In this paper, we study a method for isolated handwritten or hand-printed character recognition using dynamic programming for matching the non-linear multi- projection profiles that are produced from the Radon transform. The idea is to use dynamic time warping （DTW） algorithm to match corresponding pairs of the Radon features for all possible projections. By using DTW, we can avoid compressing feature matrix into a single vector which may miss information. It can handle character images in different shapes and sizes that are usually happened in natural hand- writing in addition to difficulties such as multi-class similarities, deformations and possible defects. Besides, a comprehensive study is made by taking a major set of state-of- the-art shape descriptors over several character and numeral datasets from different scripts such as Roman, Devanagari, Oriya, Bangla and Japanese-Katakana including symbol. For all scripts, the method shows a generic behaviour by providing optimal recognition rates but, with high computational cost.

A growing number of citizen-patients and clinicians use Communication and Self-Managed Health Technologies (CSMHT) in their relationship. Doing so, they shift from the current paradigm of dependency to a co-responsibility paradigm in healthcare. Facing the runaway utilization of health services, we need to think “outside the box” to unblock the system. A Health 3.0 development model of governance that position patients as primary members of the clinicians’ team is presented to map this institutional transformation. At the practical level, an md 3.0 relational model and a Citizen-Patient 3.0 behavioral profile are presented.

背景我们开发出来一种比例-积分-微分控制器，可以在全麻诱导和维持期间实现在双频指数（bispeclral index，BIS）监测指导下对丙泊酚和雷米芬太尼的闭环联合输注。本研究比较了其与人工靶控输注的差异。方法这项多中心研究纳入了196例手术患者，随机分入双闭环或人工输注丙泊酚和雷米芬太尼组。通过计算总体分数对两组进行比较，该分数包括充分麻醉即BIS在40～60的时间比例、执行误差绝对中位数及摆动等整体性能。其他次要的观察指标包括爆发抑制比的发生率、气管插管所需时间以及用药量。结果双环控制组中83例患者和人工控制组中84例患者完成了试验。双环组的总体分数较好、充分麻醉的时1＇4较长（26±11vs43±40，P〈0．0001；82％±12％vs71％±19％，P〈0．0001）。超过目标值（BIS〈40）、未达目标值（BIS〉60）以及爆发抑制比的发生在双环组出现明显较少。双环组需要更频繁地对丙泊酚和雷米芬太尼的输注做出调整，但调节幅度较小；该组患者雷米芬太尼的使用量较大[（0.22±0．07）μg·kg^-1·min^-1 vs（0．16±0．07）μg·kg^-1·min^-1；P〈0．0001]，而气管插管的速度较快[（10±4）分钟vs（11±5）分钟；P=0．02]。结论全身麻醉期间，控制器可以帮助自动输注丙泊酚和雷米芬太尼，并将BIS值维持在预定范围内，这一点优于人工输注。

To control capillary bleeding, surgeons may use absorbable hemostatic agents, such as Surgicel® and TachoSil®. Due to their slow resorption, their persistence in situ can have a negative impact on tissue repair in the resected organ. To avoid complications and obtain a hemostatic agent that promotes tissue repair, a zinc-supplemented calcium alginate compress was developed: HEMO-IONIC®. This compress is non-absorbable and is therefore removed once hemostasis has been achieved. After demonstrating the hemostatic efficacy and stability of the blood clot obtained with HEMO-IONIC, the impact of Surgicel, TachoSil, and HEMO-IONIC on cell activation and tissue repair were compared (i) in vitro on endothelial cells, which are essential to tissue repair, and (ii) in vivo in a mouse skin excision model. In vitro, only HEMO-IONIC maintained the phenotypic and functional properties of endothelial cells and induced their migration. In comparison, Surgicel was found to be highly cytotoxic, and TachoSil inhibited endothelial cell migration. In vivo, only HEMO-IONIC increased angiogenesis, the recruitment of cells essential to tissue repair (macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells), and accelerated maturation of the extracellular matrix. These results demonstrate that a zinc-supplemented calcium alginate, HEMO-IONIC, applied for 10 min at the end of surgery and then removed has a long-term positive effect on all phases of tissue repair.

背景在重症创伤性颅脑损伤（TBI）患者运用巴比妥盐治疗中，通常将暴发．抑制模式的脑电图（EEG）作为监测指标。双频指数（BIS）是脑电图的衍生物，并且考虑到了皮层电静止。本研究测定一定范围内的BIS是否可以预测一个特殊的暴发．抑制模式。方法前瞻性收入11例应用巴比妥盐治疗的TBI患者。每天记录1小时EEG，每5分钟从原始EEG上计算1分钟的暴发数量及抑制率[抑制率（SREBG）：从EEG上得到的前60秒皮层电静止所占的百分率]，并与BIS-XPTM监测仪上伴行的数据对比[BIS和抑制商（SRBIS）]。巴比妥盐昏迷的最佳水平定义为脑电图上每分钟有2—5个暴发发生。根据所得数据求出最佳水平的BIS预测值范围，对每一例数据都测定其精确度。结果SREEG和SRBIS一致性很高[组间相关系数0．94（95％可信区间：0．90—0.96）]。SREEG和BIS之间有显著相关性。在某些受试者中观察到显著不一致性。BIS值在6～15范围之间时预测精确度最高。结论应用巴比妥盐治疗的重症创伤性颅脑损伤患者，BIS和SREEG有很高相关性。当BIS值〈6时巴比妥盐输注速率需要降低，而当BIS值〉15时，则需要升高。BIS和抑制图形的关系应该周期性地通过EEG模拟信号（BIS-XPTM所示）来校正。

In July 2023,the Center of Excellence in Respiratory Pathogens organized a two-day workshop on infectious diseases modelling and the lessons learnt from the Covid-19 *** report summarizes the rich discussions that occurred during the *** workshop participants discussed multisource data integration and highlighted the benefits of combining traditional surveillance with more novel data sources like mobility data,social media,and wastewater *** advancements were noted in the development of predictive models,with examples from various countries showcasing the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in detecting and monitoring disease *** role of open collaboration between various stakeholders in modelling was stressed,advocating for the continuation of such partnerships beyond the pandemic.A major gap identified was the absence of a common international framework for data sharing,which is crucial for global pandemic ***,the workshop underscored the need for robust,adaptable modelling frameworks and the integration of different data sources and collaboration across sectors,as key elements in enhancing future pandemic response and preparedness.
