Oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is the imperative reaction for many energy storage and conversion devices such as recharge-able metal-air batteries and electrochemical water splitting[1].OER is a complex 4-electron process with sluggish kinetics and therefore requires electrocatalysts to overcome the high *** oxide(RuO_(2))and iridium oxide(IrO_(2))catalysts can promote the OER process remarkably[2-4],however,their ex-tremely high cost,natural scarcity,and long-term instability con-strain their scale-up application in clean-energy technologies[5,6].It is crucial to develop inexpensive,highly efficient,and durable electrocatalysts for OER.

An“on–off–on”fluorescence sensor was designed for rapidly and consecutively detecting 4-nitrophenol and cerium(IV)without the use of any labeling *** yellow carbon dots were synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal approach,and various techniques were applied to investigate the morphology,structure,and optical properties of the carbon *** the optimal experimental conditions,4-nitrophenol rapidly quenched the fluorescence of carbon dots as a result of the inner filter eff ect(IFE).The fluorescence intensity of carbon dots was linear with the concentration of 4-nitrophenol(1–150μmol/L)and the limit of detection was 0.32μmol/*** fluorescence was gradually recovered as the cerium(IV)concentration(0.5–100μmol/L)increased in CDs/4-NP,and the limit of detection was 0.16μmol/*** sensor showed good selectivity and demonstrated high accuracy for the analysis of 4-nitrophenol and cerium(IV)in actual water samples.

Optimal mining sequence for coal faces under a bedding slope:insight from landslide prevention

Repetitive mining beneath bedding slopes is identified as a critical factor in geomorphic disturbances, especially landslides and surface subsidence. Prior research has largely concentrated on surface deformation in plains due to multi-seam coal mining and the instability of natural bedding slopes, yet the cumulative impact of different mining sequences on bedding slopes has been less explored. This study combines drone surveys and geological data to construct a comprehensive three-dimensional model of bedding slopes. Utilizing FLAC3D and PFC2D models, derived from laboratory experiments, it simulates stress, deformation, and failure dynamics of slopes under various mining sequences. Incorporating fractal dimension analysis, the research evaluates the stability of slopes in relation to different mining sequences. The findings reveal that mining in an upslope direction minimizes disruption to overlying strata. Initiating extraction from lower segments increases tensile-shear stress in coal pillar overburdens, resulting in greater creep deformation towards the downslope than when starting from upper segments, potentially leading to localized landslides and widespread creep deformation in mined-out areas. The downslope upward mining sequence exhibits the least fractal dimensions, indicating minimal disturbance to both strata and surface. While all five mining scenarios maintain good slope stability under normal conditions, recalibrated stability assessments based on fractal dimensions suggest that downslope upward mining offers the highest stability under rainfall, contrasting with the lower stability and potential instability risks of upslope downward mining. These insights are pivotal for mining operations and geological hazard mitigation in multi-seam coal exploitation on bedding slopes.

The increasing concentration of atmospheric CO_(2) since the Industrial Revolution has affected surface air ***,the impact of the spatial distribution of atmospheric CO_(2) concentration on surface air temperature biases remains highly *** incorporating the spatial distribution of satellite-derived atmospheric CO_(2) concentration in the Beijing Normal University Earth System Model,this study investigated the increase in surface air temperature since the Industrial Revolution in the Northern Hemisphere(NH) under historical conditions from *** comparison with the increase in surface temperature simulated using a uniform distribution of CO_(2),simulation with a nonuniform distribution of CO_(2)produced better agreement with the Climatic Research Unit(CRU) data in the NH under the historical condition relative to the baseline over the period *** June-July-August(JJA) surface air temperature increased by 1.28℃ ±0.29℃ in simulations with a uniform distribution of CO_(2),by 1.00℃±0.24℃ in simulations with a non-uniform distribution of CO_(2),and by 0.24℃ in the CRU *** decrease in downward shortwave radiation in the non-uniform CO_(2) simulation was primarily attributable to reduced warming in Eurasia,combined with feedbacks resulting from increased leaf area index(LAI) and latent heat *** effects were more pronounced in the non-uniform CO_(2)simulation compared to the uniform CO_(2) *** indicate that consideration of the spatial distribution of CO_(2)concentration can reduce the overestimated increase in surface air temperature simulated by Earth system models.

The multi-agent path planning problem presents significant challenges in dynamic environments,primarily due to the ever-changing positions of obstacles and the complex interactions between agents’*** factors contribute to a tendency for the solution to converge slowly,and in some cases,diverge *** addressing this issue,this paper introduces a novel approach utilizing a double dueling deep Q-network(D3QN),tailored for dynamic multi-agent environments.A novel reward function based on multi-agent positional constraints is designed,and a training strategy based on incremental learning is performed to achieve collaborative path planning of multiple ***,the greedy and Boltzmann probability selection policy is introduced for action selection and avoiding convergence to local *** match radar and image sensors,a convolutional neural network-long short-term memory(CNN-LSTM)architecture is constructed to extract the feature of multi-source measurement as the input of the *** algorithm’s efficacy and reliability are validated in a simulated environment,utilizing robot operating system and *** simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provides a real-time solution for path planning tasks in dynamic *** terms of the average success rate and accuracy,the proposed method is superior to other deep learning algorithms,and the convergence speed is also improved.

The three-orbit constellation can comprehensively increase the spatial coverage of polar-orbiting satellites,but the polar-orbiting satellites currently in operation are only mid-morning-orbit and afternoon-orbit ***-3E(FY-3E)was launched successfully on 5 July 2021 in *** an early-morning-orbit satellite,FY-3E can help form a complete three-orbit observation system together with the mid-morning and afternoon satellites in the current mainstream operational *** this study,we investigate the added benefit of FY-3E microwave sounding observations to the midmorning-orbit Meteorological Operational satellite-B(Met Op-B)and afternoon-orbit Fengyun-3D(FY-3D)microwave observations in the Chinese Meteorological Administration global forecast system(CMA-GFS).The results show that the additional FY-3E microwave temperature sounder-3(MWTS-3)and microwave humidity sounder-2(MWHS-2)data can increase the global coverage of microwave temperature and humidity sounding data by 14.8% and 10.6%,*** enables the CMA-GFS to achieve nearly 100% global coverage of microwave-sounding observations at each analysis ***,after effective quality control and bias correction,the global biases and standard deviations of the differences between observations and model simulations are also *** on the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit A and the Microwave Humidity Sounder onboard Met Op-B,and the MWTS-2 and MWHS-2 onboard FY-3D,adding the microwave sounding data of FY-3E can further reduce the errors of analysis results and improve the global prediction skills of CMA-GFS,especially for the southern-hemisphere forecasts within 96 hours,all of which are significant at the 95% confidence level.

Temporal assembly patterns of microbial communities in three parallel bioreactors treating low-concentration coking wastewater with differing carbon source concentrations

Carbon source is an important factor of biological treatment systems, the effects of which on their temporal community assembly patterns are not sufficiently understood *** this study, the temporal dynamics and driving mechanisms of the communities in three parallel bioreactors for low-concentration coking wastewater(CWW) treatment with differing carbon source concentrations(S0 with no glucose addition, S1 with 200 mg/L glucose addition and S2 with 400 mg/L glucose addition) were comprehensively studied. Highthroughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses including network analysis and Infer Community Assembly Mechanisms by Phylogenetic bin-based null model(iCAMP) were used. The communities of three systems showed turnover rates of 0.0029~0.0034 every 15days. Network analysis results showed that the S0 network showed higher positive correlation proportion(71.43%) and clustering coefficient(0.33), suggesting that carbon source shortage in S0 promoted interactions and cooperation of microbes. The neutral community model analysis showed that the immigration rate increased from 0.5247 in S0 to 0.6478in S2. The iCAMP analysis results showed that drift(45.89%) and homogeneous selection(31.68%) dominated in driving the assembly of all the investigated microbial *** contribution of homogeneous selection increased with the increase of carbon source concentrations, from 27.92% in S0 to 36.08% in S2. The OTUs participating in aerobic respiration and tricarboxylic acid(TCA) cycle were abundant among the bins mainly affected by deterministic processes, while those related to the metabolism of refractory organic pollutants in CWW such as alkanes, benzenes and phenols were abundant in the bins dominated by stochastic processes.

Hybrid Power-line/Visible-light Communication(HPVC)network has been one of the most promising Cooperative Communication(CC)technologies for constructing Smart Home due to its superior communication reliability and hardware *** research on HPVC networks focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of the Physical(PHY)layer,where the Power line Communication(PLC)component only serves as the backbone to provide power to light Emitting Diode(LED)*** designing a Media Access Control(MAC)protocol remains a great challenge because it allows both PLC and Visible light Communication(VLC)components to operate data transmission,i.e.,to achieve a true HPVC network *** solve this problem,we propose a new HPC network MAC protocol(HPVC MAC)based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance(CSMA/CA)by combining IEEE 802.15.7 and IEEE 1901 ***,we add an Additional Assistance(AA)layer to provide the channel selection strategies for sensor stations,so that they can complete data transmission on the selected channel via the specified CSMA/CA mechanism,*** on this,we give a detailed working principle of the HPVC MAC,followed by the construction of a joint analytical model for mathematicalmathematical validation of the HPVC *** the modeling process,the impacts of PHY layer settings(including channel fading types and additive noise feature),CSMA/CA mechanisms of 802.15.7 and 1901,and practical configurations(such as traffic rate,transit buffer size)are comprehensively taken into ***,we prove the proposed analytical model has the ***,through extensive simulations,we characterize the HPVC MAC performance under different system parameters and verify the correctness of the corresponding analytical model with an average error rate of 4.62%between the simulation and analytical results.

Programmable hyper-coded holography has the advantage of being programmable as well as being flexibly *** coded metamaterials with excellent electromagnetic modulation capability and the ability to control the phase to modulate the spatial radiation field through external excitation in the form of switching can be used to realize low-cost digital *** design a 1-bit encoded programmable metasurface,which is electrically connected to control the PIN diode in the switching state and to switch the condition of each metasurface cell between“0”and“1.”Using the designed programmable metasurface,we can randomly encode the cell structure to realize single-focus focusing,multi-focusing,and simple holographic letter *** on the nonlinear holographic model,we employ the Gerchberg-Saxton improvement algorithm to modulate the energy distribution at the focus by adjusting the phase ***,we introduce the Fourier convolution principle to regulate the holographic imaging focus flexibly.
