Factors influencing vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy and the psychological state of the patients

BACKGROUND Despite laparoscopic total hysterectomy provided more benefits to patients and has become one of the most commonly used surgical methods for total ***,vaginal cuff dehiscence is a serious complication after laparoscopic total hysterectomy and so far,there are limited studies on vaginal cuff dehiscence after a total *** To investigate the factors influencing vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy and the psychological state of the *** This study retrospectively,univariately,and multivariately analyzed the clinical data of patients who experienced vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy in Yuyao People’s Hospital from January 2015 to December *** regression was utilized to analyze the high-risk factors of vaginal cuff *** Among 1459 cases with laparoscopic hysterectomy,9 reported vaginal cuff dehiscence postoperatively,with an incidence of 0.617%.Univariate logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative hemoglobin value[odds ratio(OR)=5.12,P=0.016],vaginal cuff suture method(OR=0.26,P=0.048),and postoperative first sexual lifetime(OR=15.86,P=0.002)were associated with vaginal cuff dehiscence following laparoscopic *** logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative hemoglobin value of<90 g/L(OR=5.17,P=0.015)and time interval between postoperative first sexual life and operation of<3 months(OR=54.00,P=0.004)are independent risk factors for vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic *** Postoperative hemoglobin and the time interval between postoperative first sexual life and operation were the independent factors of developing vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy.

The reactions of 2-methylbenzimidazole or 2-methylbenzimidazolium iodide with aromatic aldehydes are accelerated under microwave irradiation by using Ac2O or piperidine as dehydrant or catalyst in the absence of any solvent. The approach provides an attractive and environmentally friendly pathway to several useful styryl dyes with benzimidazole nucleus.

Objective Poly（rC）-binding protein 1 （PCBP1） belongs to the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein family and participates in transcriptional and translational regulation. Previous work has identified transcripts targeted by both knockdown and overexpression of PCBP1 in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells using a microarray or ProteomeLabTM protein fractionation 2-dimensions （PF-2D） and quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The present study aimed to further determine whether these altered transcripts from major pathways （such as Wnt signaling, TGF-β signaling, cell cycling, and apoptosis） and two other genes, H2AFX and H2BFS （screened by PF-2D）, have spatial relationships. Methods The genes were studied by qRT-PCR, and dynamic Bayesian network analysis was used to rebuild the coordination network of these transcripts. Results PCBP1 controlled the expression or activity of the seven transcripts. Moreover, PCBP1 indirectly regulated MAP2K2, FOS, FST, TP53 and WNT7B through H2AFX or regulated these genes through SAT. In contrast, TP53 and WNT7B are regulated by other genes. Conclusion The seven transcripts and PCBP1 are closely associated in a spatial interaction network.

Adsorption of typical NDMA precursors by superfine powdered activated carbon:Critical role of particle size reduction

Control of N-nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA)in drinking water could be achieved by removing its precursors as one practical ***,superfine powdered activated carbons with a diameter of about 1μm(SPACs)were successfully prepared by grinding powdered activated carbon(PAC,D50=24.3μm)and applied to remove model NDMA precursors,***(RAN)and nizatidine(NIZ).Results fromgrain diameter experiments demonstrated that the absorption velocity increased dramatically with decreasing particle size,and the maximum increase in k2 was 26.8-folds for RAN and 33.4-folds for ***,kinetic experiments explained that rapid absorption could be attributed to the acceleration of intraparticle diffusion due to the shortening of the diffusion ***,performance comparison experiments suggested that the removal of RAN and NIZ(C_(0)=0.5 mg/L)could reach 61.3%and 60%,respectively,within 5 min,when the dosage of SAPC-1.1(D_(50)=1.1μm)was merely 5 mg/L,while PAC-24.3 could only eliminate 17.5%and 18.6%.The adsorption isotherm was well defined by langmuir isotherm model,indicating that the adsorption of RAN/NIZ was a monolayer coverage *** adsorption of RAN or NIZ by SAPC-1.1 and PAC-24.3 was strongly pH dependent,and high adsorption capacity could be observed under the condition of pH>pk_(a)+*** coexistence of humic acid(HA)had no significant effect on the adsorption performance because RAN/NIZ may be coupled with HA and removed *** coexistence of anions had little effect on the adsorption *** study is expected to provide an alternative strategy for drinking water safety triggered by NDMA.

Rapid detection of colored and colorless macroand micro-plastics in complex environment via near-infrared spectroscopy and machine learning

To better understand the migration behavior of plastic fragments in the environment,development of rapid non-destructive methods for in-situ identification and characterization of plastic fragments is ***,most of the studies had focused only on colored plastic fragments,ignoring colorless plastic fragments and the effects of different environmental media(backgrounds),thus underestimating their *** address this issue,the present study used near-infrared spectroscopy to compare the identification of colored and colorless plastic fragments based on partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PLS-DA),extreme gradient boost,support vector machine and random forest *** effects of polymer color,type,thickness,and background on the plastic fragments classification were ***-DA presented the best and most stable outcome,with higher robustness and lower misclassification *** models frequently misinterpreted colorless plastic fragments and its background when the fragment thickness was less than 0.1mm.A two-stage modeling method,which first distinguishes the plastic types and then identifies colorless plastic fragments that had been misclassified as background,was *** method presented an accuracy higher than 99%in different *** summary,this study developed a novel method for rapid and synchronous identification of colored and colorless plastic fragments under complex environmental backgrounds.

Modeling the modulation of beta oscillations in the basal ganglia by dual-target optogenetic stimulation

Optogenetic techniques provide precise control over the activity of specific neurons within the nucleus,offering more accurate regulatory effects compared to deep brain *** heterogeneity of the globus pallidus externa(GPe)has garnered wide attention,wherein significant differences in pathological changes emphasize its potential as a stimulation target with distinct mechanisms.A basal ganglia-thalamus(BG-Th)network model incorporating heterogeneous GPe is developed to explore potential optogenetic stimulation targets for treating Parkinson's disease(PD).Initially,the modulation mechanisms of single-target optogenetic stimulation on the abnormal rhythmic oscillations of BG nuclei are *** of D1 medium spine neuron(MSN),calcium-binding protein parvalbumin(PV)GPe,and inhibition of globus pallidus interna(GPi)can effectively suppress synchronous bursting activity in GPi,while excitation of GPi promotes high-frequency discharge to disrupt beta ***,dual-target optogenetic stimulation strategies are devised to reduce energy *** show that targets with similar mechanisms exhibit additive effects,whereas targets with opposing mechanisms lead to *** underlying effective mechanisms of dual-target strategies are:enhancing the inhibitory input to GPi thus inhibiting the activity of GPi,or disrupting beta oscillations by restoring high-frequency discharges in *** strategy composed of exciting D1 MSN and inhibiting GPi requires the minimum total light intensity among single-target and dual-target strategies in our ***,simultaneously enhancing PV GPe and inhibiting D2 MSN achieves the greatest reduction in total energy consumption(40.8%reduction),compared to only enhancing PV *** findings unveil effective circuit mechanisms of optogenetic stimulation and provide novel insights for designing precise regulatory strategies for PD.
