Developing high-performance aqueous Zn-ion batteries from sustainable biomass becomes increasingly vital for large-scale energy storage in the foreseeable ***,γ-MnO_(2) uniformly loaded on N-doped carbon derived from grapefruit peel is successfully fabricated in this work,and particularly the composite cathode with carbon carrier quality percentage of 20 wt%delivers the specific capacity of 391.2 mAh g^(−1)at 0.1 A g^(−1),outstanding cyclic stability of 92.17%after 3000 cycles at 5 A g^(−1),and remarkable energy density of 553.12 Wh kg^(−1) together with superior coulombic efficiency of~100%.Additionally,the cathodic biosafety is further explored specifically through in vitro cell toxicity experiments,which verifies its tremendous potential in the application of clinical ***,Zinc ion energy storage mechanism of the cathode is mainly discussed from the aspects of Jahn–Teller effect and Mn domains distribution combined with theoretical analysis and experimental ***,a novel perspective of the conversion from biomass waste to biocompatible Mn-based cathode is successfully developed.

This paper studies the change of electronic energy demand when people charge various kinds of electronic products (including small and large ones) in different places, as well as costs of meeting needs. By setting up a linear programming problem with the actual demand number of various charging carriers as decision variables, with the goal of the maximum cost reduction, and with the constraint of meeting needs of various customers, this paper finds out the lowest cost scheme.

The conventional multilevel inverters(Mlis)have the disadvantages of numerous devices,incapacity of boost,unbalance for capacitor’s voltage,high complexity for control,and *** by this issue,a seven-level boost inverter(7LBI)based on a switched capacitor is presented for singlephase applications in this *** proposed 7LBI using only seven transistors can achieve seven output levels,1.5 voltage gain,and natural balance of capacitors’voltages without sensors or other auxiliary methods,which illustrates its suitability for the applications of renewable energy *** configuration of topology and operating principles are illustrated in *** natural balance of capacitors and capacitance calculations are deduced as ***,the comparative study is conducted for different types of *** results illustrate the merits of the proposed 7LBI with respect to reduced devices,lower voltage stress,and less power ***,a simulation for the proposed 7LBI with PWM modulation is realized based on the theoretical analysis;an experimental prototype is also implemented,verifying multilevel output,boost ability,natural balance for switched capacitors,and performance of transient response.

Blockchain-Based Key Management Scheme Using Rational Secret Sharing

Traditional blockchain key management schemes store private keys in the same location,which can easily lead to security issues such as a single point of ***,decentralized threshold key management schemes have become a research focus for blockchain private key *** security of private keys for blockchain user wallet is highly related to user identity authentication and digital asset *** threshold blockchain private key management schemes based on verifiable secret sharing have made some progress,but these schemes do not consider participants’self-interested behavior,and require trusted nodes to keep private key fragments,resulting in a narrow application scope and low deployment efficiency,which cannot meet the needs of personal wallet private key escrow and recovery in public *** design a private key management scheme based on rational secret sharing that considers the self-interest of participants in secret sharing protocols,and constrains the behavior of rational participants through reasonable mechanism design,making it more suitable in distributed scenarios such as the public *** proposed scheme achieves the escrow and recovery of personal wallet private keys without the participation of trusted nodes,and simulate its implementation on smart *** to other existing threshold wallet solutions and keymanagement schemes based on password-protected secret sharing(PPSS),the proposed scheme has a wide range of applications,verifiable private key recovery,low communication overhead,higher computational efficiency when users perform one-time multi-key escrow,no need for trusted nodes,and personal rational constraints and anti-collusion attack capabilities.

Exploration of instantaneous frequency for local control assessment in real-time hybrid simulation

Local control parameters such as instantaneous delay and instantaneous amplitude play an essential role in evaluating the performance and maintaining the stability of real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS). However, existing methods have limitations in obtaining this local assessment in either the time domain or frequency domain. In this study, the instantaneous frequency is introduced to determine local control parameters for actuator tracking assessment in a real-time hybrid simulation. Instantaneous properties, including amplitude, delay, frequency and phase, are then calculated based on analytic signals translated from actuator tracking signals through the Hilbert transform. Potential issues are discussed and solutions are proposed for calculation of local control parameters. Numerical simulations are first conducted for sinusoidal and chirp signals with time varying amplitude error and delay to demonstrate the potential of the proposed method. Laboratory tests also are conducted for a predefined random signal as well as the RTHS of a single degree of freedom structure with a self-centering viscous damper to experimentally verify the effectiveness of the proposed use of the instantaneous frequency. Results from the ensuing analysis clearly demonstrate that the instantaneous frequency provides great potential for local control assessment, and the proposed method enables local tracking parameters with good accuracy.

Design and Implementation of a Time Synchronization Method for UOWC Networks

Underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) technology facilitates high-speed data transmission among multiple nodes in underwater networks. Nevertheless, the absence of a common clock poses a challenge to achieving systematic and reliable access for multiple nodes within these networks. This paper presents a time synchronization method for UOWC networks to ensure the successful execution of the media access control (MAC) protocol. In this method, the node obtains timestamps by exchanging messages with the optical access point (OAP). Subsequently, the node calculates the clock drift relative to the OAP and the propagation time,ensuring that transmitted data packets can arrive approximately at the time specified by the OAP. To validate the effect of the proposed method, an experimental UOWC prototype, including the OAP and nodes, is implemented using field programmable gate array (FPGA). The experimental results demonstrate that the maximum difference between the actual arrival times of two data packets that are expected to reach the OAP simultaneously according to the MAC protocol meets the requirements of the quasi-synchronous code division multiple access (QS-CDMA) system, thereby substantiating the effectiveness of this synchronization method.

All-solution processed organic solar cells are the ultimate aim of printable photovoltaics, but their electrical losses arising from poor contact of top electrodes greatly limit efficiency improvement. To solve the problem, a solution-processed hybrid top electrode was constructed using silver nanowires(AgNWs) as the skeleton and ZnO nanoparticles(ZnO-NPs) as the *** constructing the skeleton, a spin-rinsing treatment was first used to reduce the amount of the residual insulating polyvinylpyrrolidone wrapped around the AgNWs to promote intimate contact among the AgNWs in the skeleton. Then, the ZnO-NPs matrix was deposited onto the AgNWs skeleton, bridging the AgNWs skeleton with the underlayer ZnO-NPs electron transporting layer(ETL). The underlayer ZnO-NPs ETL can also induce the growth of the ZnO-NPs matrix to minimize lattice mismatch, which creates additional transport channels from the ETL to the AgNWs skeleton for charge collection. As a result,the obtained electrode significantly enhances the electrical contact in the device, thus delivering record power conversion efficiencies of 16.04% and 14.54% for rigid and flexible all-solution processed OSCs, respectively.

Thin polymer electrolyte with MXene functional layer for uniform li^(+) deposition in all-solid-state lithium battery

Solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) shows great potential for all-solid-state batteries because of the inherent safety and flexibility;however, the unfavourable li+deposition and large thickness hamper its development and application. Herein, a laminar MXene functional layer-thin SPE layer-cathode integration(MXene-PEO-LFP) is designed and fabricated. The MXene functional layer formed by stacking rigid MXene nanosheets imparts higher compressive strength relative to PEO electrolyte layer. And the abundant negatively-charged groups on MXene functional layer effectively repel anions and attract cations to adjust the charge distribution behavior at electrolyte–anode interface. Furthermore,the functional layer with rich lithiophilic groups and outstanding electronic conductivity results in low li nucleation overpotential and nucleation energy barrier. In consequence, the cell assembled with MXene-PEO-LFP, where the PEO electrolyte layer is only 12 μm, much thinner than most solid electrolytes, exhibits uniform, dendrite-free li+deposition and excellent cycling stability. High capacity(142.8 mAh g-1), stable operation of 140 cycles(capacity decay per cycle, 0.065%), and low polarization potential(0.5 C) are obtained in this li|MXene-PEO-LFP cell,which is superior to most PEO-based electrolytes under identical condition. This integrated design may provide a strategy for the large-scale application of thin polymer electrolytes in all-solid-state battery.
