A High-Resolution Measurement Method for Inner and Outer 3D Surface Profiles of Laser Fusion Targets Using a Laser Differential Confocal–Atomic Force Probe Technique

The high-resolution and nondestructive co-reference measurement of the inner and outer threedimensional(3D)surface profiles of laser fusion targets is difficult to *** this study,we propose a laser differential confocal(LDC)–atomic force probe(AFP)method to measure the inner and outer 3D surface profiles of laser fusion targets at a high *** method utilizes the LDC method to detect the deflection of the AFP and exploits the high spatial resolution of the AFP to enhance the spatial resolution of the outer profile *** and co-reference measurements of the inner profile of a target were achieved using the tomographic characteristics of the LDC ***,by combining multiple repositionings of the target using a horizontal slewing shaft,the inner and outer 3D surface profiles of the target were obtained,along with a power spectrum assessment of the entire *** experimental results revealed that the respective axial and lateral resolutions of the outer profile measurement were 0.5 and 1.3 nm,while the respective axial and lateral resolutions of the inner profile measurement were 2.0 nm and approximately 400.0 *** repeatabilities of the rootmean-square deviation measurements for the outer and inner profiles of the target were 2.6 and 2.4 nm,*** believe our study provides a promising method for the high-resolution and nondestructive co-reference measurement of the inner and outer 3D profiles of laser fusion targets.

Delay-dependent robust stability of stochastic delay systems with Markovian switching

In recent years, the stability of hybrid stochastic delay systems, one of the important issues in the study of stochastic systems, has received considerable attention. However, the existing results do not deal with the structure of the diffusion but estimate its upper bound, which induces conservatism. This paper studies delay-dependent robust stability of hybrid stochastic delay systems. A delay-dependent criterion for robust exponential stability of hybrid stochastic delay systems is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）, which exploits the structure of the diffusion. Numerical examples are given to verify the effectiveness and less conservativeness of the proposed method.

Effects of cerium addition on the microstructure and stress rupture properties of a new nickel-based cast superalloy

The microstructure and stress rupture properties of a new nickel-based cast superalloy were investigated with the cerium(Ce)additions of 0,19,50,96,150,and 300 ppm,*** results indicated that Ce was mainly found in M C and M 23 C 6 carbides,and it was also found to exist in the form of cerium-rich phases or *** to the microstructure evidence,Ce promoted the formation of M C carbides and aggravated the inhomogeneity of M 23 C 6 carbides along grain *** was also identi-fied that the average sizes of primary and secondaryγ’phases all decreased with the rising Ce *** acceleration of Ti,Nb,and C segregations during solidification was attributed to the influence of cerium on the variation of carbides along grain *** stress rupture life experienced a signifi-cant drop as the Ce content increased from 19 to 300 *** showed that the degradation was mainly attributed to the severe degradation of M C carbides and the easily forming micro-voids around them caused by the Ce *** addition to that,the increments in the inhomogeneous distribution of M 23 C 6 carbides at grain boundaries and the accelerated coarsening rate ofγ’phases both induced the fracture under complex stress conditions.

Open-channel droplet arrays have attracted much attention in the fields of biochemical analysis,biofluid monitoring,biomarker recognition and cell interactions,as they have advantages with regard to miniaturization,parallelization,high-throughput,simplicity and *** droplet arrays not only improve the sensitivity and accuracy of a biosensor,but also do not require sophisticated equipment or tedious processes,showing great potential in next-generation miniaturized sensing *** review summarizes typical examples of open-channel micro droplet arrays and focuses on diversified biosensing integrated with multiple signal-output approaches(fluorescence,colorimetric,surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS),electrochemical,etc.).The limitations and development prospects of open-channel droplet arrays in biosensing are also discussed with regard to the increasing demand for biosensors.

A class of twostep continuity Runge-Kutta methods for solving singular delay differential equations and its convergence

An idea of relaxing the effect of delay when computing the Runge-Kutta stages in the current step and a class of two-step continuity Runge-Kutta methods （TSCRK） is presented. Their construction, their order conditions and their convergence are studied. The two-step continuity Runge-Kutta methods possess good numerical stability properties and higher stage-order, and keep the explicit process of computing the Runge-Kutta stages. The numerical experiments show that the TSCRK methods are efficient.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) are a class of porous inorganic-organic hybrid materials, which are constructed from diverse inorganic building units and multi-functional organic ligands. Highly ordered pore structures and tailored functionalization have made MOF materials potential for applications in many fields. Among various MOF materials, 3p-block metal(Al, Ga, and In)-based MOFs exhibit higher chemical stability than divalent transition metal-based MOFs due to their higher valence. In this review, Al-MOFs and In-MOFs were mainly discussed from the perspective of categories of inorganic building blocks, coordination types, and numbers of organic ligands. This review will give intuitive guidance to the design and synthesis of novel 3p-block metal-based MOFs with potential applications.

Numerical study of the influence of dome shape on the unsteady aerodynamic performance of a high-speed train's pantograph subjected to crosswind

This study aims to investigate the unsteady aerodynamic performance of a high-speed train’s pantograph with respect to two different dome shapes and without dome under a20°yaw angle using a delayed detached eddy simulation ***,the influence of the dome shape on the simulation results is *** accuracy of the numerical method was validated by comparing a few of the numerical results with the wind tunnel test results,and high consistency was *** analysis of aerodynamic forces and flow structures around the pantograph was *** dome had significant influence on velocity field distribution surrounding the pantograph,particularly in the wake of flow *** with the case where the dome was absent,vortex intensity around the pantograph increased after installing the *** existence of the bathtub-type dome resulted in greater flow field disturbance and vortex strength than the baffle-type ***,the dome considerably affected time-averaged aerodynamic coefficients and their fluctuations,especially the bathtub-type ***,the power spectral density of the unsteady aerodynamic coefficient of each pantograph component exhibited significant peaks and typical broadband distribution characteristics.

Photocatalytic properties of hierarchical BiOXs obtained via an ethanol-assisted solvothermal process

In this study, bismuth oxyhalide（Bi OXs（X_Cl, Br, I）） semiconductors were prepared by a simple solvothermal method, with ethanol serving as solvent and a series of tetrabutylammonium halide surfactants as halogen sources. Under identical synthetic conditions, Bi OBr was more readily constructed into regular flower-like hierarchical architectures. The photocatalytic properties of the materials were studied by monitoring the degradation of rhodamine B（Rh B）,with visible light absorption, and colorless salicylic acid（SA）. It was found that both Rh B and SA were rapidly degraded on the surface of Bi OBr. Bi OCl was rather active for the degradation of Rh B,but ineffective toward the degradation of SA. However, neither Rh B nor SA could be degraded effectively in the case of Bi OI. Further experiments such as UV–visible spectroscopy and detection of U OH and O2 Uradicals suggest that the electronic structure of the Bi OX photocatalysts is responsible for the difference in their activities.

Influence of sunlight on the proliferation of cyanobacterial blooms and its potential applications in Lake Taihu, China

To learn the relationship between sunlight intensity and cyanobacterial proliferations for the further control of the heavy blooms, enclosure experiment were conducted in Meiliang Bay, Lake Taihu by regulating the natural light intensities with different shading ratio （0% （full sunlight）, 10%, 25%, 50% and 75% of original natural sunlight intensities） from September to November in 2010. The results indicated that phytoplankton biomass （mean） decreased significantly when the shading ratios reached 50% or more. Higher shading ratios （e.g. 75%） were very efficient in controlling the average and total cyanobacterialbloom biomass, while 50% shading ratio was proven very effective either in controlling the peak value of phytoplankton biomass or postponing the occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Talhu. In addition, phytoplankton composition and photosynthesis efficiency were also affected by altering the shading ratios, and in turn, they might also act on phytoplankton growth. Based on the results from the present study, intermediate shading strategies such as regulation of water level or turbidity through the hydrology regulations would probably be an effective and efficient method in controlling cyanobacterial blooms in large and shallow lakes.
