Magnetic emission intensity enhancement for amorphous alloys by constructing a multi-phase structure withα-Fe nanocrystals

The perturbation in the magnetic field generated by the rotation or oscillation of magnetic domains in magnetic materials can emit low-frequency electromagnetic waves,which are expected to be used in low-frequency ***,the magnetic emission intensity,defined by the perturbation ability,of current commercially applied amorphous alloys,such as Metglas,cannot meet the application requirements for low-frequency antennas due to the domain motion energy ***,a multi-phase Metglas amorphous alloy was constructed by incorporatingα-Fe nanocrystals using rapid annealing to manipulate the domain *** was found that 3.89 times higher magnetic emission intensity is obtained compared to the pristine due to the synergism of the deformation and displacement ***,the low-frequency magnetic emission performance verification was carried out by preparing magnetoelectric composites as the antenna vibrator by assembling the alloy and macro piezoelectric fiber composites(MFC).Enhancements of magnetic emission intensity are found at 93.3%and 49.2.at the first and second harmonic frequencies compared with the unmodified alloy ***,the approach leads to the development of high-performance communication with a novel standard for evaluation.

Exploring efficient photocatalysts for solar driven CO_(2. reduction with water(H_(2.O)as a proton donor is highly imperative but remains a great challenge because the synchronous enhancement of CO_(2. activation,H_(2.O dissociation and proton transfer is hardly achieved on a ***,the sluggish H_(2.O dissociation impedes the photocatalytic CO_(2. reduction reaction involving multiple proton–electron coupling transfer ***,a sulfur-doped BiOCl(S-BiOCl)photocatalyst with abundant oxygen vacancies(OV)is developed,which exhibits broadband-light harvesting across solar spectrum and distinct photothermal effect due to *** photocatalytic CO_(2. reduction with H_(2.O in a gas–solid system,the high CO yield of 49.76μmol·g_(cat)^(-1)·h^(-1) with 100%selectivity is achieved over the S-BiOCl catalyst under a simulated *** H_(2.O-assisted CO_(2. reduction reaction on S-BiOCl catalyst is triggered by photocatalysis and the photothermal heating further enhances the reaction *** kinetic isotope experiments indicate that the sluggish H_(2.O dissociation affects the whole photocatalytic CO_(2. reduction *** presence of oxygen vacancies promotes the adsorption and activation of H_(2.O and CO_(2.,and the doped S sites play a crucial role in boosting H_(2.O dissociation and accelerating the dynamic migration of hydrogen *** a result,the ingenious integration of OV defects,S sites and photothermal effect in S-BiOCl catalyst conjointly contributes to the significant improvement in photocatalytic CO_(2. reduction performance.

Vocal communication plays an important role in survival,reproduction,and animal social *** and mammals produce com-plex vocal sequence to convey context-dependent *** are conspicuous features of the behavior of most anuran species(frogs and toads),and males usually alter their calling strategies according to ecological context to improve the attractiveness/***,very few studies have focused on the variation of vocal sequence in *** the present study,we used both conventional method and network analysis to investigate the context-dependent vocal repertoire,vocal sequence,and call network structure in serrate-legged small treefrogs Kurixalus *** found that male *** modified their vocal sequence by switching to different call types and increasing repertoire size in the presence of a competitive ***,compared with before and after the playback of advertisement calls,males emited fewer advertisement calls,but more aggressive calls,encounter calls,and compound calls during the playback *** analysis revealed that the mean degree,mean closeness,and mean betweenness of the call networks significantly decreased during the playback period,which resulted in lower *** addition,the increased proportion of one-way motifs and average path length also indicated that the connectivity of the call network decreased in competitive ***,the vocal sequence of *** did not display a clear small-world network structure,regardless of *** study presents a paradigm to apply network analysis to vocal sequence in anurans and has important implications for understanding the evolution and function of sequence patterns.

As a common hyperglycemic disease,type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM)is a complicated disorder that requires a lifelong insulin supply due to the immunemediated destruction of pancreaticβ*** it is an organ-specific autoimmune disorder,T1DM is often associated with multiple other autoimmune *** most prevalent concomitant autoimmune disorder occurring in T1DM is autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD),which mainly exhibits two extremes of phenotypes:hyperthyroidism[Graves'disease(GD)]and hypothyroidism[Hashimoto's thyroiditis,(HT)].However,the presence of comorbid AITD may negatively affect metabolic management in T1DM patients and thereby may increase the risk for potential diabetes-related ***,routine screening of thyroid function has been recommended when T1DM is ***,first,we summarize current knowledge regarding the etiology and pathogenesis mechanisms of both ***,an updated review of the association between T1DM and AITD is ***,we provide a relatively detailed review focusing on the application of thyroid ultrasonography in diagnosing and managing HT and GD,suggesting its critical role in the timely and accurate diagnosis of AITD in T1DM.

Simulation of gas-solid flow characteristics of the circulating fluidized bed boiler under pure-oxygen combustion conditions

Under the pressure of carbon neutrality,many carbon capture,utilization and storage technologies have witnessed rapid development in the recent years,including oxy-fuel combustion(OFC)***,the conventional OFC technology usually depends on the flue gas recirculation system,which faces significant investment,high energy consumption,and potential low-temperature corrosion *** these deficiencies,the direct utilization of pure oxygen to achieve particle fluidization and fuel combustion may reduce the overall energy consumption and CO_(2.-capture *** this paper,the fundamental structure of a self-designed 130 t·h^(-1) pure-oxygen combustion circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler was provided,and the computational particle fluid dynamics method was used to analyze the gas-solid flow characteristics of this new-concept boiler under different working *** results indicate that through the careful selection of design or operational parameters,such as average bed-material size and fluidization velocity,the pure-oxygen combustion CFB system can maintain the ideal fluidization state,namely significant internal and external particle ***,the contraction section of the boiler leads to the particle backflow in the lower furnace,resulting in the particle suspension concentration near the wall region being higher than that in the center ***,the upper furnace still retains the classic core-annulus flow *** addition to increasing solid circulation rate by reducing the average bed-material size,altering primary gas ratio and bed inventory can also exert varying degrees of influence on the gas-solid flow characteristics of the pure-oxygen combustion CFB boiler.

Background and Aims:The role of platelet autophagy in cirrhotic thrombocytopenia(CTP)remains *** study aimed to investigate the impact of platelet autophagy in CTP and elucidate the regulatory mechanism of hydrogen sulfide(H_(2.S)on platelet ***:Platelets from 56 cirrhotic patients and 56 healthy individuals were isolated for in vitro *** markers(ATG7,BECN1,LC3,and SQSTM1)were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,while autophagosomes were visualized through electron *** blotting was used to assess the autophagy-related proteins and the PDGFR/PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway following treatment with NaHS(an H_(2.S donor),hydroxocobalamin(an H_(2.S scavenger),or AG 12.5(a selective PDGFR-α/inhibitor).A carbon terachloride-induced cirrhotic BALB/c mouse model was *** mice with thrombocytopenia were randomly treated with normal saline,NaHS,or hydroxocobalamin for 15 *** in platelet count and aggregation rate were observed every three ***:Cirrhotic patients with thrombocytopenia exhibited significantly decreased platelet autophagy markers and endogenous H_(2.S levels,alongside increased platelet aggregation,compared to healthy *** vitro,NaHS treatment of platelets from severe CTP patients elevated LC3-II levels,reduced SQSTM1 levels,and decreased platelet aggregation in a dose-dependent manner.H_(2.S treatment inhibited PDGFR,PI3K,Akt,and mTOR *** vivo,NaHS significantly increased LC3-II and decreased SQSTM1 expressions in platelets of cirrhotic mice,reducing platelet aggregation without affecting the platelet ***:Diminished platelet autophagy potentially contributes to thrombocytopenia in cirrhotic patients.H_(2.S modulates platelet autophagy and functions possibly via the PDGFR-α/PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.

Effects of heat treatment on microstructures and properties of a heterostructured alloy with dissimilar components fabricated by WAAM

Heat treatment significantly influences homogeneous material microstructures and mechanical properties,which can be improved by an optimal heat treatment ***,heat treatment application to heterogeneous materials presents significant challenges due to compositional and microstructural ***,a laminated heterostructured alloy comprising alternating316L stainless steel(SS)and 18Ni300 maraging steel(MS)layers fabricated using wire and arc additive manufacturing was investigated.A solution treatment was applied at900℃for 0.5 ***,the solution-treated and asfabricated(AF)samples were aged at 500℃for 4 h;these samples were denoted SA and AT,*** AT phase compositions and orientations were similar to those of *** SA 316L SS layer resembled that of AF,but the SA 18Ni300 MS layers exhibited a reduced austenite phase fraction and refined grain size,attributable to solid-state *** the AT sample,aging induced the formation of nanoscale acicularωphase and ellipsoidal Ni_(3)Ti,Fe_(2.Mo,and X precipitates in the 18Ni300 MS ***,the SA precipitates contained acicular Fe Ni_(2.and ellipsoidalω,Ni_(3)Ti,and X precipitates,and their fractions were lower than those in AT ***18Ni300 MS layer microhardness in the heat-treated samples increased due to nanoprecipitation,but the 316L SS layer microhardness resembled that of *** AT and SA ultimate tensile strengths increased to(1360±50)and(1473±41)MPa,respectively,attributable to precipitation *** SA 316L SS layer exhibited a high stress-induced martensite fraction,enhancing the ductility of heated samples.

Experimental investigation of bed-to-wall heat transfer in fluidized beds of a Geldart B sorbent particle under a full spectrum of fluidization regime

Fluidization technology has been used in CO_(2. capture processes, the successful design and operation of the heat exchangers involved in this process require much information on the bed-to-wall heat transfer of the sorbent particles in fluidized states. In this study, the bed-to-wall heat transfer coefficient (h) of a solid amine sorbent was measured by a heat transfer probe in a large-scale circulating fluidized bed cold model unit, where full spectrum of fluidization regimes can be realized. The corresponding hydrodynamic signals were also studied by pressure sensors and optical fiber probes to further explain the newly discovered phenomenon. The results show that in a dense bed, due to the counterbalanced effect of time fraction of packet and packet renewal frequency, h of the Geldart B particle reaches a peak within the bubbling fluidized regime, and the radial distribution of h are opposite in bubbling and turbulent fluidized regimes. In a fast fluidization regime, gas convection becomes the dominant factor affecting h when the solids holdup is low enough. Correlations were provided or recommended to guide the design of heat exchangers in the fluidized bed CO_(2. capture processes.

The adsorb model of formic acid on NaX derived from TPD was discussed. It was showed that the adsorb sites were various exposed framework O2. centers bearing different basic intensity and spatial resistance. The h-peak was attributed to O2. near S-III in supercage and l-peak to O2. near S-II in beta-cage of faujusite zeolite. The model can explain the experimental results. Meanwhile, a relative standard of basic intensity based on TPD of formic acid was founded.
