patients. Serum CA19-9 levels were significantly reduced one month after HIFU treatment and became negative in 5 patients. B-US revealed enhanced tumor echogenicity in 13 patients and decreased tumor blood supply in 9. Tumor necrosis was confirmed by CT in 8 patients one month after HIFU treatment. The median overall survival time was 10 months, and the 1-year survival rate was 42%. No severe complications were observed after HIFU treatment. CONCLUSION: HIFU can effectively relieve pain, increase KPS, decrease tumor growth and prolong the survival time of patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer.

Because it is safe and well tolerated, imatinib is a standard first-line therapy for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Although there have been sporadic reports of imatinib-induced cardiotoxicity, including left ventricle (LV) dysfunction and heart failure, the evidence for it is contradictory. Here, we reported a case of an 88-year-old male patient with CML developed decompensated heart failure following imatinib therapy. Four days after the initiation of imatinib, the patient developed orthopnea, edema and a pleural effusion accompanied by abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting. The chest X-ray film showed an enlarged cardiac profile. The echocardiogram demonstrated a decreased LV ejection fraction and enlarged left-side cardiac chambers. B-type natriuretic peptide concentrations were markedly increased. The patient recovered soon after the withdrawal of imatinib and introduction of comprehensive therapy for heart failure. Imatinib-induced cardiotoxicity in elderly patients is a potentially serious complication thatmerits further evaluation.

针对多端口变换器一直追求高效率和高功率密度的问题,提出一种磁集成双Buck/Boost-LLC三端口DC-DC变换器。研究全桥LLC谐振变换器的基础上,在一次侧谐振腔两端引入两磁性电感元件,通过逆变桥开关管的复用集成了一个交错并联双向Buck/Boost变换器,减少了功率器件数量;同时,采用磁集成技术将两个交错并联Buck/Boost电感反向耦合集成,实现两相电路均流,并与LLC的谐振电感解耦集成,提高了功率密度。变换器在全负载范围内可实现软开关特性。通过脉冲宽度调制(PWM)和脉冲频率调制(PFM)进行控制,分析该变换器端口间不同功率流动下的工作原理、工作模态、直流增益特性,并对集成磁件进行设计,测得集成磁件体积较全分立磁件减小了38.66%。最后搭建一台300 W的实验样机系统,验证理论的正确性。
