Correlation between the warning symptoms and prognosis of cardiac arrest

BACKGROUND A low survival rate in patients with cardiac arrest is associated with failure to recognize the condition in its initial ***,recognizing the warning symptoms of cardiac arrest in the early stage may play an important role in *** To investigate the warning symptoms of cardiac arrest and to determine the correlation between the symptoms and *** We included all adult patients with all-cause cardiac arrest who visited Peking University Third Hospital or Beijing Friendship Hospital between January 2012 and December *** on population,symptoms,resuscitation parameters,and outcomes were *** Of the 1021 patients in the study,65.9%had symptoms that presented before cardiac arrest,25.2%achieved restoration of spontaneous circulation(ROSC),and 7.2%survived to *** patients with symptoms had higher rates of an initial shockable rhythm(12.2%vs 7.5%,P=0.020),ROSC(29.1%vs 17.5%,P=0.001)and survival(9.2%vs 2.6%,P=0.001)than patients without *** with the out-of-hospital cardiac arrest(OHCA)without symptoms subgroup,the OHCA with symptoms subgroup had a higher rate of calls before arrest(81.6%vs 0.0%,P<0.001),health care provider-witnessed arrest(13.0%vs 1.4%,P=0.001)and bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation(15.5%vs 4.9%,P=0.002);a shorter no flow time(11.7%vs 2.8%,P=0.002);and a higher ROSC rate(23.8%vs 13.2%,P=0.011).Compared to the in-hospital cardiac arrest(IHCA)without symptoms subgroup,the IHCA with symptoms subgroup had a higher mean age(66.2±15.2 vs 62.5±16.3 years,P=0.005),ROSC(32.0%vs 20.6%,P=0.003),and survival rates(10.6%vs 2.5%,P<0.001).The top five warning symptoms were dyspnea(48.7%),chest pain(18.3%),unconsciousness(15.2%),paralysis(4.3%),and vomiting(4.0%).Chest pain(20.9%vs 12.7%,P=0.011),cardiac etiology(44.3%vs 1.5%,P<0.001)and survival(33.9%vs 16.7%,P=0.001)were more common in males,whereas dyspnea(54.9%vs 45.9%,P=0.029)and a non-cardiac etiology(53.3%vs 41.7%,P=0.003)were mor

Deep reinforcement learning using least-squares truncated temporal-difference

Policy evaluation(PE)is a critical sub-problem in reinforcement learning,which estimates the value function for a given policy and can be used for policy ***,there still exist some limitations in current PE methods,such as low sample efficiency and local convergence,especially on complex *** this study,a novel PE algorithm called Least-Squares Truncated Temporal-Difference learning(LST2D)is *** LST2D,an adaptive truncation mechanism is designed,which effectively takes advantage of the fast convergence property of Least-Squares Temporal Difference learning and the asymptotic convergence property of Temporal Difference learning(TD).Then,two feature pre-training methods are utilised to improve the approximation ability of ***,an Actor-Critic algorithm based on LST2D and pre-trained feature representations(ACLPF)is proposed,where LST2D is integrated into the critic network to improve learning-prediction *** simulation studies were conducted on four robotic tasks,and the corresponding results illustrate the effectiveness of *** proposed ACLPF algorithm outperformed DQN,ACER and PPO in terms of sample efficiency and stability,which demonstrated that LST2D can be applied to online learning control problems by incorporating it into the actor-critic architecture.

Copper oxide-modified highly reversible Zn powder anode for aqueous Zn metal batteries

With the advantages of mature preparation technology,structural adjustability and suitability for large-scale application,Zn powder anode is considered to be an ideal electrode for realizing low-cost,high-energy-density aqueous Zn metal ***,the high specific surface of Zn powders leads to severe side reactions such as hydrogen evolution and corrosion,thus limiting their widespread use Here,this work develops a novel CuO@Zn powder anode with a synergy effect of surface wrapping and *** powders are uniformly wrapped by small CuO particles due to the strong adsorption between Zn and *** wrapped CuO particles build a good conductive framework to inhibit the structural collapse of the Zn powder caused by corrosion and non-uniform ***,CuO can also be used as a seed to guide the uniform deposition of Zn ions through its strong binding energy with *** a result,the Cu O@Zn anode can maintain a long cyclic life of 900 h at current density of 1 mA·cm-2and capacity of 1 mAh·cm-2,as well as contribute to an excellent capacity retention of 92%after 800cycles for CuO@Zn||NH4V4O10full *** at high current density of 5 A·g-1,the full cell exhibits a specific capacity of more than 200 mAh·g-1after 800 cycles,with a good capacity retention of 89%.This work provides a new idea for developing high-performance Zn powder-based anodes.

Effect of yttrium and manganese addition on catalytic soot combustion activity and anti-high-temperature stability of CeO_(2) catalyst

In order to analyze the influence of the addition of yttrium and manganese on the soot combustion performance and high temperature stability of CeO_(2) catalyst,a series of Y/Mn-modified CeO_(2) catalysts were *** effects of structural properties,textural properties,oxygen vacancies,Ce^(3+),surface adsorbed oxygen species,reduction properties and desorption properties of oxygen species on the activity were analyzed by various characterization *** results of the activity test show that the addition of manganese is beneficial to enhancement of the activity,while the addition of yttrium increases the amount of reactive oxygen species,but decreases the *** aging at 700℃,the activity of the CeMn catalyst decreases most sharply,while the catalytic activity of the CeY catalyst can be maintained to a certain ***,the addition of yttrium and manganese at the same time can stabilize the *** fundamental reason is that yttrium and manganese move to the surface of the solid solution after aging,which increases the reduction performance of the catalyst,thus contributing to the increase of *** the activity of CeYMn catalyst decreases after aging at 800℃,it is still higher than that of other catalysts aged at 700℃.

Poly(3-hexylthio) thiophene Field-effect Transistor Device Performance: Impact of the Content of Hexylthio Side Chain on Backbone

Regioregular poly(3-hexylthio)thiopene(P3HTT) has emerged tremendous potential in organic electronic applications due to the strong noncovalent interactions from the sulfur atom linked to thiophene. However, P3HTT generally exhibits low charge mobility mostly due to poor solution processability attributed to dense arrangement of hexylthio side chain in polymer, which led to strong noncovalent interactions among sulfur atoms. To balance the nonvalent interaction and aggregation for P3HTT, herein, we systematically study the effect of hexylthio side chain content in polymer backbone on the structure and properties. A series of regioregular P3HTT-based homopolymers(P3HTT, P3HTT-50,P3HTT-33 and P3HTT-25) were prepared via Kumada catalyst transfer polycondensation method from a set of mono-, bi-, ter-and quarterthiophenes containing different contents of hexylthio side chain. The DFT calculation shows the planarity of polymers backbone could be improved through reducing the density of hexylthio side chain in polymer mainchain. And significant changes in their crystallinity, aggregation and optical properties were observed with the content of hexylthio side chain reducing. The P3HTT-33 displayed the highest field-effect transistor hole mobility of 2.83×10^(-2) cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1) resulting from a balance between the crystallinity and planarity. This study demonstrates modulating the content of hexylthio side chain in P3HTT is an effective strategy to optimize the opto-electronic properties of polymer obtaining excellent semiconductor device performance.

Evaluation of the binding affinity and antioxidant activity of phlorizin to pepsin and trypsin
