For nanotube-based electronics to become a viable alternative to silicon technology,high-density aligned carbon nanotubes are *** this paper,we report the combined use of low-pressure chemical vapor deposition and stacked multiple transfer to achieve high-density aligned *** using an optimized nanotube synthesis recipe,we have achieved high-density aligned carbon nanotubes with density as high as 30 tubes/μ*** addition,a facile stacked multiple transfer technique has been developed to further increase the nanotube density to 55 tubes/μ***,high-performance submicron carbon nanotube field-effect transistors have been fabricated on the high-density aligned *** removing the metallic nanotubes by electrical breakdown,the devices exhibit on-current density of 92.4μA/μm and normalized transconductance of 13.3μS/μ***,benchmarking with the aligned carbon nanotube transistors in the literature indicates that our devices exhibit the best performance so far,which is attributed to both the increased nanotube density and scaling down of channel *** study shows the great potential of using such high-density aligned nanotubes for high performance nanoelectronics and analog/RF applications.

A subbituminous coal was oxidized with air at 150℃on a fixed bed for 4 h and xanthated with carbondisulfide in a basic solution,at 30 or 5-10℃.This xanthated coal was evaluated for the removal of Hg^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from 7,000 mg/L aqueous solutions;metal concentrations were detemmined by atomic absorption *** ionexchange of the xanthated coal was compared against those of the original subbituminous coal,a sulfonated subbituminouscoal,activated carbon,commercial activated carbon,and commercial synthetic *** commercial synthetic resinshowed the highest exchange capacity(concentration factor 98%)followed by the xanthated coal(concentration factor 96%).The retention of cadmium on the sulfonated subbituminous coal was lower(exchange capacity 0.56 meq/g)thanthat of xanthated coals(1.85±0.09 meq/g).Our xanthated coal showed a better Cd^(2+)removal(8l%o against 15%)than anon preoxidized 40-h-xanthated coal,which shows that oxidation of coal increased the amount of oxygenated groups whichenhanced xanthation.

The shale gas revolution and the carbon-neutrality goal are motivating the landscape toward the synthesis of value-added chemicals or fuels from underutilized ethane with the assistance of greenhouse gas CO_(2).Combining ethane aromatization with CO_(2)reduction offers an opportunity to directly produce liquid products for facile separation,storage,and *** the present work,Fe/ZSM-5 catalysts showed promise in the simultaneous CO_(2)reduction and ethane aromatization at atmospheric pressure and 873 *** catalysts were further investigated using X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)measurements under in-situ conditions,indicating that most of Fe species existed in the form of Fe oxides and a portion of Fe was incorporated into the ZSM-5 framework generating lewis acid *** types of Fe species remained almost unchanged under reaction conditions,contributing to an enhanced aromatization activity of Fe/*** effects of CO_(2)and steam on the acid sites and in turn aromatization activity were also investigated by transient studies,which exhibited a reversible modification ***,CO_(2)was identified to be critical to enhance coke resistance and in turn catalyst *** work highlights the feasibility of using CO_(2)to assist the upgrading of abundant ethane from shale gas to aromatics over non-precious Fe-based zeolite catalysts.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.
