Howe.e., little.is known about the.ge.e.ic basis of RSA and re.ource.adaptive.re.ponse. in whe.t(Triticum ae.tivum L.). He.e. a high-throughput ge.mination pape.-base. plant phe.otyping syste. was use. to ide.tify se.dling traits in a whe.t double. haploid mapping population, Savannah×Rialto. Significant ge.otypic and nitrate.N tre.tme.t variation was found across the.population for se.dling traits with distinct trait grouping for root size.re.ate. traits and root distribution-re.ate. traits. Quantitative.trait locus(QTL) analysis ide.tifie. a total of 59 se.dling trait QTLs. Across two nitrate.tre.tme.ts, 27 root QTLs we.e.spe.ific to the.nitrate.tre.tme.t.
