As a functional metallurgical container for molten steel,refining ladle has a great influence on the smelting safety and quality of *** online monitoring of the residual thickness for ladle lining was applied to increase the smelting efficiency and *** is found that the ladle refractories show obvious discontinuous degradation characteristics through the monitoring ***,the degradation of low-carbon magnesia–carbon brick at slag line and corundum-based castable at steel bath was calculated according to the established corrosion model and crack propagation model,*** discontinuous degradation mechanism of the ladle refractories is illustrated,which is of great significance to the optimal configuration of the ladle lining refractories.

The Cauchy problem of the fifth-order nonlinear Schr?dinger (foNLS) equation is investigated with nonzero boundary conditions in detailed. Firstly, the spectral analysis of the scattering problem is carried out.A Riemann surface and affine parameters are introduced to transform the original spectral parameter to a new spectral parameter in order to avoid the multi-valued problem. Based on Lax pair of the foNLS equation, the Jost functions are obtained, and their analytical, asymptotic, symmetric properties, as well as the corresponding properties of the scattering matrix are established systematically. For the inverse scattering problem, we discuss the cases that the scattering coefficients have simple zeros and double zeros, respectively, and we further derive their corresponding exact solutions via solving a suitable Riemann-Hilbert problem. Moreover, some interesting phenomena are found when we choose some appropriate parameters for these exact solutions, which are helpful to study the propagation behavior of these solutions.

A major challenge in modern rice production is to achieve the dual goals of high yield and good quality with low environmental *** study was designed to determine whether optimized nitrogen(N)fertilization could fulfill these multiple *** two-year experiments,two high yielding‘super’rice cultivars were grown with different N fertilization management regimes,including zero N input,local farmers’practice(LFP)with heavy N inputs,and optimized N fertilization(ONF).In ONF,by reducing N input,increasing planting density,and optimizing the ratio of urea application at different stages,N use efficiency and the physicochemical and textural properties of milled rice were improved at higher yield *** with LFP,yield and partial factor productivity of applied N(PFP)under ONF were increased(on average)by 1.70 and 13.06%,*** increased starch and amylose content,and significantly decreased protein *** contents of the short chains of A chain(degree of polymerization(DP)6-12)and B1 chain(DP 13-25)of amylopectin were significantly increased under ONF,which resulted in a decrease in the stability of rice starch *** increased viscosity values and improved the thermodynamic properties of starch,which resulted in better eating and cooking quality of the ***,ONF could substantially compensate the negative effects caused by N fertilizer and achieve the multiple goals of higher grain quality and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE)at high yield *** results will be useful for applications of high quality rice production at high yield levels.

In the synthesis of HMS, Soxhlet extraction as a new method to remove neutral template was studied. HREM image, X-ray diffraction patterns and nitrogen adsorption-desorption results verified that this method can not only efficiently remove and recover the template, but also benefit the maintenance of the mesoporous framework structure.

Uranium hexafluoride(UF6)leakage accidents represent one of the most serious classes of accidents in the gasification process in nuclear fuel manufacturing *** UF6 leakage accidents include various fault conditions,such as pipeline and valve breakages or ruptures and pipeline *** establishing goal-oriented(GO)operators that can represent multi-fault states,this study estimates the probabilities of various fault states corresponding to UF6 leakage accidents in the gasification process using the GO methodology and analyzes the system *** article expands the scope of the GO methodology and provides technical support for reliability analysis using the GO methodology in multi-fault systems.

Hot roll bonding was carried out between commercially pure titanium TA2 and high-strength low-alloy steel Q390 using no interlayer and Fe interlayer at temperatures of 850,900,950 and 1000℃with a total reduction ratio of 86.7%.Interfacial microstructure and bonding property of clad plates were investigated by electron microscopy and shear *** results showed that with the increase in heating temperature,the shear strength of titanium clad steel plates decreases *** with that of titanium clad steel plates with no interlayer,inserting Fe interlayer between titanium and steel can improve the shear strength at 850 and 900℃but deteriorate the shear strength at 950 and 1000℃.The reason for this consequence was that Fe interlayer prevented the reaction diffusion of C in titanium to form a thinner TiC layer at 850 and 900℃,while Fe interlayer promoted the reaction diffusion of Fe in titanium to generate thicker Fe2Ti and FeTi intermetallic compound layers at 950 and 1000℃.

AIM To evaluate the safety and efficacy of sorafenib plus transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) treatment for intermediate hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS Sixty-seven patients with intermediate-stage [Barcelona Clinic liver cancer stage B(BCLC-B)] HCC who were treated with sorafenib plus TACE or TACE alone between 2009 and 2011 were included in the study. Follow-up was until 2014 or patient death. Two groups were defined in the experiment: The experimental group, treated with sorafenib plus TACE, and the control group, treated with standard TACE *** The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the median overall survival(m OS) of the experimental group was 35.2 mo, while that of the control group was 22.0 mo(P lerable adverse events. The Cox multivariate analysis showed that the survival of patients with BCLC-B HCC depended on the Child-Pugh classification, tumor diameter, and treatment with sorafenib plus TACE compared to TACE alone.

One concern about the use of transgenic plants is their potential risk to natural enemies. In this study, using the eggs of the rice brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens, as a food source, we investigated the effects of Cry1 Ab rice on the biological characteristics and functional response of an important predator Cyrtorhinus lividipennis. The results showed that the survival ability（adult emergence rate and egg hatching rate）, development（egg duration, nymphal developmental duration）, adult fresh weight, adult longevity and fecundity of C. lividipennis on Bt rice plants were not significantly different compared to those on non-Bt rice plants. furthermore, two important parameters of functional response（instantaneous search rate and handling time） were not significantly affected by Bt rice. In conclusion, the tested Cry1 Ab rice does not adversely impact the biological character and functional response of C. lividipennis.
