We collect the isoseismal data of 488 earthquakes in western China and 182 earthquakes in eastern China after *** least square method is used to establish two models of the seismic intensity attenuation relationship partitions in China,based on the major and minor axis ellipse models,and the area and the major axis radius,*** two models are applied to the calculation of the intensity circle of the earthquake events with a magnitude M_(S)≥5.0 from 2008 to 2019,and the actual intensity is compared with the model intensity value as an indicator to verify the consistency between the actual intensity and the value from the empirical statistical *** real earthquake results are selected to calculate the major and minor axis and area of the ellipse using the two intensity attenuation relationship *** comparison,we summarize the deviation characteristics of the intensity value,and put forward corresponding improvement suggestions.

Rainfall variability dominates livelihoods in all countries of Saharan *** better understand the processes involved in Sahara precipitation changes,we used the Global Precipitation Climatology Center(GPCC)dataset to examine dry and wet seasonal trends in the Sahara region from 1979 to *** also used the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)to evaluate the general atmospheric circulation associated with seasonal change of Sahara *** Mann-Kendall test and Theil sens'slope estimator methods were adopted to test and estimate the significance and weight of precipitation trend,*** results revealed that Sahara precipitation has increased *** seasonal evaluation shows a positive trend of 0.42 mm/decade and 1.43 mm/decade in JAS(June,August,and September)seasons for the northern and southern Saharan Desert,***,the JFMA(January,February,March,and April)period shows a negative trend but not statistically *** examination of the general circulation and moisture transport changes suggested an increase of rainfall in southern *** wet period is also driven by northward penetration of moisture originating from the Sahel region,African Easterly Jet(AEJ),and weakening in the upper tropospheric zonal *** rainfall has also been likely associated with positive anomalies of sea surface temperature(SST)in the North Tropical Atlantic(NTA)and the Mediterranean Sea.

Bufalin is one of the main pharmacological and toxicological components of Venenum Bufonis and many traditional Chinese medicine *** cardiotoxicity clearly limits its application to patients living in ***,an investigation of its toxicological mechanism is helpful for new drug development and treatment of the related clinical adverse *** investigate the cardiotoxicity of bufalin using human induced pluripotent stem cells-derived cardiomyocytes(hiPSC-CMs)(0.003–0.1μmol·L–1),human induced pluripotent stem cells-derived cardiomyocytes(hiPSC-CMs)(0.03–0.3μmol·L–1)and eight human cardiac ion channel currents(0.01–100μmol·L–1)combined with an impedance-based bioanalytical and patch clamp *** effect of bufalin on the contractility in hiPSC-CMs,which has been shown to strengthen myocardial contractility,accelerate conduction,and increase beating rate at the earlier stage of administration,whereas weakened myocardial contractility,abolished conduction,and ceased beating rate at the later stage of *** decreased the action potential duration(Action potential duration at 30%,50%and 90%repolarization),cardiac action potential amplitude,and maximal depolarization rate and depolarized the resting membrane potential of *** beating rates of hiPSC-CMs were markedly increased at 0.03μmol·L–1,while were weakened at 0.3μmol·L–1 after *** blocks INav1.5 in a concentration-dependent manner with half maximal inhibitory concentration of 74.5μmol·L–*** respectively increased the late sodium current and Na+-Ca2+exchange current with a concentration for 50%of maximal effect of 2.48 and 66.06μmol·L–1 in ***,bufalin showed no significant effects on other cardiac ion channel *** enhancement of the late sodium current is one of the main mechanism for cardiotoxicity of bufalin.

Accumulating evidence suggests that obesity is associated with chronic pain. However, whether obesity is associated with acute inflammatory pain is unknown. Using a well-established obese mouse model induced by a highfat diet, we found that:(1) the acute thermal pain sensory threshold did not change in obese mice;(2) the model obese mice had fewer nociceptive responses in formalininduced inflammatory pain tests; restoring the obese mice to a chow diet for three weeks partly recovered their pain sensation;(3) leptin injection induced significant phosphorylation of STAT3 in control mice but not in obese mice,indicating the dysmodulation of topical leptin–leptin receptor signaling in these mice; and(4) leptin–leptin receptor signaling-deficient mice(ob/ob and db/db) or leptin–leptin receptor pathway blockade with a leptin receptor antagonist and the JAK2 inhibitor AG 490 in wildtype mice reduced their nociceptive responses in formalin tests. These results indicate that leptin plays a role in nociception induced by acute inflammation and that interference in the leptin–leptin receptor pathway could be a peripheral target against acute inflammatory pain.

Positron emission tomography （PET） imaging of functional metabolism has been widely used to investigate functional recovery and to evaluate therapeutic efficacy after stroke. The voxel intensity of a PET image is the most important indicator of cellular activity, but is affected by other factors such as the basal metabolic ratio of each subject. In order to locate dysfunctional regions accurately, intensity normalization by a scale factor is a prerequisite in the data analysis, for which the global mean value is most widely used. However, this is unsuitable for stroke studies. Alternatively, a specified scale factor calculated from a reference region is also used, comprising neither hyper- nor hypo-metabolic voxels. But there is no such recognized reference region for stroke studies. Therefore, we proposed a totally data-driven automatic method for unbiased scale factor generation. This factor was generated iteratively until the residual deviation of two adjacent scale factors was reduced by 〈 5%. Moreover, both simulated and real stroke data were used for evaluation, and these suggested that our proposed unbiased scale factor has better sensi- tivity and accuracy for stroke studies.

The first reported (B1-xMx)PO4 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) compounds were synthesized by high temperature solid state methods and the structures refined from X-ray powder data. The transition metal substitutions on the boron site stabilized the structure to the orthorhombic low-cristobalite type with average volumes per tetrahedral unit 30% larger than that in BPO4 and novel catalytic properties are expected. The magnetic data indicate the 3+ valences thr the metals.
