The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a "whole genome shotgun" approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in china and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. The coverage of the draft sequence, the randomness of the sequence distribution, and the consistency of BIG-ASSEM-BLER, a custom-designed software package

突变热点区域是基因突变相对集中的区域 ,在生物的遗传和变异中有特殊的地位 .针对特殊条件下发生突变形成的突变热点区域进行了相关研究 .而人类基因组序列的测定和人类基因框架图的绘制 ,为在全基因组范围内进行突变热点研究提供了条件 .分析了人类基因组中 2 831个基因突变热点区域上简并度的性质 ,对突变热点区集中在高简并度区或者低简并度区的基因生物学功能进行了分析和分类 .研究的焦点集中在某类功能的基因简并度特性一致的情况上 .对搜集到的基因简并度特性利用聚类计算进行分析 ,找到了一些特殊的功能类 ,属于其中某类功能的基因能够通过聚类分析聚合到一起 ,从而说明简并度特性也是相近的。

Recent experimental results from beijing Spectroscopy (BES) are reviewed, including the hadron spectroscopy from J/ψ decays, and a number of new states are found or confirmed, including σ, κ, X(1835), ωφ threshold enhancement in J/ψ→γωφ, a broad resonance in J/ψ→K + K ? π 0, decay studies of ψ(2S) and χ CJ , as well as the results of ψ(3770) non-D $ \bar D $ decays. The current status of BEPCII/BESIII, the major upgrade of BEPC/BESII, is also reported.

Selection,distribution and way of development of leading industries in the beijing-Kowloon economic belt

In this paper, the development issue of leading industries of beijing Kowloon Economic Belt is discussed. According to the regional base and the development conditions, the development strategy of beijing Kowloon Economic Belt should concentrate on developing the following leading industries: Machine building and electronics, textile and its deep processing industry, food processing, chemical industry, and power industry. Meantime, the industrial centers such as Nanchang, Jiujiang, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Ji'an, Fuyang, Shangqiu, and so on should be constructed particularly.

Interannual variation of annual precipitation and urban effect on precipitation in the beijing region

The large scale character of the interannual variation of precipitation and the urban effect on local annual precipitation anomaly are investigated in this paper based on the 1960-2000 annual precipitation observations at 20 stations in the beijing *** results show that:the annual precipitation in the beijing region possesses the large scale variation character with the linear trend of-1.197/10 yr,which corresponds to a total reduction of 27.82 mm in annual precipitation in the 41 years;the local annual precipitation anomalies(percent of the normal 1960-2000)show a positive center near the urban area,*** precipitation island(UPI),whose intensity increases with the linear trend of 0.6621%/10 yr,opposite to the interannual trend of large scale precipitation over the beijing region;changes in the UPI are also associated with the intensity of synoptic processes of precipitation,and when the synoptic processes are strong(wet years),the intensity of UPI strengthens,while the synoptic processes are weak(dry years),and the UPI disappears in the beijing region.

Simulating the transfer and fate of hexachlorocyclohexane in recent 50 years in beijing, china

Taking beijing as a study area, a dynamic fugacity model was used to simulate the transfer and fate of technical HCHs according to the physic-chemical properties of the studying environment and HCH isomers. Dynamic changes of the transfer fluxes and concentrations of HCH isomers during 1952―2003 were simulated and the model results suggest good agreement between the calculated and measured concentrations of HCH isomers. During 1952―1983, the average input and output amount of HCHs through agricultural application and degradation are 130 t and 150 t respectively. The dominant transfer processes of HCHs in the study area are air-soil deposition, soil erosion and soil-air diffusion, transfer fluxes of these processes are 80 t?a?1, 16 t?a?1 and 11 t?a?1, which account for 92% of total transfer fluxes of HCHs isomers. There were approximately 253t HCHs in all environmental compartments of the study area during this period and 97% of which existed in soil compartment. Air and water advection became the dominant input sources of HCHs after 1984 when the application of technical HCHs was prohib-ited, concentration of HCHs quickly descended to a quite low level in several years. Total amount of HCHs isomers remaining in the study area environment now is less than 5% that before 1983, and this percentage may descend to 0.5% after 20 years by prediction.

Previous studies have revealed that statistical methods can be used to analyze land-leasing parcel ***,the conventional statistical methods used in land analysis have some limitations,especially in cases of limited observational *** this paper,with the help of geographic information system(GIS) techniques,a partial least squares(PLS) path model is applied to study the relationship between residential land prices and various determinants through a case study of beijing in *** a preliminary analysis,four latent variables are selected:accessibility of the workplace center,livability,traffic,and environment *** results show that the observation variables have a strong explanatory power for their corresponding latent variables,and the four latent variables have varying impacts on residential land *** the latent variables,accessibility to the workplace center has the strongest impact on the residential land price.
