Three-dimensional spatial and temporal distributions of dust in roadway tunneling

To study the three-dimensional spatial and temporal distributions of dust in tunneling roadways,and to solve the problems of inadequate time and limited number of monitoring points,this paper designs a device for the real-time monitoring and storage of data on the concentrations of dust at multiple measuring points in the same section of a *** proposed device can measure the total concentration of dust and that of respirable dust in real time at different instances and locations,and using different working *** measurements are used to study the temporal and spatial migration of *** results show that there was a sharp fluctuation zone 0–25 m from the heading face,about 25–40 m was high speed subsidence,beyond 40 m was gentle subsidence,The change of respiratory dust is much *** different distances from the heading face,the total dust concentration exhibited a process of“violent oscillation–rapid descent–stable descent,”while the respirable dust exhibited a process of“fluctuating ascent–gradual subsidence.”Changes in the concentrations of total dust and respirable dust dust were consistent at different positions in the same section of the *** concentration of dust near the wall was low,and those along the sidewalk and air duct of the roadway were slightly higher than in the *** concentration of dust farther down the air duct decreased more slowly than that in the remaining lines of *** amounts of dust featuring large particles settled *** concentrations of dust were observed to be intermittent,and the background value of dust concentration within 100 m of heading face was between 0.5 and 3 mg/m3.

The Su–Schrieffer–Heeger(SSH)model,commonly used for robust state transfers through topologically protected edge pumping,has been generalized and exploited to engineer diverse functional quantum ***,we propose to realize a fast topological beam splitter based on a generalized SSH model by accelerating the quantum state transfer(QST)process essentially limited by adiabatic *** scheme involves delicate orchestration of the instantaneous energy spectrum through exponential modulation of nearest neighbor coupling strengths and onsite energies,yielding a significantly accelerated beam splitting *** to properties of topological pumping and accelerated QST,the beam splitter exhibits strong robustness against parameter disorders and losses of *** addition,the model demonstrates good scalability and can be extended to two-dimensional crossed-chain structures to realize a topological router with variable numbers of output *** work provides practical prospects for fast and robust topological QST in feasible quantum devices in large-scale quantum information processing.

Plastid ribosomal protein LPE2 is involved in photosynthesis and the response to C/N balance in Arabidopsis thaliana^oo

The balance between cellular carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) must be tightly coordinated to sustain op-timal growth and development in plants. In chloroplasts, photosynthesis converts inorganic C to organic C, which is important for maintenance of C content in plant cells. However, little is known about the role of chloroplasts in C/N balance. Here, we identified a nuclear-encoded pro-tein LOW PHOTOSYNTHETIC EFFICIENCY2 (LPE2) that it is required for photosynthesis and C/N balance in Arabidopsis. LPE2 is specifically localized in the chlor-oplast. Both loss-of-function mutants, lpe2-1 and lpe2-2, showed lower photosynthetic activity, characterized by slower electron transport and lower PSII quantum yield than the wild type. Notably, LPE2 is predicted to encode the plastid ribosomal protein S21 (RPS21). Deficiency of LPE2 significantly perturbed the thylakoid membrane composition and plastid protein accumulation, although the transcription of plastid genes is not affected ob-viously. More interestingly, transcriptome analysis in-dicated that the loss of LPE2 altered the expression of C and N response related genes in nucleus, which is con-firmed by quantitative real-time-polymerase chain re-action. Moreover, deficiency of LPE2 suppressed the re-sponse of C/N balance in physiological level. Taken together, our findings suggest that LPE2 plays dual roles in photosynthesis and the response to C/N balance.

Association between TSH Level and Pregnancy Outcomes in Euthyroid Women Undergoing IVF/ICSI:A Retrospective Study and Meta analysis

The aim of this study was to determine the association between thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level and pregnancy outcomes in euthyroid women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).A total of 1185 women were enrolled in the retrospective study,and 12 studies with a total of 6624 women were included in the meta-analysis (including the data of the present retrospective study).Participants in the retrospective study were divided into two groups in terms of their serum TSH levels:TSH 2.5 mIU/L group (h=355).They were monitored for the status of clinical pregnancy or *** the TSH 2.5 mIU/ L group,175 (49.3%) women achieved clinical pregnancy,while 21 (5.9%) had early pregnancy loss and 3 (0.8%) had ectopic *** significant differences were observed between the two groups in pregnancy outcomes (P=0.126,P=0.512,P=0.297).The meta-analysis also revealed no significant difference in the clinical pregnancy rate and the miscarriage rate between women with serum TSH 2.5 mIU/*** conclusion,high TSH levels (TSH level >2.5 mIU/L) did not affect clinical pregnancy rate or increase miscarriage rate in euthyroid women undergoing IVF/ICSI.

Quantitative HRTEM and its application in the study of oxide materials

On the basis of a state-of-the-art aberration-corrected transmission electron microscope, the spherical aberration coefficient CSof the objective lens can be tuned to either a positive or a negative value. The use of a negative value of CS combined with an overfocus setting of the objective lens leads to the development of the negative CSimaging（NCSI） technique. Images obtained using the NCSI technique show superior contrast and signal intensity at atomic column positions than the corresponding positive CSimages, especially for weakly scattering oxygen columns that are in close proximity to strongly scattering cation columns in oxides. Based on the images obtained under the NCSI condition, quantification of the image contrast allows measurements of the atom positions with a precision of a few picometers and the local chemistry on atomic scale. In the present review, we discuss firstly the benefits of the NCSI technique in studies of oxide materials,and then show a procedure for quantitative analysis of the image based on the absolute value of contrast. In the last part,examples are given for the application of the quantitative high-resolution transmission electron microscopy（HRTEM） to the study of electric dipoles of oxide ferroelectrics and atomic-scale chemistry of interfaces.

A novel experimental method to evaluate the impact of volute's asymmetry on the performance of a high pressure ratio turbocharger compressor

All components of a turbocharger compressor are axisymmetric except for the spiral-shaped,gas-collecting overhung *** this paper,a novel experimental method to evaluate the impact of the volute's asymmetry on centrifugal compressor performance is proposed and applied to a high pressure-ratio turbocharger *** method can isolate the impact of the volute's asymmetry on the compressor performance for the first *** prove the considerable impact of the volute's asymmetry on the compressor performance,especially the stability and *** impact of the volute's asymmetry on compressor stability correlates with rotational speed and thus with the pressure ratio,constricting the stable flow range by up to 47 percent and decreasing the maximum efficiency by 4.8 percent at the design *** results provide evidence to exploit the potential of intrinsic non-axisymmetric flow induced by asymmetric volute to improve the performance of turbocharger compressor with a high pressure ratio.

By intergranular addition of Pr-Cu-Ti alloy powders in the Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets with the normal B component,we propose an approach to the optimization of grain boundary and local Nd-Fe-B composition *** coercivity is enhanced from 1.42 to 1.86 T,while further addition leads to a reduction in remanence and *** analyses of phase composition reveal that Ti mainly exists in the form of metallic Ti alloy,and part of Ti combines with B to form the TiB2 phase after the liquid phase sintering *** process results in a consumption of B in the local Nd-Fe-B composition system and a change of the grain boundary component,which contributes to the formation process of the RE_(6)(Fe,M)_(14) phase after the annealing ***,with the modification of grain boundary and composition system,the intergranular addition of Pr-Cu-Ti induces the generation of continuous thin grain boundary *** promotes the intergrain exchange decoupling,increasing the coercivity in the annealed *** the excess addition results in the segregation of TiB_(2),as well as the precipitation of TiB_(2) into the Nd-Fe-B phase,which leads to structural ***,the further effort for the addition alloy with Ti to reduce the deterioration of the microstructure will lead to further improvement in magnetic properties.

Cascading failure in multilayer networks with dynamic dependency groups＊

The cascading failure often occurs in real networks. It is significant to analyze the cascading failure in the complex network research. The dependency relation can change over time. Therefore, in this study, we investigate the cascading fail- ure in multilayer networks with dynamic dependency groups. We construct a model considering the recovery mechanism. In our model, two effects between layers are defined. Under Effect 1, the dependent nodes in other layers will be disabled as long as one node does not belong to the largest connected component in one layer. Under Effect 2, the dependent nodes in other layers will recover when one node belongs to the largest connected component. The theoretical solution of the largest component is deduced and the simulation results verify our theoretical solution. In the simulation, we analyze the influence factors of the network robustness, including the fraction of dependent nodes and the group size, in our model. It shows that increasing the fraction of dependent nodes and the group size will enhance the network robustness under Effect 1. On the contrary, these will reduce the network robustness under Effect 2. Meanwhile, we find that the tightness of the network connection will affect the robustness of networks. Furthermore, setting the average degree of network as 8 is enough to keep the network robust.

The anti-inflammatory effect of acupuncture and its significance in analgesia

In the mechanisms of acupuncture analgesia, an important aspect often overlooked is the antiinflammatory effect of acupuncture, which is mainly attained through the self-limiting inflammatory response-inflammatory reflex and its regulation of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal(HPA) axis and autonomic nerve system(the vagus nerve and the sympathetic postganglionic fiber). The significance of antiinflammatory effect of acupuncture in analgesia is manifested twofold: The first, inflammatory nociceptive pain is a major type of chronic pain. The second, neurogenic inflammation is the mechanism by which certain acupoints or acu-reflex points(ARPs) are formed at the body surface and have short-cut connections to the pathological focus. Selecting ARPs and applying appropriate sensory stimulation or local microtrauma(affected by different needling means or stimulation parameters), combined with lowfrequency electrical stimulation or the vagus stimulation in the concha region, are helpful to strengthen the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of acupuncture.
