Distinct neutrophil populations arise during certain pathological *** generation of dysfunctional neutrophils during sepsis and their contribution to septicemia-related systemic immune suppression remain *** this study,using an experimental sepsis model that features immunosuppression,we identified a novel population of pathogenic CD200R^(high) neutrophils that are generated during the initial stages of sepsis and contribute to systemic immune suppression by enhancing regulatory T(T_(reg))*** to their CD200R^(low)counterparts,sepsis-generated CD200Rhigh neutrophils exhibit impaired autophagy and dysfunction,with reduced chemotactic migration,superoxide anion production,and TNF-α*** soluble CD200 blocks autophagy and neutrophil maturation in the bone marrow during experimental sepsis,and recombinant CD200 treatment in vitro can induce neutrophil dysfunction similar to that observed in CD200R^(high) *** administration of anα-CD200R antibody effectively reversed neutrophil dysfunction by enhancing autophagy and protecting against a secondary infection challenge,leading to increased *** analysis revealed that CD200R^(high) neutrophils expressed high levels of Igf1,which elicits the generation of Treg cells,while the administration of anα-CD200R antibody inhibited Treg cell generation in a secondary infection *** together,our findings revealed a novel CD200R^(high) neutrophil population that mediates the pathogenesis of sepsis-induced systemic immunosuppression by generating Treg cells.

Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)therapy targeting PD-L1 via monoclonal antibody(m Ab)has shown extensive clinical benefits in the diverse types of advanced ***,most patients are completely refractory to ICB therapy owing to the PD-L1 recycling ***,we propose photo-induced crosslinked and anti-PD-L1 peptide incorporated liposomes(immune checkpoint blockade liposomes;ICB-LPs)to promote PD-L1 multivalent binding for inducing lysosomal degradation of PD-L1 in tumor *** ICB-LPs are prepared by formulation of DC_(8,9)PC with photo-polymerized diacetylenic moiety,1,2-dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine(DPPC)and anti-PD-L1peptide(D-form NYSKPTDRQYHF)-conjugated DSPE-PEG_(2k)(anti-PD-L1-DSPE-PEG_(2k))in a molar ratio of 45:45:10,followed by cross-linking of liposomal bilayer upon UV *** 10 mol% antiPD-L1-DSPE-PEG_(2k)incorporated ICB-LPs have a nano-sized lipid bilayer structure with an average diameter of 137.7±1.04 nm,showing a high stability in serum ***,the ICB-LPs efficiently promote the multivalent binding with PD-L1 on the tumor cell membrane,which are endocytosed with aim to deliver PD-L1 to the lysosomes,wherein the durable PD-L1 degradation is observed for72 h,in contrast to anti PD-L1 m Abs showing the rapid PD-L1 recycling within 9 *** in vitro coculture experiments with CD8^(+)T cells show that ICB-LPs effectively enhance the T cell-mediated antitumor immune responses against tumor cells by blocking the PD-L1/PD-1 *** ICB-LPs are intravenously injected into colon tumor-bearing mice,they efficiently accumulate within the targeted tumor tissues via both passive and active tumor targeting,inducing a potent T cell-mediated antitumor immune response by effective and durable PD-L1 ***,this study demonstrates the superior antitumor efficacy of crosslinked and anti-PD-L1 peptide incorporated liposome formulation that promotes PD-L1 multivalent binding for trafficking of PD-L1 toward

Submicron Ag-coated Cu particles as filler in sintering paste: Suppression of Ag dewetting and improvement of sinterability by surface modification using stearic acid

Four types of submicron Ag-coated Cu particles with different Ag contents were prepared as sintering paste fillers， and the Ag contents of the particles were measured to be 10， 20， 30， and 40 wt%. Four types of particles （in order of increasing Ag content: A10， A20， A30， and A40） were surface-modified with stearic acid， to suppress the Ag shell dewetting and improve sinterability. The surface-modified particles were mixed with a polyol-based solvent to fabricate a resin-free paste. Subsequently， the pastes were screen-printed onto a slide glass and sintered at 250 ℃ in a nitrogen atmosphere for 1–10 min to form an electrode. The electrical resistivity of the sintered film as a function of sintering time was measured using a four-point probe. All the four surface-modified Cu@Ag particles with different Ag contents exhibited decreased electrical resistivity. Particularly， the largest difference in values after and before the surface modification was observed for A40 with the highest Ag content; the electrical resistivities of the initial and surface-modified particles were 1.51×10-4and 6.67×10-5Ω·cm， respectively， after sintering for 10 min. The findings of this study confirmed that the surface modification using stearic acid effectively suppressed the dewetting of the Ag shell and improved the sinterability of the submicron Cu@Ag particles.

Stable operation of highly loaded pure Si-Fe anode under ambient pressure via carboxy silane-directed robust solid electrolyte interphase

Incorporation of higher content Si anode material beyond 5 wt% to Li-ion batteries(LIBs)is challenging,owing to large volume change,swelling,and solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)instability ***,a strategy of diacetoxydimethylsilane(DAmS)additive-directed SEI stabilization is proposed for a stable operation of Si-0.33FeSi_(2)(named as Si-Fe)anode without graphite,which provides siloxane inorganics and organics enrichment that compensate insufficient passivation of fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive and reduce a dependence on *** stable cycling performance of highly loaded(3.5 mA h cm^(-2))pure Si-Fe anode is achieved with 2 wt%DAmS combined with 9 wt%FEC additives under ambient pressure,yielding high capacity 1270 mA h g^(-1)at 0.5 C and significantly improved capacity retention of 81% after 100 cycles,whereas short circuit and rapid capacity fade occur with FEC only ***-directed robust SEI layer dramatically suppresses swelling and particles crossover through separator,and therefore prevents short circuit,demonstrating a possible operation of pure Si or Sidominant anodes in the next-generation high-energy-density and safe LIBs.

Achieving historically anticipated improvement in the performance of integrated circuits is challenging,due to the increasing cost and complexity of the required technologies with each new *** overcome this limitation,the exploration and development of novel interconnect materials and processes are highly desirable in the microelectronics ***(mo)is attracting attention as an advanced interconnect material due to its small resistivity size effect and high cohesive energy;however,effective processing methods for such materials have not been widely ***,we investigate the electrochemical behavior of ions in the confined nanopores that affect the electrical properties and microstructures of nanoscale mo and mo-Co alloys prepared via template-assisted *** in an electrolyte allow the deposition of extremely pure metal materials,due to their interac-tion with metal ions and *** this study,boric acid and tetrabutylammonium bisulfate(TBA)were added to an acetate bath to inhibit the hydrogen evolution *** accelerated the reduction of mo at the surface by inducing surface conduction on the *** mo nanowires with a 130 nm diameter synthesized through high-aspect-ratio nanopore engineering exhibited a resistivity of(63.0±17.9)μΩ*** also evaluated the resistivities of mo-Co alloy nanowires at various compo-sitions toward replacing irreducible conventional barrier/liner *** intermetallic compound formed at a mo composition of 28.6 at%,the resistivity of the mo-Co nanowire was(58.0±10.6)μΩcm,indicat-ing its superior electrical and adhesive properties in comparison with those of conventional barriers such as TaN and ***,density functional theory and non-equilibrium Green's function calcula-tions confirmed that the vertical resistance of the via structure constructed from mo-based materials was 21%lower than that of a conventional Cu/Ta/TaN structure.

面对百年未有之大变局及生活质量生活方式的剧烈变迁,人们的心理行为乃至文化会如何变异?作者假设尽管社会变迁会影响和改变人类的某些心理和行为,但有些心理行为,因其受深层文化影响,会十分稳定,不受社会变迁的影响。近30年的有关谦虚效应的跨文化研究为这一假设提供了佐证。谦虚是中国传统文化深层结构中的集体主义的产物,这种跨文化差异本质上来源于东西方文化中个人主义与集体主义的差异。总结谦虚效应的30年系列研究结果表明尽管中国的经济社会发生了前所未有的发展,这个跨文化效应基本不变,说明源于深层文化的心理和行为存在高度的稳定性。

Cell architecture designs towards high-energy-density microscale energy storage devices

The rapid growth of miniaturized electronics has led to an urgent demand for microscale energy storage devices(mESDs)to sustainably power the micro electronic ***,most mESDs reported to date have suffered from the limited energy densities and shape versatility compared to conventional large-scale counterparts because of the architectural constraints inherent in microfabrication-based cell manufacturing and cell dimension/*** review addresses the cell architecture design for mESDs that can achieve both miniaturization and high energy *** provide a comprehensive overview of five types of cell architectures of mESDs and their fabrication *** addition,to enable practical applications of mESDs,several cell design approaches are presented with the aim of minimizing the inactive parts of the cell and maximizing the performance metrics of ***,we discuss development direction and outlook of mESDs with a focus on materials chemistry,energy-dense electrochemical systems,and cell performance normalization,which will help to expand their applications and manufacturing scalability.

Water-Excluding Underwater Glue Induced by marangoni Effect

marangoni effect at the two-phase interface with different surface tension as a unique mass transfer phenomenon has been widely used in daily life and ***,their marvelous liquid-driving capability between miscible liquids has long been ignored,especially in water ***,we first reveal a distinct underwater marangoni effect between the solvent of glues and the water layer on solid *** by the marangoni effect,organic solvents with water solubility,high dielectric constant,and low diffusivity could effectively exclude the interfacial water layer,enabling direct and effective contact between glues and solid *** experimental results and theoretical simulation proved that a relatively large ratio of the marangoni number in the horizontal direction and to the vertical direction ensured an effective underwater adhesion of the water-excluding *** surface engineering approach provides an alternative to the traditional methods of molecular engineering for realizing underwater adhesion.
