Spinal cord injury is a serious disease of the central nervous system involving irreversible nerve injury and various organ system *** present,no effective clinical treatment *** one of the artificial hibernation techniques,mild hypothermia has preliminarily confirmed its clinical effect on spinal cord ***,its technical defects and barriers,along with serious clinical side effects,restrict its clinical application for spinal cord *** hibernation is a futureoriented disruptive technology for human life *** involves endogenous hibernation inducers and hibernation-related central neuromodulation that activate particular neurons,reduce the central constant temperature setting point,disrupt the normal constant body temperature,make the body adapt"to the external cold environment,and reduce the physiological resistance to cold ***,studying the artificial hibernation mechanism may help develop new treatment strategies more suitable for clinical use than the cooling method of mild hypothermia *** review introduces artificial hibernation technologies,including mild hypothermia technology,hibernation inducers,and hibernation-related central neuromodulation *** summarizes the relevant research on hypothermia and hibernation for organ and nerve *** studies show that artificial hibernation technologies have therapeutic significance on nerve injury after spinal co rd injury through inflammatory inhibition,immunosuppression,oxidative defense,and possible central *** also promotes the repair and protection of res pirato ry and digestive,cardiovascular,locomoto r,urinary,and endocrine *** review provides new insights for the clinical treatment of nerve and multiple organ protection after spinal cord injury thanks to artificial *** present,artificial hibernation technology is not mature,and research fa ces various *** rtheless,the effort is wo rthwhi

Neighboring optimal guidance using higher-order dynamics approximation with application to orbital injection problem

Neighboring optimal guidance,a method to obtain a suboptimal guidance law by approximately solving the first-order necessary conditions based on a nominal trajectory,is widely used in the aerospace field due to its high computational efficiency and low resource *** more advanced scenarios,the existing methods still have a problem that the guidance accuracy and optimality will seriously degrade when the actual state largely deviates from the nominal *** is mainly caused by the approximate description of the first-order conditions in terms of total flight time and nonlinear *** address this problem,a higher-order neighboring optimal guidance method is ***,a novel total flight time updating strategy,together with a normalized time scale,is presented that transforms the optimal problem with free total flight time into a more tractable optimal problem with fixed total flight ***,using the vector partial derivative method,a higher-order approximation is adopted,instead of the first-order approximation,to accurately describe the nonlinear dynamical and terminal constraints,thus obtaining a polynomially constrained quadratic optimal ***,to numerically solve the polynomially constrained quadratic optimal problem,a Newton-type iterative algorithm based on the orthogonal decomposition is *** the iterative solution within each guidance period,the corrections to control quantities and total flight time are *** proposed method is applied to a launch vehicle orbital injection problem,and simulation results show that it achieves high accuracy of orbital injection and optimality of performance index.

Nb-and Ta-doped(Hf,Zr,Ti)C multicomponent carbides with enhanced oxidation resistance at 2500℃

Enhancing oxidation resistance of multicomponent carbides above 2000℃is critical for their thermal protection *** this purpose,novel Nb-and Ta-doped(Hf,Zr,Ti)C multicomponent carbides were designed to improve their oxidation resistance at 2500℃.The results demonstrated that Nb and Ta doping reduced the oxidation rate constant by 16.67%and 25.17%,respectively,thereby significantly improving the oxidation resistance of(Hf,Zr,Ti)*** enhancement was attributed to the changes in oxycarbide composition and distribution within the oxide layer by adding Nb and *** to the different oxidation tendencies of the constituent elements,a distinctive structure was formed in which(Hf,Zr)O_(2)served as a skeleton,and various oxycarbides were dispersed throughout the oxide *** doped Nb and Ta were retained within oxycarbides,retarding the diffusion of oxygen into the *** importantly,the addition of Nb and Ta reduced the size of oxycarbides,decreasing both size and quantity of the pores in the oxide layer and facilitating the formation of a more effective oxygen barrier.

Sources appointment and health risks of PM_(2.5)-bound trace elements in a coastal city of southeastern China

To gain a comprehensive understanding of sources and health risks of trace elements in an area of China with high population densities and low PM_(2.5)concentrations,15 trace elements(Al,K,Ca,Ti,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Ni,Cu,Zn,As,Sn,Ba,Pb)in PM_(2.5)were monitored from December 2020 to November 2021 in a representative city,*** concentrations of trace elements in Xiamen displayed an obvious seasonal variation and were dominated by K,Fe,Al,Ca and *** on Positive Matrix Factorization analysis,source appointment revealed that the major sources of trace elements in Xiamen were traffic,dust,biomass and firework combustion,industrial manufacture and shipping *** to health risk assessment combined with the source appointment results,it indicated that the average noncarcinogenic risk was below the threshold and cancer risk of four hazardous metals(Cr,Ni,As,Pb)exceeded the threshold(10^(-6)).Traffic-related source had almost half amount of contribution to the health risk induced by PM_(2.5)-bound trace *** the dust transport period or Spring Festival period,the health risks exceeded an acceptable threshold even an order of magnitude higher,suggesting that the serious health risks still existed in low PM_(2.5)environment at certain *** risk assessment reminded that the health risk reduction in PM_(2.5)at southeastern China should prioritize traffic-related hazardous trace elements and highlighted the importance of controlling vehicles emissions in the future.

Estimation of tunnel axial orientation in the interlayered rock mass using a comprehensive algorithm

The axial selection of tunnels constructed in the interlayered soft-hard rock mass affects the stability and safety during *** optimization is primarily based on experience or comparison and selection of alternative values under specific geological *** this work,an intelligent optimization framework has been proposed by combining numerical analysis,machine learning(ML)and optimization *** automatic and intelligent numerical analysis process was proposed and coded to reduce redundant manual *** conventional optimization algorithm was developed from two aspects and applied to the hyperparameters estimation of the support vector machine(SVM)model and the axial orientation optimization of the ***,the comprehensive framework was applied to a numerical case study,and the results were compared with those of other *** results of this study indicate that the determination coefficients between the predicted and the numerical stability evaluation indices(STIs)on the training and testing datasets are 0.998 and 0.997,*** a given geological condition,the STI that changes with the axial orientation shows the trend of first decreasing and then increasing,and the optimal tunnel axial orientation is estimated to be 87.This method provides an alternative and quick approach to the overall design of the tunnels.

liquid crystals are a vital component of modern photonics,and recent studies have demonstrated the exceptional sensing properties of stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid ***,existing cholesteric liquid crystal-based sensors often rely on the naked eye perceptibility of structural color or the measurement of wavelength changes by spectrometric tools,which limits their practical ***,developing a platform that produces recognizable sensing signals is *** this study,we present a visual sensing platform based on geometric phase encoding of stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid crystal polymers that generates real-time visual patterns,rather than frequency *** demonstrate this platform’s effectiveness,we used a humidity-responsive cholesteric liquid crystal polymer film encoded with a q-plate pattern,which revealed that humidity causes a shape change in the vortex beam reflected from the encoded cholesteric liquid crystal ***,we developed a prototype platform towards remote humidity monitoring benefiting from the high directionality and long-range transmission properties of laser beams carrying orbital angular *** approach provides a novel sensing platform for cholesteric liquid crystals-based sensors that offers promising practical *** ability to generate recognizable sensing signals through visual patterns offers a new level of practicality in the sensing field with stimuli-responsive cholesteric liquid *** platform might have significant implications for a broad readership and will be of interest to researchers working in the field of photonics and sensing technology.

UNCONDITIONAL ERROR ANALYSIS OF VEMS FOR A GENERAliZED NONliNEAR SCHRODINGER EQUATION

In this work,we focus on the conforming and nonconforming leap-frog virtual element methods for the generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation,and establish their unconditional stability and optimal error *** constructing a time-discrete system,the error between the solutions of the continuous model and the numerical scheme is separated into the temporal error and the spatial error,which makes the spatial error τ-*** inverse inequalities in the existing conforming and new constructed nonconforming virtual element spaces are utilized to derive the L^(∞)-norm uniform boundedness of numerical solutions without any restrictions on time-space step ratio,and then unconditionally optimal error estimates of the numerical schemes are obtained *** needs to be emphasized is that if we use the pre-existing nonconforming virtual elements,there is no way to derive the L^(∞)-norm uniform boundedness of the functions in the nonconforming virtual element spaces so as to be hard to get the corresponding inverse ***,several numerical examples are reported to confirm our theoretical results.

Design and simulation investigations on charge transport layers‑free in lead‑free three absorber layer all‑perovskite solar cells

The multiple absorber layer perovskite solar cells(PSCs)with charge transport layers-free(CTLs-free)have drawn widespread research interest due to their simplified architecture and promising photoelectric *** the circumstances,the novel design of CTLs-free inversion PSCs with stable and nontoxic three absorber layers(triple Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9),single MASnI_(3),double Cs_(2)TiBr_(6))as optical-harvester has been numerically simulated by utilizing wxAMPS simulation software and achieved high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 14.8834%.This is owing to the innovative architecture of PSCs favors efficient transport and extraction of more holes and the slender band gap MASnI_(3)extends the absorption spectrum to the near-infrared periphery compared with the two absorber layers architecture of ***,the performance of the device with p-type-Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)/p-type-MASnI_(3)/n-type-Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)architecture is superior to the one with the p-type-Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)/ntype-MASnI_(3)/n-type-Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)architecture due to less carrier recombination and higher carrier life time inside the absorber *** simulation results reveal that Cs_(2)TiF_(6)double perovskite material stands out as the best ***,an excellent PCE of 21.4530%can be obtained with the thicker MASnI_(3)absorber layer thickness(0.4μm).Lastly,the highestperformance photovoltaic devices(28.6193%)can be created with the optimized perovskite doping density of around E15 cm^(3)(Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)),E18 cm^(3)(MASnI_(3)),and 1.5E19 cm^(3)(Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)).This work manifests that the proposed CTLs-free PSCs with multi-absorber layers shall be a relevant reference for forward applications in electro-optical and optoelectronic devices.
