Actinidia chinensis polysaccharide interferes with the epithelial-mesenchymal transition of gastric cancer by regulating the nuclear transcription factor-κB pathway to inhibit invasion and metastasis

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanisms of the effect of Actinidia chinensis polysaccharide(ACPS) on the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer ***: BGC-823-Luc gastric cancer cells stably transfected with a luciferase gene were used to establish an insitutransplanted tumor mouse model. A live mouse imaging system was used to observe tumor growth, and hematoxylin and eosin staining was applied to analyze tissue histopathology. Transwell and scratch wound assays were performed to examine the invasive and migratory ability of BGC-823 cells. Immunofluorescence,confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot assays were used to analyze the expressions of the nuclear transcription factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling pathway and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related ***: ACPS significantly inhibited the growth of subcutaneously transplanted BGC-823-Luc gastric cancer tumors in nude mice and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration in tumor tissues. ACPS inhibited Epidermal Growth Factor-induced invasion, migration, and morphological changes in the cytoskeleton of BGC-823cells. ACPS inhibited gastric cancer EMT and decreased the expression of matrix metallopeptidase 9, N-cadherin and p-NF-κB p65 in transplanted tumor tissues. ACPS inhibited the expression of matrix metalloproteinases and vascular adhesion factors in BGC-823 cells, promoted p65-NF-κB nuclear translocation, and regulated proteins associated with the NF-κB p65 ***: ACPS inhibited gastric cancer invasion and metastasis both in vivo and in vitro, which evidenced the inhibition of gastric cancer EMT via regulating the NF-κB inflammatory pathway.

A novel approach based on a modified mask R-CNN for the weight prediction of live pigs

Since determining the weight of pigs during large-scale breeding and production is challenging,using non-contact estimation methods is *** study proposed a novel pig weight prediction method based on a mod-ified mask region-convolutional neural network(mask R-CNN).The modified approach used ResNeSt as the backbone feature extraction network to enhance the image feature extraction *** feature pyramid net-work(FPN)was added to the backbone feature extraction network for multi-scale feature *** channel at-tention mechanism(CAM)and spatial attention mechanism(SAM)were introduced in the region proposal network(RPN)for the adaptive integration of local features and their global dependencies to capture global in-formation,ultimately improving image segmentation *** modified network obtained a precision rate(P),recall rate(R),and mean average precision(MAP)of 90.33%,89.85%,and 95.21%,respectively,effectively segmenting the pig regions in the *** image features,namely the back area,body length,body width,average depth,and eccentricity,were *** pig depth images were used to build five regression algo-rithms(ordinary least squares(OLS),AdaBoost,CatBoost,XGBoost,and random forest(RF))for weight value *** achieved the best prediction result with a coefficient of determination(R^(2))of 0.987,a mean absolute error(MAE)of 2.96 kg,a mean square error(MSE)of 12.87 kg^(2),and a mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)of 8.45%.The results demonstrated that the machine learning models effectively predicted the weight values of the pigs,providing technical support for intelligent pig farm management.

Recent years have witnessed numerous technical breakthroughs in connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). On the one hand, these breakthroughs have significantly advanced the development of intelligent transportation systems (ITSs);on the other hand, these new traffic participants introduce more complex and uncertain elements to ITSs from the social space. Digital twins (DTs) provide real-time, data-driven, precise modeling for constructing the digital mapping of physical-world ITSs. Meanwhile, the metaverse integrates emerging technologies such as virtual reality/mixed reality, artificial intelligence, and DTs to model and explore how to realize improved sustainability, increased efficiency, and enhanced safety. More recently, as a leading effort toward general artificial intelligence, the concept of foundation model was proposed and has achieved significant success, showing great potential to lay the cornerstone for diverse artificial intelligence applications across different domains. In this article, we explore the big models embodied foundation intelligence for parallel driving in cyber-physical-social spaces, which integrate metaverse and DTs to construct a parallel training space for CAVs, and present a comprehensive elucidation of the crucial characteristics and operational mechanisms. Beyond providing the infrastructure and foundation intelligence of big models for parallel driving, this article also discusses future trends and potential research directions, and the ?S?goals of parallel driving.

Exciton Bose–Einstein Condensation in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayer under In-Plane Magnetic Fields

Based on the Gross–Pitaevskii equation,we theoretically investigate exciton Bose–Einstein condensation(BEC)in transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers(TMDC-MLs)under in-plane magnetic *** observe that the in-plane magnetic fields exert a strong influence on the exciton BEC wave functions in TMDC-MLs because of the mixing of the bright and dark exciton states via Zeeman *** leads to the brightening of the dark exciton BEC *** competition between the dipole–dipole interactions caused by the long-range Coulomb interaction and the Zeeman effect induced by the in-plane magnetic fields can effectively regulate dark exciton BEC *** findings emphasize the utility of TMD-MLs as platforms for investigating collective phenomenon involving excited states.

在碱性环境下电解水制氢过程中,FeNi基复合材料是一类最有前途替代传统贵重金属的催化剂。以Ni(CH_(3)COO)_(2)和FeSO_(4)为金属离子原料,控制Ni^(2+):Fe^(2+)的摩尔比为3:1和金属离子(Fe^(2+)+Ni^(2+))总浓度为0.6 mol/L。以PVA为胶体剂,采用静电纺丝与气氛热处理技术制备前驱体纤维,再经1000℃气氛热处理,通过Ni,Fe,S元素的原位反应,成功制备了珠链状的FeNi_(3)/Ni_(3-x)S_(2)/C混晶复合纳米材料。结果表明,纳米珠链的直径约为200 nm,链珠的表面均呈蓬松状,Fe,Ni,S和C元素均匀分布于纳米珠链基体中。电化学分析表明,由1000℃气氛热处理制备的FeNi_3/Ni_(3-x)S_(2)/C混晶复合催化剂,在1 mol/L的KOH水溶液中表现出优异的析氧(OER)性能,在10 mA·cm^(-2)时,表现出278.59 mV的过电位。

The mid-infrared optical frequency comb is a powerful tool for gas *** this study,we demonstrate a simple midinfrared dual-comb spectrometer covering 3±4μm in Li Nb O_(3)*** on a low-power fiber laser system,the mid-infrared comb is achieved via intra-pulse difference frequency generation in the Li Nb O_(3)*** construct pre-chirp management before supercontinuum generation to control spatiotemporal alignment for pump and signal *** supercontinuum is directly coupled into a chirped periodically poled Li Nb O_(3)waveguide for the 3±4μm idler generation.A mid-infrared dual-comb spectrometer based on this approach provides a 100 MHz resolution over25 THz *** evaluate the applicability for spectroscopy,we measure the methane spectrum using the dualcomb *** measured results are consistent with the HITRAN database,in which the root mean square of the residual is 3.2%.This proposed method is expected to develop integrated and robust mid-infrared dual-comb spectrometers on chip for sensing.

Dynamic mechanical characteristics of deep Jinping marble in complex stress environments

To reveal the dynamic mechanical characteristics of deep rocks,a series of impact tests under triaxial static stress states corresponding to depths of 300-2400 m were *** results showed that both the strain rates and the stress environments in depth significantly affect the mechanical characteristics of *** sensitivity of strain rate to the dynamic strength and deformation modulus shows a negative correlation with depth,indicating that producing penetrative cracks in deep environments is more difficult when damage *** dynamic strength shows a tendency to decrease and then increase slightly,but decreases sharply *** demonstrates a similar trend as that of strength,whereas reflectivity indicates the opposite ***,two critical depths with high dynamically induced hazard possibilities based on the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)were proposed for deep *** first critical depth is 600-900 m,beyond which the sensitivity of rock dynamic characteristics to the strain rate and restraint of circumferential stress decrease,causing instability of surrounding rocks under axial stress *** second one lies at 1500-1800 m,where the wave impedance and dynamic strength of deep surrounding rocks drop sharply,and the dissipation energy presents a negative *** suggests that the dynamic instability of deep surrounding rocks can be divided into dynamic load dominant and dynamic load induced types,depending on the second critical depth.

Radiative leptonic decay of heavy quarkonia

In this study,the properties of heavy quarkonia X are examined by treating them as bound states of Q and Q at the leading-order level within the non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics(NROCD)framework,where Q represents either a charm or bottom *** branching ratios for the radiative leptonic decays X→γl^(+)l^(-)are revisited,and the angular and energy/momentum distributions of the final state particles are analyzed in the restframe of ***,we apply Lorentz transformations from the rest frame of X to the center-of-mass frame of l^(+)l^(-)to establish the connection between the widths Г_(x→γl^(+)l^(-))and Г_(x→l^(+)l^(-)).The comparison of the connection tothose documented in literature(divided by 2π)for various X states,such as J/Ψ,Ψ(2S),Υ(1S),and Υ(2S),shows relative differences typically around or below 10%,comparable to the next-to-leading order corrections of O(α)and 0(ν^(4)).However,we observe a significant disparity in the ratio betweenГ_(Ψ(2S)→γτ^(+)τ^(-))andГ_(Ψ(2S)→τ^(+)τ^(-)),with our prediction being four times larger than those in *** outcomes derived from this study have practical *** in describing the quantum electrodynamics radiative processes and contribute to the investigation of QCD processes associated with the decays of heavy quarkonia and searches for new physies.
