BACKGROUND The intricate relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and diabetic nephropathy(DN)presents a challenge in understanding the significance of various biomarkers in *** To elucidate the roles and diagnostic values ofα2-macroglobulin(α2-MG),podocalyxin(PCX),α-L-fucosidase(AFU),retinol-binding protein-4(RBP-4),and cystatin C(CysC)in *** From December 2018 to December 2020,203 T2DM patients were enrolled in the *** these,115 were diagnosed with DN(115 patients),while the remaining 88 patients were classified as *** urinary levels ofα2-MG,PCX,and AFU and the serum concentrations RBP-4 and CysC were measured in conjunction with other relevant clinical indicators to evaluate their potential correlations and diagnostic *** After adjustments for age and gender,significant positive correlations were observed between the biomarkers CysC,RBP-4,α2-MG/urinary creatinine(UCr),PCX/UCr,and AFU/UCr,and clinical indicators such as urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio(UACR),serum creatinine,urea,24-h total urine protein,and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR).Conversely,these biomarkers exhibited negative correlations with the estimated glomerular filtration rate(Pharacteristic(ROC)curve analysis further demonstrated the diagnostic performance of these biomarkers,with UACR showcasing the highest area under the ROC curve(AUC^(ROC))at *** This study underscores the diagnostic significance ofα2-MG,PCX,and AFU in the development of *** biomarkers RBP-4,CysC,PCX,AFU,andα2-MG provide promising diagnostic insights,while UACR is the most potent diagnostic biomarker in assessing DN.

The Antarctic Paleogene marine fossil record has been the key to reconstructing the evolution of the Weddellian Sea and final dismemberment of Southern *** this context,Eocene marine vertebrates from Seymour(Marambio)Island have provided valuable *** present the first Eocene record of marine reptiles from the southern Atlantic Coast of South *** corresponds to several postcranial turtle remains represented by a proximal end of the right humerus,three caudal and one thoracic vertebrae,a fragment of the left pubis,and ten ossicles of the dorsal carapace,coming from the Leticia Formation(late-mid Eocene)at Cabo Tiburones,Tierra del Fuego,*** materials show severalfeatures such as the size and general morphology of the humerus and vertebrae,and the presence of relatively small,irregular,smooth,and unkeeled ossicles,which allow us to assign them to Dermochelyidae *** are a cosmopolitan group ofcryptodiran turtles,registered from the late Cretaceous up to the recent,with some physiological-biological peculiarities(e.g.,endothermy and an exclusive jellyfish-based diet)and characterized by the presence of an osseous carapace formed by *** new finding from the Leticia Formation is an addition to the scarce and extremely fragmentary record of Eocene dermochelyids from the southern seas like those from the la Meseta and Submeseta formations(Antarctica)and the Waihao and Burnside formations(New Zealand).This new information allows us to discuss the presence of these turtles in such high latitudes in the past and its implication in the evolution of the Weddellian fauna.

Solid-state lithium metal batteries are one of the most promising options for next-generation batteries pursuing high-energy density and ***,the inevitable volatilization of lithium compounds during sintering leads to low relative density and low ionic conductivity of solid-state ***,the dynamic lithium-compensation mechanism is proposed to facilitate the densification of Ta-substituted garnet-type electrolyte(Li_(6.5)la_(3)Zr_(1.5)Ta_(0.5)O_(12)(LLZT))through the reversible manipulating of Li_(2)O ***_(2)ZrO_(3)is used as mother powder additive,which reacts with Li_(2)O in sintering atmosphere and forms Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Li_(2)ZrO_(3)/Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7)buffer pair manipulates the sintering Li_(2)O atmosphere,which is vital for LLZT,within the Li_(2)O partial pressure range corresponding to Li_(2)ZrO_(3)and Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Furthermore,the reversibility mechanism of buffer pair for Li_(2)O absorption and release is *** obtained LLZT exhibits a relative density of over 96%and an ionic conductivity exceeding 7×10^(−4)S·cm^(−1)with no abnormal grain *** symmetric cell demonstrates an excellent lithium dendrite suppressing ability(stable cycling at a current density of 0.3 mA·cm^(−2)for over 1000 h).Such dynamic lithium-compensation strategy has been successfully applied in atmosphere manipulation of LLZT sintering process,which reduces the dependence of LLZT on the Li_(2)O atmosphere,making it conducive to large-scale preparation of electrolyte ceramics.

The function of solid electrolytes and the composition of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)are highly significant for inhibiting the growth of Li ***,we report an in-situ interfacial passivation combined with self-adaptability strategy to reinforce Li_(0.33)la_(0.557)TiO_(3)(LLTO)-based solid-state ***,a functional SEI enriched with LiF/Li_(3)PO_(4) is formed by in-situ electrochemical conversion,which is greatly beneficial to improving interface compatibility and enhancing ion *** the polarized dielectric BaTiO_(3)-polyamic acid(BTO-PAA,BP)film greatly improves the Li-ion transport kinetics and homogenizes the Li *** expected,the resulting electrolyte offers considerable ionic conductivity at room temperature(4.3 x 10~(-4)S cm^(-1))and appreciable electrochemical decomposition voltage(5.23 V)after electrochemical *** Li-LiFePO_(4) batteries,it shows a high specific capacity of 153 mA h g^(-1)at 0.2C after 100 cycles and a long-term durability of 115 mA h g^(-1)at 1.0 C after 800 ***,a stable Li plating/stripping can be achieved for more than 900 h at 0.5 mA cm^(-2).The stabilization mechanisms are elucidated by ex-situ XRD,ex-situ XPS,and ex-situ FTIR techniques,and the corresponding results reveal that the interfacial passivation combined with polarization effect is an effective strategy for improving the electrochemical *** present study provides a deeper insight into the dynamic adjustment of electrode-electrolyte interfacial for solid-state lithium batteries.

L-glutamic acid(la)is a bio-based,non-toxic,environmentally friendly material derived from *** present study reports the application of Passerini three-component polymerization(P-3CP)for the straightforward preparation of la-based light-responsive polyesters(PLTDs)under mild *** with molar masses up to 8500 g/mol and high yields exceeding 90%are *** chemical structures and light-responsive self-immolative behavior of PLTDs are comprehensively characterized by employing ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)spectroscopy,size exclusion chromatography(SEC),nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopy,and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry(LC-MS).Meanwhile,monodisperse PLTD-based doxorubicin-loaded nanoparticles(PLTD-DOX-NP)(size=193 nm,PDI=0.018)are formulated by nanoprecipitation *** light-induced depolymerization,the PLTD-DOX-NP undergoes rapid decomposition,resulting in a burst release of 80%cargo within 13 ***,according to biological toxicity tests,the PLTD-NP possesses adequate biosafety,both before and after ***,the incorporation of P-3CP with biorenewable la-based monomer adheres to the principles of green chemistry,significantly simplifying the synthetic pathway of light-responsive polymers.

salicylic acid(sa),a vital endogenous hormone,plays a crucial role in plant growth and the response to abiotic and biotic *** synthase(ICS)and phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL)are critical rate-limiting enzymes for sa *** head blight(FHB)seriously threatens the safety of wheat production,but increasing the content of sa can enhance FHB ***,the pathway of sa synthesis and regulation in wheat remains *** this study,three wheat ICS(TaICsa,TaICSB,and TaICSD)were identified,and their functions were validated in vitro for isomerizing chorismate to *** mutation of one or two homoeoalleles of TaICsa,TaICSB,and TaICSD in the wheat variety‘Cadenza’reduced sa levels under ultraviolet treatment and Fusarium graminearum infection,further enhancing sensitivity to *** of TaICsa can significantly enhance sa levels and resistance to *** further study sa synthesis pathways in wheat and avoid interference with pathogenicity related genes,the leaves of wild-type Cadenza and different TaICS mutant lines were subjected to ultraviolet treatment for transcriptomic *** results showed that 37 PALs might be involved in endogenous sa synthesis,and 82 WRKY and MYB family transcription factors may regulate the expression of ICS and *** results were further confirmed by *** conclusion,this study expands our knowledge of sa biosynthesis and identifies TaICsa,as well as several additional candidate genes that encode transcription factors for regulating endogenous sa levels,as part of an efficient strategy for enhancing FHB resistance in wheat.

Integrated multi-omics analysis reveals liver metabolic reprogramming by fish iridovirus and antiviral function of alpha-linolenic acid

Iridovirus poses a substantial threat to global aquaculture due to its high mortality rate;however,the molecular mechanisms underpinning its pathogenesis are not well ***,a multi-omics approach was applied to groupers infected with Singapore grouper iridovirus(SGIV),focusing on the roles of key *** showed that SGIV induced obvious histopathological damage and changes in metabolic enzymes within the ***,SGIV significantly reduced the contents of lipid droplets,triglycerides,cholesterol,and *** analysis indicated that the altered metabolites were enriched in 19 pathways,with a notable down-regulation of lipid metabolites such as glycerophosphates and alpha-linolenic acid(Ala),consistent with disturbed lipid homeostasis in the *** of transcriptomic and metabolomic data revealed that the top enriched pathways were related to cell growth and death and nucleotide,carbohydrate,amino acid,and lipid metabolism,supporting the conclusion that SGIV infection induced liver metabolic *** integrative transcriptomic and proteomic analysis indicated that SGIV infection activated crucial molecular events in a phagosome-immune depression-metabolism dysregulation-necrosis signaling *** note,integrative multi-omics analysis demonstrated the consumption of Ala and linoleic acid(la)metabolites,and the accumulation of L-glutamic acid(GA),accompanied by alterations in immune,inflammation,and cell death-related *** experimental data showed that Ala,but not GA,suppressed SGIV replication by activating antioxidant and anti-inflammatory responses in the ***,these findings provide a comprehensive resource for understanding host response dynamics during fish iridovirus infection and highlight the antiviral potential of Ala in the prevention and treatment of iridoviral diseases.

The Luojiashan gabbro is a newly discovered mafic pluton emplaced in the Neoproterozoic Yingyangguan Formation in Yingyangguan region of northeastern Guangxi,South *** whole-rock geochemical and zircon geochronological and Hf isotopic analyses are performed on the gabbro and comparisons are made with the coeval mafic-ultramafic sills and dikes located in Longsheng region of northern Guangxi in order to understand the magmatic origin,evolution,and tectonic setting of the Luojiashan gabbro and to address the location of the suture zone of the Southwestern Jiangnan Orogen(SJO).la-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages obtained from the Luojiashan gabbro show that it was emplaced at~770 *** gabbro contains abundant inherited zircons aged at 0.9-1.3 Ga,consistent with age spectrum of the Cathaysia ***-normalized REE pattern,primitive mantle-normalized trace element spider diagram,incompatible element ratios of Nb/Ta,Zr/Hf,la/Nb,Ba/Th,Th/la,and Ba/la,and Th/Yb-Ta/Yb discrimination diagram of the gabbro are indicative of OIB-like geochemical characteristics and of derivation from partially melted garnet peridotite of the asthenospheric *** discrimination based on the trace and rare earth elements also indicate that the Luojiashan gabbro was emplaced in a within-plate extensional rift setting,probably as a result of Rodinia supercontinent dismantling,lithospheric thinning,and underplating and upwelling of the asthenospheric *** on zircon age,Hf isotopic data and comparison between northern and northeastern Guangxi,it is suggested that the Yingyangguan region was tectonically situated in a different tectonic locale from the Longsheng region of northern Guangxi at about 770 Ma during the post-orogenic mafic-ultramafic magmatic event,with the former within the Cathaysia Block and the latter along the southeast margin of yangtze *** suture between the yangtze and Cathaysia blocks must be located between Yingyangguan of northeastern Gua

Garnet-type solid-state batteries(SSBs)are considered to be one of the most promising candidates to realize next-generation lithium metal batteries with high energy density and ***,the dendrite-induced short-circuit and the poor interfacial contact impeded the practical ***,interface engineering to achieve low interfacial resistance without high temperature calcination was developed,which Li_(6.4)la_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZTO)was simply coated with complex hydride(Li_(4)(BH_(4))_(3)I(3L1L))in various mass ratios n(Li_(4)(BH_(4))_(3)I)-(100−n)LLZTO(10≤n≤40).The interfacial conductivity increases by more than three orders of magnitude from 8.29×10^(−6)S·cm^(−1)to 1.10×10^(−2)S·cm^(−1).Symmetric Li cells exhibit a high critical current density(CCD)of 4.0 mA·cm^(−2) and an excellent cycling stability for 200 h at 4.0 mA·cm^(−2).SSBs with polymeric sulfur-polyacrylonitrile(SPAN)cathode achieve a high discharge capacity of 1149 mAh·g^(−1) with a capacity retention of 91%after 100 cycles(0.2 C).This attempt guides a simple yet efficient strategy for obtaining a stable Li/LLZTO interface,which would promote the development of solid-state batteries.
