Cereal is an essential source of calories and protein for the global *** predicting cereal quality before harvest is highly desirable in order to optimise management for farmers,grading harvest and categorised storage for enterprises,future trading prices,and policy *** use of remote sensing data with extensive spatial coverage demonstrates some potential in predicting crop quality *** studies have also proposed models and methods for predicting such traits based on multiplatform remote sensing *** this paper,the key quality traits that are of interest to producers and consumers are *** literature related to grain quality prediction was analyzed in detail,and a review was conducted on remote sensing platforms,commonly used methods,potential gaps,and future trends in crop quality *** review recommends new research directions that go beyond the traditional methods and discusses grain quality retrieval and the associated challenges from the perspective of remote sensing data.

Straw mulching is a widespread practice for reducing the soil carbon loss caused by ***,the effects of straw mulching on dissolved organic matter(DOM)runoff loss from black soil are not well *** straw mulching affects the composition and loss of runoff DOM by changing soil aggregates remains largely ***,a straw mulching treatment was compared to a no mulching treatment(as a control)on sloping farmland with black soil erosion in Northeast *** divided the soil into large macroaggregates(>2 mm),small macroaggregates(0.25-2 mm),and microaggregates(like acid and protein-like *** straw mulching treatment,the protein-like components in small macroaggregates accumulated and the protein-like components in runoff declined with rain *** spectroscopy technology may help in understanding the hydrological paths of rain events by capturing the dynamic changes of runoff and soil DOM characteristics.A variation partitioning analysis(VPA)indicated that the DOM concentration and composition of microaggregates explained 68.2%of the change in runoff DOM from no mulching plots,while the change in runoff DOM from straw mulching plots was dominated by small macroaggregates at a rate of 55.1%.Taken together,our results demonstrated that straw mulching reduces the fragmentation of small macroaggregates and the loss of microaggregates,thus effecting DOM compositions in soil and reducing the DOM loss in *** results provi

Conceptualizing and Measuring Economic Resilience of Resource-based Cities： Case Study of Northeast China

This paper develops a conceptual model and an indicator system for measuring economic resilience of resource-based cities based on the theory of evolutionary resilience and the related concepts of persistence, adaptation, and transformation. Nineteen resource-based cities in Northeast China were analyzed using the indicator system. The results showed that liaoning and Jilin provinces had higher economic resilience than heilongjiang province. Panjin, Benxi, and Anshan in liaoning province were the top three cities, while Shuangyashan and other coal-based cities in heilongjiang province ranked last. Metals-and petroleum-based cities had significantly higher resilience than coal-based cities. The differences in persistence, adaptability, transformation, and resilience among resource-based cities decreased since the introduction of the Northeast Revitalization Strategy in 2003. forestry-based cities improved the most in terms of resilience, followed by metals-based and multiple-resource cities; however, resilience dropped for coal-based cities, and petroleum-based cities falling the most. The findings illustrate the importance and the way to develop a differentiated approach to improve resilience among resource-based cities.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Ski Resort Development Conditions in Northern China

China′s bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will promote rapid development of domestic ski tourism. More than 10 provinces in the northern China list ski tourism as a new source of growth in the tourism industry. Formulating a scientific evaluation system is an important foundation for ski resort development. By referring to the conditions of existing international ski resorts, a comprehensive index system for evaluating ski resort development was developed based on natural factors, human factors, athletic sports, and popular ski tourism. The system was composed of one target layer, two indices, seven sub-indices and twenty-five basic indices. Based on data collected during a field investigation in 2012 and on a statistical model, the development conditions of the following ski resorts were quantified: Yabuli Ski Resort in heilongjiang province and Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin province in Northeast China, Wanlong Ski Resort in Hebei province and Nanshan Ski Resort in beijing in the northern China, and Silk Road International Ski Resort in Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the northwestern China. The resulting index values of development conditions at Beidahu, Yabuli, Wanlong, Nanshan, and Silk Road International Ski Resorts were 0.304, 0.278, 0.270, 0.214, and –0.025, respectively. Various natural and human factors exert positive and negative effects on the development potential of ski resorts. The development conditions of the five ski resorts were inferior to those of first-class international resorts. Therefore, the development conditions of the five ski resorts should be improved with future construction.

The Asian larch bark beetle, Ips subelongatus, is considered to be the major pest of larch within its natural range. We investigated the electrophysiological and behavioral characteristics as well as mitochondrial DNA cytochrome oxidase subunit I sequences of L subelongatus from 13 geographic populations throughout northeastern China in order to explore population divergence of aggregation pheromone responses and the extent of potential genetic divergence. Electrophysiological analyses showed that antennae of I. sube-longatus from all the six tested populations responded strongly to （S）-（-）-ipsenol （100% detection; 0.35-0.73 mV） in gas chromatography （GC）-electroantennographic detection （EAD） analyses, while its antipode, （R）-（＋）-ipsenol was antennally inactive. I. subelon- gatus populations varied in their responses to （R）-（-）- and （S）-（＋）-ipsdienol in GC-EAD analyses. Behavioral bioassays demonstrated that （S）-（-）-ipsenol alone was significantly attractive at all the tested sites, supporting its status as a key pheromone component of L subelongatus, whereas （S）-（＋）-ipsdienol was inactive alone. Adding （S）-（＋）-ipsdienol to （S）-（-）-ipsenol did not have any effect on the trap catches from some populations in Inner Mongolia. However, （S）-（＋）-ipsdienol showed a strong synergistic effect on （S）-（-）- ipsenol from several populations in Jilin and liaoning provinces, and a weak synergistic effect from some transition populations in heilongjiang province. Furthermore, 27 mito- chondrial haplotypes were found among the 13 populations （intraspecific nucleotide di- vergence, 0.1%-1.1%）. Analyses of molecular variance and haplotype networks indicated that different geographic populations have developed some genetic variation but did not form completely independent groups. 目的对黑龙江省栽培和野生赤芍药效成分含量进行了分析,旨在揭示土壤养分因子对赤芍药效成分形成与积累的影响。方法采用栽培与野生赤芍对照评价的试验方式,通过高效液相色谱测定数据,运用SPSS20.0进行数据统计,基于因子分析和典型相关分析(CA)方法对黑龙江省栽培和野生赤芍土壤养分含量及植株药效成分含量关系进行分析。结果①栽培赤芍土壤中有机碳、全氮和碱解氮及速效钾含量显著低于野生赤芍土壤,而速效磷显著高于野生赤芍土壤。②栽培赤芍的芍药总苷含量显著低于野生赤芍。在黑龙江省北纬43°~52°范围内,栽培和野生赤芍的芍药苷含量随区域纬度增高而呈增加趋势,氧化芍药苷、芍药内酯苷和苯甲酰芍药苷含量无规律性变化。③因子分析表明,从栽培和野生赤芍生长土壤养分指标均提取出2个主因子,其累计贡献率栽培赤芍(52.72%)小于野生赤芍(65.33%)。④典型相关分析表明,栽培赤芍中氧化芍药苷、儿茶素和苯甲酰芍药苷和芍药苷含量随土壤速效磷和总有机碳含量的增加而增加,随着土壤pH的升高而下降,其中土壤速效磷的影响载荷值(0.649)高于土壤总有机碳(0.491);野生赤芍中氧化芍药苷和芍药苷含量随土壤总有机碳和全氮含量的增加而增加,其中土壤总有机碳的影响载荷值(0.868)高于土壤全氮(0.746)。结论黑龙江省赤芍药效成分含量因土壤养分环境不同而有所差异,栽培赤芍中氧化芍药苷、儿茶素、苯甲酰芍药苷及芍药苷含量与土壤速效磷和总有机碳含量呈正相关,野生赤芍中氧化芍药苷、芍药苷含量与土壤总有机碳和全氮含量呈正相关。栽培过程中,适宜的磷肥和有机肥施用有利于赤芍药效成分的积累。

Resistance to powdery mildew is an important trait of interest in many wheat breeding programs. The information on genes conferring resistance to powdery mildew in wheat cultivars is useful in parental selection. Winter wheat breeding line DH51302 derived from liangxing 99 and cultivar Shimai 26 derived from Jimai 22 showed identical infection patterns against 13 isolates of Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici(Bgt) that causes wheat powdery mildew. DH51302 and Shimai 26 were crossed to a powdery mildew susceptible cultivar Zhongzuo 9504 and the F2:3 families were used in molecular localization of the resistance genes. Fourteen polymorphic markers, which were linked to Pm52 from liangxing 99, were used to establish the genetic linkage maps for the resistance genes Pm DH51302 and Pm SM26 in DH51302 and Shimai 26, respectively. These genes were placed in the same genetic interval where Pm52 resides. Analysis of gene-linked molecular markers indicated that Pm DH51302 and Pm SM26 differed from other powdery mildew resistance genes on chromosome arm 2 BL, such as Pm6, Pm33, Pm51, Ml Zec1, Ml AB10, and Pm64. Based on the results of reaction patterns to different Bgt isolates and molecular marker localization, together with the pedigree information, DH51302 and Shimai 26 carried the same gene, Pm52, which confers their resistance to powdery mildew.

Integrating TM and Ancillary Geographical Data with Classification Trees for Land Cover Classification of Marsh Area

The main objective of this research is to determine the capacity of land cover classification combining spec- tral and textural features of Landsat TM imagery with ancillary geographical data in wetlands of the Sanjiang Plain, heilongjiang province, China. Semi-variograms and Z-test value were calculated to assess the separability of grey-level co-occurrence texture measures to maximize the difference between land cover types. The degree of spatial autocorrelation showed that window sizes of 3×3 pixels and 11×11 pixels were most appropriate for Landsat TM im- age texture calculations. The texture analysis showed that co-occurrence entropy, dissimilarity, and variance texture measures, derived from the Landsat TM spectrum bands and vegetation indices provided the most significant statistical differentiation between land cover types. Subsequently, a Classification and Regression Tree (CART) algorithm was applied to three different combinations of predictors: 1) TM imagery alone (TM-only); 2) TM imagery plus image texture (TM+TXT model); and 3) all predictors including TM imagery, image texture and additional ancillary GIS in- formation (TM+TXT+GIS model). Compared with traditional Maximum likelihood Classification (MLC) supervised classification, three classification trees predictive models reduced the overall error rate significantly. Image texture measures and ancillary geographical variables depressed the speckle noise effectively and reduced classification error rate of marsh obviously. For classification trees model making use of all available predictors, omission error rate was 12.90% and commission error rate was 10.99% for marsh. The developed method is portable, relatively easy to im- plement and should be applicable in other settings and over larger extents.
