Nanoelectrodes have been shown to be powerful tools for nanoscopic research on single entities,deepening the understanding of heterogeneity and stochastics for single molecules,nanoparticles and cells[1–3].However,despite their importance,current nanoelectrode preparations are highly restrained to flame/electrochemical etching,metal sputtering,electrochemical deposition,etc.[3],resulting in a limited range of materials(mainly gold,platinum and carbon)for potential-resolved detection of redox-active species(Table S1 online).The enrichment of preparation methods to introduce novel materials and mechanisms should prove significant for the development of nanoelectrodes.

Use of a flexible thermoelectric source is a feasible approach to realizing self-powered wearable electronics and the Internet of Things. Inorganic thin films are promising candidates for fabricating flexible power supply, but obtaining high-thermoelectric-performance thin films remains a big challenge. In the present work, a p-type BixSb2-xTe3 thin film is designed with a high figure of merit of 1.11 at 393 K and exceptional flexibility (less than 5% increase in resistance after 1000 cycles of bending at a radius of similar to 5 mm). The favorable comprehensive performance of the BixSb2-xTe3 flexible thin film is due to its excellent crystallinity, optimized carrier concentration, and low elastic modulus, which have been verified by experiments and theoretical calculations. Further, a flexible device is fabricated using the prepared p-type BixSb2-xTe3 and n-type Ag2Se thin films. Consequently, an outstanding power density of similar to 1028 mu W cm(-2) is achieved at a temperature difference of 25 K. This work extends a novel concept to the fabrication of high-performance flexible thin films and devices for wearable energy harvesting.

Gandou decoction(GDD),a well-known traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,has been widely used for decades to treat Wilson's disease(WD)in China due to its remarkable clinical ***,the chemical constituents of GDD still remain unclear because of their *** this work,a reliable and sensitive strategy based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MSE)and UNIFI informatics platform was applied to investigate the chemical components in *** total,96 compounds including anthraquinones,alkaloids,protostane triterpenoids,flavonoids,triterpenoid saponins,tannins,curcuminoids,etc,were identified or tentatively characterized from GDD by comparing their retention time,accurate mass within 5 ppm error and MSE fragmentation *** them,eleven compounds were confirmed unambiguously with reference *** compounds in different chemical structure types were analyzed in fragmentation patterns and characteristic ***,to better understand the chemical contribution of individual herbs to the whole decoction,the corresponding each herb in GDD was also *** study developed a rapid method for characterizing the chemical constituents in GDD,which could not only be used for chemical standardization and quality control,but also be helpful for further research of GDD in vivo.

Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF), one of the third generation light sources, aims to pro-duce high brightness and/or high flux X-ray source for users; therefore insertion devices (IDs) are important magnetic elements for SSRF. In this paper, the linear perturbations due to IDs toward its storage ring lattice, such as beta func-tion distortions, tune shifts, emittance growths, and energy spreads are estimated by using analytical formulae, and the nonlinear effects from IDs, especially dynamic aperture, are simulated by using Racetrack code. The results show that (a) the reduction of dynamic aperture from single undulator is negligible, since electron beam energy of 3.5 GeV is high and ID’s magnetic field is low, and the beta functions in the middle of straight sections, where ID is located, are well optimized; (b) however, the reduction from single wigglers, especially super-conducting wiggler, is visible, be-cause of its higher magnetic field; (c) effects of each ID on emittance growths and energy spreads are less than 7%.

Rapid response to lipids profile and leukocyte gene expression after rosuvastatin administration in Chinese healthy volunteers

Background Statins are potent lipid-lowering agents widely used in medical practice. There has been growing evidence suggesting the pleiotropic effects of statins in addition to the lipid-lowering effect. However, it is still unclear how rapidly the beneficial effects of statins occur. The transcriptome of peripheral blood cells can be used as a sensor to drug therapy. The purpose of the study was to investigate the acute effects of rosuvastatin both on lipids profile and gene expression of peripheral leukocytes following therapy with a single dose of rosuvastatin. Methods Thirty healthy Chinese male volunteers were enrolled. The serum lipids, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, and plasma fibrinogen were determined before and 72 hours after administration of 20 mg of rosuvastatin. The differentially expressed genes of peripheral leukocytes after administration of rosuvastatin were screened using human oligonucleotide microarray gene expression chips. Then four of the differentially expressed genes including ATM, CASP8 IL8RB and SIOOB were verified by real-time polymerase chain reaction （PCR）. Results Rosuvastatin decreased both serum total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol significantly 72 hours after administration of a single dose of 20 mg rosuvastatin. However, no significant changes occurred in blood high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, C-reactive protein and fibrinogen after the treatment. A total of 24 genes were differentially expressed after the treatment. They were involved in important cell biological processes such as cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, apoptosis signaling, etc. Conclusions Rosuvastatin rapidly modulates the serum lipids and affects the gene expression of peripheral leukocytes in healthy volunteers. This finding provides some new clues for further studies on its potential pleiotrooic effects.

Pleural effusions, the excessive accumulations of fluid in pleural space, are frequently associated with a variety of clinical diseases, such as cancer, tuberculosis, pneumonia, etc. This means that both malignant and benign diseases can cause pleural effusions. Therefore, it is essential for clinicians to determine the etiology prior to the treatment of patients with pleural effusions.

A novel type of chiral molecular tweezers has been designed and synthesized by using deoxycholic acid as backbone and ethanoyl and the chiral unsymmetrical urea unit as arms. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, MS spectra and elemental analysis. These molecular tweezers showed good binding ability for neutral molecules and chiral molecules.

目的了解新型冠状病毒感染流行前及期间医院门急诊空气净化技术使用情况。方法采用分层抽样的方法,选取中国7个地区7省份340家不同级别、不同类型的医院,通过问卷调查各医院门急诊不同区域新冠病毒感染流行前及期间(以2020年1月份为界)空气净化方式的使用情况。结果共收到340家医院的调查问卷,新冠病毒感染流行前各医院门急诊使用自然通风的比例最高;新冠病毒感染流行期间,42.44%医院门诊大厅、44.00%医院内科诊区、44.50%医院的急诊流水区域空气净化方式发生改变,主要以增加空气消毒机为主。结论医院空气净化方式从自然通风到空气消毒机转变。

Hepatocyte growth factor （HGF） is a glycoprotein that induces prostate cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion. The activation of transient receptor potential canonical 6 （TRPC6） channels is considered important in promoting prostate cancer cell proliferation. In this study, we assessed the role of endogenous TRPC6 channels in the HGF-induced cell proliferation of prostate cancer. Reverse transcription-PCR and Western blotting were used to investigate TRPC6 expression. Electrophysiological techniques （whole-cell patch clamp configuration） and Ca^2＋ imaging analysis were used to investigate the channel activity in cells. The effects of TRPC6 channels on cell cycle progression, cell apoptosis and cell growth were also examined. TRPC6 and c-MET were expressed in DU145 and PC3 cells. In addition, functional TRPC6 channels were present in DU145 and PC3 cells, and TRPC6 knockdown suppressed TRPC-Iike currents evoked by oleoyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycerol （OAG）. Inhibition of TRPC6 channels in DU145 and PC3 cells abolished OAG- and HGF-induced Ca^2＋ entry. Furthermore, inhibition of TRPC6 channels arrested DU145 and PC3 cells at the G2/M phase and suppressed HGF-induced cell proliferation. Collectively, our results indicate that TRPC6 has an important role in HGF-induced DU145 and PC3 cell proliferation.

The recent increase in blast/bombing incidents all over the world has pushed the development of effective strengthening approaches to enhance the blast resistance of existing civil *** geopolymer composite(EGC)is a promising material featured by eco-friendly,fast-setting and strain-hardening characteristics for emergent strengthening and ***,the fiber optimization for preparing EGC and its protective effect on structural elements under blast scenarios are *** this study,laboratory tests were firstly conducted to evaluate the effects of fiber types on the properties of EGC in terms of workability,dry shrinkage,and mechanical properties in compression,tension and *** experimental results showed that EGC containing PE fiber exhibited suitable workability,acceptable dry shrinkage and superior mechanical properties compared with other types of *** that,a series of field tests were carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of EGC retrofitting layer on the enhancement of blast performance of typical *** tests include autoclaved aerated concrete(AAC)masonry walls subjected to vented gas explosion,reinforced AAC panels subjected to TNT explosion and plain concrete slabs subjected to contact *** was found that EGC could effectively enhance the blast resistance of structural elements in different *** AAC masonry walls and panels,with the existence of EGC,the integrity of specimens could be maintained,and their deflections and damage were significantly *** plain concrete slabs,the EGC overlay could reduce the diameter and depth of the crater and spallation of specimens.
