Brucellosis is one of the most widespread zoonoses in the world caused by several species of the genus *** disease,eradicated in many developed countries,is a re-emerging neglected zoonosis endemic in several zones especially in the Mediterranean region,impacting on human health and livestock production.A One Health approach could address brucellosis control in Morocco but scarcity of reliable epidemiological data,as well as underreporting,hinders the implementation of sustainable control *** and control policies implemented by the Moroccan government in domestic animals(cattle and small ruminants)in the last few decades are assessed for disease *** study considers the origins of animal brucellosis in Morocco and the potential for emergence of brucellosis during a shift from extensive to intensive livestock production.

Is There a Relationship between COVID-19 Infection and the Occurrence of Anencephaly? Observation of the Maternity of Mohammed the VI University Hospital of Marrakech

Introduction: Morocco has experienced, like the whole world, the COVID-19 pandemic. Until the writing of this article, a subjective observation of the increase in the number of anencephaly has been observed in our facility. And since the teratogenic potential of the SARS Cov 2 virus is not sufficiently documented, we wondered if there would be a relationship between the relatively high number of anencephalic fetuses and COVID-19 infection. Aim: the objective of the study is to look for a possible correlation between the period of conception of these anencephalies and the pandemic. Material and methods: This is a retrospective study (from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2022 in the Obstetrics Gynecology department, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, CADI AYYAD UNIVERSITY Marrakech Morocco) consisting of the analysis of the number of patients in the target embryonic period (namely the closure of the neural tube: D18 to D30 of embryonic life) compared to the reference curves of the evolution of the SARS Cov2 pandemic. Results: The analysis of the number of patients at the target embryonic phase shows that many of our anencephalons (63%) were conceived during periods of high diffusion of the SARS Cov 2 virus in Morocco. Conclusion: Our study suggests a relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and the occurrence of anencephaly, we cannot, however, highlight the type of direct or indirect relationship that binds them. Therefore, further studies should be considered to better investigate this relationship.

Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor: State of the Art through Our Experience of 64 Cases and a Literature Review

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are rare. They are a subject of controversy. We have reported 64 cases of gastrointestinal stromal tumor diagnosed in the surgery department of CHU Hassan II of FES between January 2014 and December 2018. The study involved 64 patients (34 men and 30 women) with an average age of 56. The circumstances of findings were dominated by abdominal pain (48 cases), vomiting 16 case followed by transit disorder with 9 cases. The tumor locations were mainly the stomach (n = 31), the small intestine (n = 28), the duodenum (n = 3), and the colon (n = 2). Ultrasound, endoscopy and CT were the main additional tests to detect tumor syndrome. 55 patients were treated by complete surgical excision. Tumor size ranged from 4cm to 18cm. Histologically, the spindle cell type was predominant in 88.91% of cases;epithelioid type was present in 7.81% of cases, while the mixed type was found in 3.6%. The analysis of the expression of CD 117 marker was present in 95.31%, while immunostaining with this marker returned negative in 3 cases;i.e. 5% whose c-kit was positive. Imatinib was indicated in 44 patients (63.60%), with 9 indications for metastatic tumor. As a neoadjuvant, imatinib was indicated in 5 patients, with remission in 28 patients (50.9%), stabilization in 4 patients (7.2%), 2 cases of tumor recurrence and 7 cases of death.

Hepatic hydatid cyst is a rare parasitic affection which constitutes a major health problem in countries endemic to hydatidosis. Rupture of hydatid cyst into gallbladder is an exceptional complication first described in 1952 by Atlas and Kamenear. We report the case of a hepatic hydatid cyst rupture into gallbladder in a 31-year-old patient with no history of disease.

Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by the presence of ectopic pancreatic tissue surrounding the duodenum. This malformation is usually asymptomatic in adults, but can manifests as pancreatitis, duodenal stenosis, or duodenal or gastric ulceration. We report the case of a young patient of 18 years old hospitalized for epigastric pain and vomiting, in whom radiological investigations showed an annular pancreas. At operation, a complete obstruction of the duodenum between its first and second parts was found, caused by an annular pancreas. No other congenital anomaly of the intra abdominal organs was noted. A gastroenterostomy was performed. Both the rarity of this congenital abnormality and its successful correction by surgical means have prompted us to make the following presentation.

Hemobilia is the result of a pathological communication between bile duct and intra or extrahepatic vessel. 40% to 60% of the haemobilia cases are Iatrogenic, and the other causes are either vascular malformations or hepatic blunt trauma. We describe the case history of a patient in which laparoscopic cholecystectomy was complicated 3 months later by massive hemobilia. The cause of haemorrhage was a fistula between the principal bil duct and the right hepatic artery. This complication was successfully managed by surgery and angiographic embolization with full recovery of the patient.

Few cases of Liposarcoma of the spermatic cord have been reported in the literature. This rare tumor represents 7% of malignant tumors of the spermatic cord. We report a case of an unusual liposarcoma of the spermatic cord, with respect to its sclerosing variant, occurring in a healthy looking 42 years old man. A wide local excision of the tumor was performed. Adjuvant radiotherapy may sometimes be effective on local recurrence. Even though this tumor evolves slowly, a prolonged follow up is required because of the risk of late recurrence.

Choledochal cyst is defined as a cystic dilatation of the distal common bile duct protruding into the duo- denum. It is considered as the rarest congenital cyst of the biliary tract by 1.4%. We report a 46 years old woman who presented with recurrent jaundice associated with abdominal pain of 07 years duration. The liver function tests showed cholestasis. The abdominal scan and Biliary MRI revealed a dilatation of intrahepatic, pancreatic ducts and a dilatation of the common bile duct with a stenosis in its the lower part. The diagnosis of a common bile duct cholangiocarinoma was mentioned. The gastroscopy revealed a stenosed duodenal bulb not allowing us to perform an echo endoscopy and ERCP. An intraoperative cholangiography illustrating a cystic dilatation of the papillary region in which exist a separate protrusion of the choledochal and wirsung ducts. Therefore, we didn’t accomplish the cephalic duodeno-pancreatectomy and we decided to realize a partial resection of the papilla. The histolological examination proved the absence of any tumoral lesion and the presence of biliary mucosa layered the internal surface of the cyst. The patient is still asymptomatic after one year of the surgery.

In present era,usage of social media is very common. This study used interview questionnaire to explore employees’ behaviors and beliefs towards usage of social media and further its role and importance as an internal communication tool in Zhejiang Gongshang University,Hangzhou,China. Ten employees of university from different departments were interviewed about their views regarding different factors related to use of social media and further its role as an internal communication tool. It was found that the most frequently used social media were WeChat and QQ. ZJGSU University employees believed that social media were convenient,instant medium for communication (sharing pictures and videos) and they may enhance flow and effectiveness of internal communication in ZJGSU. The study found that although employees generally have a good perception about social media but there is need for improvement for either adopting a proper enterprise social media or proper utilization ofWeChat for effective internal communication. As the sample size in this study was small so it limits generalization and external validity of the findings,yet its focus on the different factors and benefits of using social media integrates to its originality with the thought that social media may help enhance the flow and effectiveness of internal communication in an organization.
