Epidemiological characteristics of seven notifable respiratory infectious diseases in the mainland of China:an analysis of national surveillance data from 2017 to 2021

Background Respiratory infectious diseases(RIDs)remain a pressing public health concern,posing a signifcant threat to the well-being and lives of *** study delves into the incidence of seven primary RIDs dur‑ing the period 2017-2021,aiming to gain deeper insights into their epidemiological characteristics for the purpose of enhancing control and prevention *** Data pertaining to seven notifable RIDs,namely,seasonal infuenza,pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB),mumps,scarlet fever,pertussis,rubella and measles,in the mainland of China between 2017 and 2021 were obtained from the National Notifable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).Joinpoint regression software was utilized to analyze temporal trends,while SaTScan software with a Poisson probability model was used to assess seasonal and spatial *** A total of 11,963,886 cases of the seven RIDs were reported during 2017-2021,and yielding a fve-year aver‑age incidence rate of 170.73 per 100,000 *** these RIDs,seasonal infuenza exhibited the highest aver‑age incidence rate(94.14 per 100,000),followed by PTB(55.52 per 100,000),mumps(15.16 per 100,000),scarlet fever(4.02 per 100,000),pertussis(1.10 per 100,000),rubella(0.59 per 100,000),and measles(0.21 per 100,000).Males experi‑enced higher incidence rates across all seven *** incidence was notably elevated among farmers and individu‑als aged over 65,whereas the other RIDs primarily afected children and students under 15 years of *** inci‑dences of PTB and measles exhibited a declining trend from 2017 to 2021(APC=−7.53%,P=0.009;APC=−40.87%,P=0.02),while the other fve RIDs peaked in *** seasonal and spatial distribution,the seven RIDs displayed distinct characteristics,with variations observed for the same RIDs across diferent *** proportion of laboratory-confrmed cases fuctuated among the seven RIDs from 2017 to 2021,with measles and rubella exhibit‑ing higher proportions and mumps and scarlet fever

Ru doping triggering reconstruction of cobalt phosphide for coupling glycerol electrooxidation with seawater electrolysis

Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-CoP2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-CoP2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-CoP2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.

Immobilization of antimony in soil and groundwater using ferro-magnesium bimetallic organic frameworks

Sb(Ⅲ) is often detected in contaminated soil and groundwater. Hence, high-efficiency technology is needed. In this study, bimetallic organic frameworks were used for the first time to immobilize Sb(Ⅲ) from contaminated soil and groundwater. The materials were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. Both ends of the prepared material were hexagonal tip rods,and the length became shorter as the ratio of Fe/Mg decreased. The bimetallic organic framework with a Fe/Mg feeding ratio of 0.5 was the optimum material for Sb(Ⅲ) removal, which could effectively immobilize Sb(Ⅲ). The adsorption isotherm was fitted well with the Freundlich model, and the optimal adsorption capacity can reach 106.97 mg/g. The adsorption capacity of 84% can be completed in 10 min, which conformed to the pseudo-second-order kinetics. The Fe^(3+)could enhance the stability of the material, and the Mg^(2+)was conducive to freeing up adsorption sites for binding Sb(Ⅲ) and forming stable chemical adsorption. Ion exchange is the predominant mechanism to remove Sb(Ⅲ). After 14 days of remediation of Sb(Ⅲ) contaminated soil, the Toxicity Characteristic leaching Procedure(TCLP)-leached concentrations of Sb(Ⅲ) were reduced by 86%, 91% and 94% when the material dosages were1%, 2% and 3%, respectively. Immobilization of Sb(Ⅲ) in soil resulted in a conversion of antimony speciation from more easily bioavailable species to less bioavailable species, further contributing to reduce the environmental risk of antimony. The results indicate that ferromagnesium bimetallic organic frameworks may serve as a kind of promising materials for the immobilization of Sb(Ⅲ) in contaminated soil and groundwater.
