The major vascular complications associated with diabetes make the management of diabetic mellitus erectile dysfunction(DMED)a challenging *** factors contributing to DMED include oxidative stress,nitric oxide(NO)/cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP)pathway activation,and apoptosis,while nitro-oleic acid(NO,-OA)has been shown to be beneficial in treating these aspects of this ***,herein,investigated the effects and possible mechanisms of NO,-OA on erectile function as assessed in a streptozotocin-induced rat model of *** results revealed that the erectile function of DMED rats was significantly impaired compared with that of the control ***,in response to 4 weeks of NO,-OA treatment,there was an improvement in erectile *** expression of oxidative stress-related indicators was significantly increased and the NO/cGMP pathway was impaired in the DMED *** expression of proapoptotic factors was increased,while that of antiapoptotic factors was decreased in the DMED ***,the cell morphology in the cavernous tissue of the DMED group also changed ***,-OA treatment significantly reversed all these changes observed in the DMED *** conclusion,NO,-OA treatment partially improved erectile function in DMED rats through mechanisms that included inhibition of oxidative stress,activation of the NO/cGMP pathway,and a reduction in apoptosis.

Ni-rich layered oxide cathodes have shown promise for high-energy lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)but are usually limited to mild environments because of their rapid performance degradation under extreme temperature conditions(below0°C and above 50 °C).Here,we report the design of F/Mo co-doped LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(FMNCM)cathode for high-performance LIBs from-20 to 60°C.F^(-) doping with high electronegativity into the cathode surface is found to enhance the stability of surface lattice structure and protect the interface from side reactions with the electrolyte by generating a LiF-rich surface ***,the Mo^(6+) doping suppresses phase transition,which blocks Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) mixing,and stabilizes lithium-ion diffusion ***,the FMNCM cathode demonstrates excellent cycling stability at a high cutoff voltage of 4.4 V,even at 60°C,maintaining 90.6%capacity retention at 3 C after 150 ***,at temperatures as low as-20°C,it retains 77.1%of its room temperature capacity,achieving an impressive 97.5%capacity retention after 500 *** stable operation under wide temperatures has been further validated in practical Ah-level *** study sheds light on both fundamental mechanisms and practical implications for the design of advanced cathode materials for wide-temperature LIBs,presenting a promising path towards high-energy and long-cycling LIBs with temperatureadaptability.

The development of renewable and affordable energy is crucial for building a sustainable society. In this context, establishing a sustainable infrastructure for renewable energy requires the integration of energy storage, specifically use of renewable hydrogen. The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) of electrochemical water splitting is a promising method for producing green hydrogen. Recently, two-dimensional nanomaterials have shown great promise in promoting the HER in terms of both fundamental research and practical applications due to their high specific surface areas and tunable electronic properties. Among them, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), a non-noble metal catalyst, has emerged as a promising alternative to replace expensive platinum-based catalysts for the HER because MoS_(2)has a high inherent activity, low cost, and abundant reserves. At present, greatly improved activity and stability are urgently needed for MoS_(2)to enable wide deployment of water electrolysis devices. In this regard, efficient strategies for precisely modifying MoS_(2)are of interest. Herein, the progress made with MoS_(2)as an HER catalyst is reviewed, with a focus on modification strategies, including phase engineering, morphology design, defect engineering, heteroatom doping, and heterostructure construction. It is believed that these strategies will be helpful in designing and developing high-performance and low-cost MoS2-based catalysts by lowering the charge transfer barrier, increasing the active site density, and optimizing the surface hydrophilicity. In addition, the challenges of MoS_(2)electrocatalysts and perspectives for future research and development of these catalysts are discussed.

Polyoxometalates(POMs)are classified as solid superacids which can exhibit notable proton conductivity,making them a promising functional inorganic filler for enhancing the proton conductivity of proton exchange membranes(PEMs).In this study,a series of hybrid membranes were obtained by molecular-level hybridization of Weakley-type POM Na_(7)H_(2)LaW_(10)O_(36)(LaW_(10))clusters into sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone sulfone)(SPAEKS).All hybrid membranes exhibited greater proton conductivity than the pristine membrane in the 30–80℃temperature *** the doping amount of LaW 10 reached 7 wt.%,the proton conductivity of M-LaW 10^(-7)achieved 64 mS·cm^(−1)at 80℃.lanthanide ions'high coordination number property and variable coordination environment can aid to attract more water molecules from the *** 10 and these bound water can construct denser hydrogen bonds with–SO_(3)H of *** intensive hydrogen bonds will facilitate the constitution of more continuous proton transport channels,and improve the proton conductivity of the hybrid *** work off ers a fresh approach to using POMs containing rare-earth components in PEMs.

It is essential to determine the occurrence of emerging organic contaminants(EOCs),such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs),in the ambient environment to address growing public ***,such analysis is quite challenging due to the low trace level of such contaminants in water,which therefore requires several litres of water *** this study,a large volume solid phase extraction(LV-SPE)device was developed and evaluated for its performance in monitoring PPCPs as an *** good recoveries and reproducibility were obtained under specific operating conditions:a water sample volume of no more than 20 L,a flow rate not exceeding 120 mL/min,and a methanol elution volume of at least 30 *** addition,the results from the onsite enrichment approach using LV-SPE were compared with those from the conventional approach using a standard SPE device in the laboratory for real groundwater *** the eight selected PPCPs(nalidixic acid,carbamazepine,bezafibrate,clofibric acid,sulfadiazine,sulfamethoxypyridazine,sulfamethazine and sulfamonomethoxine),LV-SPE approach detected more target *** the detected concentrations were generally comparable,slightly higher concentrations were observed for carbamazepine,clofibric acid,sulfadiazine and sulfamethazine using the LV-SPE *** developed LV-SPE device provides an alternative approach for trace analysis of PPCPs and may also be applicable for other emerging organic contaminants.
