Recent advancements in biomedical research have underscored the importance of noninvasive cellular manipulation ***,a method that uses genetic engineering to produce ultrasound-sensitive proteins in target cells,is gaining prominence along with optogenetics,electrogenetics,and *** stimulation with ultrasound,these proteins trigger a cascade of cellular activities and *** traditional ultrasound modalities,sonogenetics offers enhanced spatial selectivity,improving precision and safety in disease *** technology broadens the scope of non-surgical interventions across a wide range of clinical research and therapeutic applications,including neuromodulation,oncologic treatments,stem cell therapy,and *** current literature predominantly emphasizes ultrasonic neuromodulation,this review offers a comprehensive exploration of *** discuss ultrasound properties,the specific ultrasound-sensitive proteins employed in sonogenetics,and the technique’s potential in managing conditions such as neurological disorders,cancer,and ophthalmic diseases,and in stem cell *** objective is to stimulate fresh perspectives for further research in this promising field.

Neuropeptide Y receptor Y8(NPY8R)is a fish-specific receptor with two subtypes,NPY8AR and *** in expression levels during physiological processes or in vivo regulation after ventricular injection suggest that NPY8BR plays an important role in feeding regulation;this has been found in only a few fish,at *** order to better understand the physiological function of npy8br,especially in digestion,we used clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)technology to generate npy8br-/-japanese medaka(Oryzias latipes).We found that the deletion of npy8br in medaka larvae affected their feeding and digestion ability,ultimately affecting their ***,npy8br deficiency in medaka larvae resulted in decreased feed intake and decreased expression levels of orexigenic genes(npy and agrp).npy8br-/-medaka larvae fed for 1. d(1.th day of feeding)still had incompletely digested brine shrimp(Artemia nauplii)in the digestive tract 8 h after feeding,the messenger RNA(mRNA)expression levels of digestion-related genes(amy,lpl,ctra,and ctrb)were significantly decreased,and the activity of amylase,trypsin,and lipase also significantly *** deletion of npy8br in medaka larvae inhibited the growth and significantly decreased the expression of growth-related genes(gh and igf1..Hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)sections of intestinal tissue showed that npy8br-/-medaka larvae had damaged intestine,thinned intestinal wall,and shortened intestinal *** far,this is the first npy8br gene knockout model established in fish and the first demonstration that npy8br plays an important role in digestion.

Polarizable electrode of electric double layer capacitor was made from carbon nanotubes. The effect of acid oxidation of electrode on the specific capacitance was studied. Oxidation removed the redundant carbon, expanded the pore size and introducedf some kinds of functional groups on the surface of CNTs. The specific capacitance of the electrodes winth organic electrolyte was increased from 21.4 to 49.6 F/g after being oxidized at a volume ratio H2SO4 to HNO3 of 3:1.

Experimental study on the interaction between peat,lignite and germanium-bearing solution at low temperature

The interaction between peat, lignite and germanium(Ge)-bearing solution with an initial Ge concentration of 5 mg/L was studied at 25―1.0℃ and at pH 2.96―1..08. The results show that the apparent transfer ratios of peat and lignite for Ge in the solution were positively correlated with temperature in acid environment (initial pH=2.96), and the ratios (up to 86.5%) of lignite were obviously higher than those (up to 58.5%) of peat, but the organic transfer ratios of lignite were lower than those of peat. The activation energy values for interaction between peat, lignite and Ge-bearing solution are 30.96 and 1..67 kJmol?1. respectively. The strong acid (initial pH=2.96) and the strong alkaline (initial pH=1..08) environment contribute to the transfer of Ge in the solution. At 41., the influences of pH on the interaction between peat and Ge-bearing solution are not significant, while weak acid environment (initial pH=6.38) conduces to the transfer of Ge into lignite. The interaction between peat, lignite and Ge-bearing solution are mainly attributable for the complexation of Ge with organic substrate. The experimental results from this study provide direct experimental evidence for the hydrothermal sedimentary genesis of abnormal enrichment of Ge in coal.

In this paper we propose an L1./2 regularizer which has a nonconvex *** L 1.2 regularizer is shown to have many promising properties such as unbiasedness, sparsity and oracle properties.A reweighed iterative algorithm is proposed so that the solution of the L 1.2 regularizer can be solved through transforming it into the solution of a series of L 1.*** solution of the L 1.2 regularizer is more sparse than that of the L 1.regularizer, while solving the L 1.2 regularizer is much simpler than solving the L 0 *** experiments show that the L 1.2 regularizer is very useful and efficient, and can be taken as a representative of the Lp(0 1. regularizer.

Electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) is to directly control the wettability of liquids on the solid surface by applying the electric potential to the microelectrode array under the dielectric layer. The prototype of the EWOD droplet creator with the sandwiched structure is used: the droplet is sandwiched between the top and bottom plates; the bot- tom plate consists of silicon used as the substrate of the microelectrode array, nitride sili- con film deposited by low pressure chemical vapor deposition as the dielectric layer and the fluorocarbon polymer film deposited by inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition as the hydrophobic layer; and the top plate is the transparent electrode covered with the hydrophobic layer. To obtain the required minimum voltage, the process and the criterion of creating droplets are analyzed. At the voltage of 35 V the deionized water droplet surrounded in silicone oil is successfully created.

In this study the w/o/w extraction–evaporation technique was adopted to prepare poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microspheres loading recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF). The micro-spheres were characterized for morphology by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and particle size distribution. The release performances, the proliferation effects and therapeutic effects of rhEGF-loaded PLGA microspheres were all studied. The results showed that these spherical micro-spheres had a narrow size distribution and a high drug encapsulation efficiency (85.6%). RhEGF-loaded microspheres enhanced the growth rate of fibroblasts and wound healing more efficiently than pure rhEGF. The number of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the epidermis layer with the mi-crosphere treatment was significantly larger than those of the control groups. Overall locally sustained delivery of rhEGF from biodegradable PLGA microspheres may serve as a novel therapeutic strategy for diabetic ulcer repair.

Let λK m,n be a bipartite multigraph with two partite sets having m and n vertices, respectively. A P v-factorization of λK m,n is a set of edge-disjoint P v-factors of λK m,n which partition the set of edges of λK m,n . When v is an even number, Ushio, Wang and the second author of the paper gave a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a P v-factorization of λK m,n . When v is an odd number, we have proposed a conjecture. Very recently, we have proved that the conjecture is true when v = 4k ? 1. In this paper we shall show that the conjecture is true when v = 4k + 1. and then the conjecture is true. That is, we will prove that the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a P 4k+1.factorization of λK m,n are (1. 2km ? (2k + 1.n, (2) 2kn ? (2k + 1.m, (3) m + n ≡ 0 (mod 4k + 1., (4) λ(4k + 1.mn/[4k(m + n)] is an integer.
