OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antidepressant effects of the Radix et Caulis Acanthopanacis Santicosi extracts in response to the tail suspension test(TST)and forced swim test (FST) in ***:Male Wistar rats (9-week-old) wereorally administered the Radix et Caulis Acanthopanacis Santicosi extracts(30, 100 and 300 mg/kg) daily for 14 consecutive days. Serum corticosterone level was measured by using commercially available *** c-fos immunoreactivity was analyzed using immunohistochemistry ***:The effect of Radix et Caulis Acanthopanacis Santicosi extracts on the immobility time was significantly decreased at high-dose(300 mg/kg)treated group in the TST and FST(47.7%and69.6%,P<0.05), and decreased the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal(HPA) axis response to the stress,as in-dicated by an attenuated corticosterone response anddecreasedc-fosimmunoreactivity in the hippocampal and hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus ***:Radix et Caulis Acanthopanacis Santicosi extracts have beneficial effects on depression behaviors and restore both altered c-fos expression and HPA ***, Radix et Caulis Acanthopanacis Santicosi extracts may be a novel agent for the treatmentof stress-related disorders.

In disaster response,collaboration facilitates interactions among actors,such as the government,the military,nongovernmental organizations,and civil society *** study examined the longitudinal changes in collaborative governance in Myanmar’s disaster responses based on cases of flooding in 2015,2016,and *** examine the mechanisms underlying this dynamic network formation,the collaborative ties of the actors involved in search and rescue activities were converted into longitudinal relational data sets,and the evolution of collaborative governance was analyzed by relying on the assumptions of social capital,transaction cost,homophily,and resource dependency theories and using a longitudinal social network analysis *** findings show that the collaborative networks of search and rescue processes in disaster response evolved and changed over time according to the hypothesized patterns of strong,weak,and preferential tie *** study also revealed that the collaborative governance system assumes the form of a hierarchy rather than a generalized exchange,and the actors’reliance on military organizations is not obvious due to the emerging alternative non-military actors and diverse local actors observed in the cases.

A general solution of sun tracking for an arbitrarily oriented heliostat towards an arbitrarily located target on the earth is published. With the most general form of solar tracking formulae, it is seen that the used azimuthelevation, spinning-elevation tracking formulae etc. are the special cases of it. The possibilities of utilizing the general solution and its significance in solar energy engineering are discussed.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the local creep damage of various microstructures such as coarse grained heat affected zone （CGHAZ）, fine grained heat affected zone （FG- HAZ）, intercritical heat affected zone （ICHAZ） known as Type IV region, weld metal, and base metal of P92（9Cr-2W） steel weldment by small punch （SP） creep test at 600~ C. Also, to determine the weakest local part of the weldment, the effect of microstructures on creep rupture behavior in the weldment of P92 steel was studied. From the experimental results, the FGHAZ and Type IV region turned out to be very weak local parts of P92 weldment. Especially, the TYPE IV region showed the greatest displacement rate and had the shortest rupture life with many creep cavities widely spreaded in most of the region.

Novel effective treatment is direly needed for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).Therapeutics that target the driver mutations,especially the KRAS oncoprotein and its effector cascades,have been *** is increasing clear that the extensive fibro-inflammatory stroma(or desmoplasia)of PDAC plays an active role in the progression and therapeutic resistance of *** desmoplastic stroma is composed of dense extracellular matrix(ECM)deposited mainly by the cancer-associatedfibroblasts(CAFs)and infiltrated with various types of immune *** dense ECM functions as a physical barrier that limits tumor vasculatures and distribution of therapeutics to PDAC *** addition,mounting evidence have demonstrated that both CAFs and ECM promote PDAC cells aggressiveness through multiple mechanisms,particularly engagement of the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)*** of a mesenchymal-like phenotype renders PDAC cells more invasive and resistant to therapyinduced ***,we critically review seminal and recent articles on the signaling mechanisms by which each stromal element promotes EMT in *** discussed the experimental models that are currently employed and best suited to study EMT in PDAC,which are instrumental in increasing the chance of successful clinical translation.

Defense systems are needed to prevent catastrophic failures of a power grid due to cascaded events. Cascaded events can be attributed to improper operations of protective relays. The most challenging problem for the design and implementation of a defense system is the performance in accuracy and speed in a real time environment. Protective devices are normally designed to operate fast in order to isolate the fault（s）. This paper proposes a new methodology to distinguish line overloads from actual faults for distance relays. In order to distinguish between line flow transfers from a line outage and an actual fault, the line outage distribution factor （LQDF） and generation shift factor （GSF） based power flow estimation method, and a secure peer to peer （P2P） communication structure are adopted. Computer simulations of cascaded events for a 6-bus system and the Korean power grid have been performed to establish the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

This study investigates the effects of technical cheerleading and dance cheerleading on the psychological health of female college students by utilizing the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),the Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale for Interpersonal Relationships,and the Social Adaptability Diagnostic *** findings indicate the following:(1)Technical cheerleading has a highly significant impact on sensitivity in interpersonal relationships,paranoia,and psychoticism,and a significant effect on anxiety and hostility;dance cheerleading has a highly significant effect on paranoia;(2)Both technical and dance cheerleading have minimal impact on the overall score distribution of interpersonal relationships among female college students,but the dimensions of their effects differ;(3)The impact of technical cheerleading on the social adaptability of female college students is more pronounced than that of dance cheerleading.

A dibenzosilole-based host material was designed and *** host material,9,9'-(5,5-diphenyl-5H-dibenzo[b,d]silole-2,8-diyl)bis(9H-carbazole)(SSiCz),was designed to enhance the electron transport properties and rigidity by coupling two phenyl units of the tetraphenyl silane of a strong hole transport type bis(4-(9Hcarbazol-9-yl)phenyl)diphenylsilane *** device efficiency roll-off was improved considerably by balancing the carriers in the phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes(PhOLEDs),and the driving voltage at high luminance was *** red and green PhOLEDs exhibited high external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)of 23.8%and 24.9%,respectively,and a relieved efficiency *** addition,S-SiCz was used as an electron transport type host with a hole transport type3,3'-di(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-1,1'-biphenyl *** maximum EQEs of the red and green PhOLEDs using the mixed host were 26.0%and 25.5%,respectively,and EQE roll-off values were 18%and 6%,***,the planarization design strategy of the host is effective for better device performance.
