Background:Our clinical practice of laparoscopic liver resection(LLR)had achieved better short-term and long-term benefits for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(hcc)over open liver resection(OLR),but the underlying mechanisms are not *** study was to find out whether systemic inflammation plays an important ***:A total of 103 patients with early-stage hcc under liver resection were enrolled(LLR group,n=53;OLR group,n=50).The expression of 9 inflammatory cytokines in patients at preoperation,postoperative day 1(POD1)and POD7 was quantified by Luminex Multiplex *** relationships of the cytokines and the postoperative outcomes were compared between LLR and ***:Seven of the circulating cytokines were found to be significantly upregulated on POD1 after LLR or OLR compared to their preoperative *** to OLR,the POD1 levels of granulocytemacrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-cSF),interleukin-6(IL-6),IL-8,and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(McP-1)in the LLR group were significantly *** POD1 levels of these cytokines were significantly correlated with longer operative time and higher volume of blood loss during *** levels of these cytokines were positively associated with postoperative liver injury,and the length of hospital ***,a high level of IL-6 at POD1 was a risk factor for hcc recurrence and poor disease-free survival after liver ***:Significantly lower level of GM-cSF,IL-6,IL-8,and McP-1 after liver resection represented a milder systemic inflammation which might be an important mechanism to offer better short-term and long-term outcomes in LLR over OLR.

In graphic design,layout is a result of the interaction between the design elements in the foreground and background ***,prevalent research focuses on enhancing the quality of layout generation algorithms,overlooking the interaction and controllability that are essential for designers when applying these methods in realworld *** paper proposes a user-centered layout design system,Iris,which provides designers with an interactive environment to expedite the workflow,and this environment encompasses the features of user-constraint specification,layout generation,custom editing,and final *** satisfy the multiple constraints specified by designers,we introduce a novel generation model,multi-constraint LayoutVQ-VAE,for advancing layout generation under intra-and inter-domain *** and quantitative experiments on our proposed model indicate that it outperforms or is comparable to prevalent state-of-the-art models in multiple *** studies on Iris further demonstrate that the system significantly enhances design efficiency while achieving human-like layout designs.

In the present work,tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on the campus of Bahrain Polytechnic,Kingdom of Bahrain,from both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel faces south with an angle of 26°with respect to the horizontal,coinciding with the local geographical *** second panel is moved by two motors,controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so that the Sun’s rays are perpendicular to the panel surface.A pyranometer is installed on each panel,recording the tilted global solar irradiance,stored by using a data *** analysis of the data obtained shows a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for the moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh/m^(2) on the fixed panel).More importantly,in June,when the energy demand in Bahrain is elevated due to the increased residential cooling loads,the solar energy received by the moving panel is 54.7%higher compared with that of the fixed *** a percentage basis,the increase in solar energy from the moving panel is profound in the early morning and late evening ***,the reduction in the solar energy received by the fixed panel from May to June does not appear in the moving panel because of the adjustable orientation of the *** the year,the mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for the fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for the moving *** winter,solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weather conditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28%of the corresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries.

We demonstrate that a bulky cyclic amino ligand, specifically 1,1,3,3-tetraphenylisoindolinyl, can facilitate the formation of a transient stannyne, endowed with adjacent ambiphilic carbon and tin centers. This stannyne, manifesting carbene-like behavior,engages in an unprecedented sequence of reactions, including Buchner ring expansion, [1,3]sigmatropic, and [1,5]-sigmatropic shifts, culminating in the synthesis of a stable cyclic(alkyl)(amino)stannylene. This compound represents the first tin analogue of the well-known cyclic(alkyl)(amino)carbenes. Both the bonding configuration and the formation process of this stannylene are thoroughly analyzed through quantum chemical computations. Our findings pave the way for further synthesis of unusual main group species using bulky isoindolinyl substituents, emphasizing their potential as a versatile tool in synthetic chemistry.

highly pure red phosphors LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(M=Sr,ca) doped with Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were synthesized via solution combustion method and their crystal structure and luminescence dynamics were studied to explore its suitability in white light emitting *** Rietveld refinement analysis of the powder Xray diffraction patterns reveals that the phosphors belong to the pure triclinic phase of LiSr(PO_(3))_(3) and Lica(PO_(3)) with space group P-1(2).The scanning electron microscopy images showed the agglomerated *** photoluminescence emission spectra under 393 nm show an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm ascribed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the spectroscopic properties such as luminescence behaviour,and Stark splitting were used to examine the symmetry of Eu^(3+)ions in LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(M=Sr,ca) phosphors in terms of distortion induced upon *** Stark splitting shows that the actual site symmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was estimated to be D_(2) type for both *** photometric properties of Lica(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)such as commission International de l'Eclairage coordinates(x=0.64,y=0.36) near to the standard one(red),high color purity(95%) and higher brightness reveal that the phosphor has the capability of acting as a red component in n-UV white light emitting diodes.
