Let G be a （molecular） graph. The Hosoya index Z（G） of G is defined as the number of subsets of the edge set E（G） in which no two edges are adjacent in G, i.e., Z（G） is the total number of matchings of G. In this paper, we determine all the connected graphs G with n ＋ 1 ≤ Z（G） ≤5n - 17 for n ≥ 19. As a byproduct, the graphs of n vertices with Hosoya index from the second smallest value to the twenty first smallest value are obtained for n ≥ 19.

Nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA)is a severe condition in infertile men,and increasing numbers of causative genes have been identified during the last few *** certain causative genes can explain the presence of NOA in some patients,a proportion of NOA patients remain to be *** study aimed to investigate potential high-risk genes associated with spermatogenesis in idiopathic NOA patients by whole-exome ***-exome sequencing was performed in 46 male patients diagnosed with ***,screening was performed for 119 genes known to be related to male ***,further screening was performed to determine potential high-risk causative genes for NOA by comparisons with 68 healthy male ***,risk genes with high/specific expression in the testes were selected and their expression fluctuations during spermatogenesis were *** frequency of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator(CFTR)gene pathogenic variant carriers was higher in the NOA patients compared with the healthy *** risk genes that may be causes of NOA were identified,including seven genes that were highly/specifically expressed in the *** risk genes previously reported to be involved in spermatogenesis(MutS homolog 5[MSH5],cilia-and flagella-associated protein 54[CFAP54],MAP7 domain containing 3[MAP7D3],and coiled-coil domain containing 33[CCDC33])and three novel risk genes(coiled-coil domain containing 168[CCDC168],chromosome 16 open reading frame 96[C16orf96],and serine protease 48[PRSS48])were identified to be highly or specifically expressed in the testes and significantly different in the 46 NOA patients compared with 68 healthy *** study on clinical NOA patients provides further evidence for the four previously reported risk *** present findings pave the way for further functional investigations and provide candidate risk genes for genetic diagnosis of NOA.

‘Corollas and spines’ is an important trait for fresh market cucumber. In a unique cucumber line, ‘6457’, the super ovary is much larger and corolla opening is delayed by 4–5 days, thus the resulting fruit has a flower that remains on the tip,which has a high commodity value. In this study, to better understand the molecular basis of corolla opening, mRNA and miRNA transcriptome analyses were performed during corolla development of the super and normal ovaries. A total of 234 differentially expressed miRNAs(DEMs) and 291 differentially expressed target genes(DE-target genes) were identified from four developmental stages, and the greatest number of DEMs was found at the yellow bud stage. Thirty of the DE-target genes were regulated by more than five DEMs, among which, CsHD-Zip was regulated by 28 DEMs,followed by DD2X(18). In addition, the expression patterns of miRNA_104, miRNA_157, miRNA_349, miRNA_242, and miRNA_98 were similar during corolla development, and they shared the same target gene, CsCuRX. Moreover, several critical candidate DEMs and DE-target genes were characterized and profiled by a qRT-PCR experiment. Three of the miRNAs, miRNA_157-CsCuRX, miRNA_411-CsGH3.6, and miRNA_161/297/257-CsHD-Zip, might be responsible for corolla opening in the cucumber super ovary. This integrated study on the transcriptional and post-transcriptional profiles can provide insights into the molecular regulatory mechanism underlying corolla opening in the cucumber.

OVATE family proteins(OFPs)are plant-specific proteins with a conserved OVATE domain that regulate plant growth and *** OFPs have been studied in several species,their biological functions remain largely unknown in cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.).This study identified 19 Cs OFPs distributed on seven chromosomes in *** Cs OFP genes were expressed in reproductive organs,but with different expression *** expression of Cs OFP12-16c in Arabidopsis resulted in shorter and blunt *** overall results indicated that Cs OFP12-16c regulates silique development in Arabidopsis and may have a similar function in cucumber.

Objective： To evaluate the safety and risk of cryopreservation in female fertility preservation. Data sources： The data analyzed in this review were the English articles from 1980 to 2013 from journal databases, primarily PubMed and Google scholar. The criteria used in the literature search show as tbllowing：（ 1 ） human; embryo; cryopreservation/freezing/vitrification, （2） human; oocyte/immature oocyte; cryopreservation/freezing/vitrification, （3） human; ovarian tissue transplantation; cryopreservation/ freezing/vitrification, （4） human; aneuploidy/DNA damage/epigenetic; cryopreservation/freezing/vitrification, and （5） human; fertility preservation; maternal age. Study selection： The risk ratios based on survival rate, maturation rate, fertilization rate, cleavage rate, implantation rate. pregnancy rate. and clinical risk rate were acquired from relevant meta-analysis studies. These studies included randomized controlled trials or studies with one of tile primary outcome measures covering cryopreservation of human mature oocytes, embryos, and ovarian tissues within the last 7 years （from 2006 to 2013. since the pregnancy rates of oocyte vitrification were significantly increased due to the improved techniques）. The data involving immature oocyte cryopreservation obtained from individual studies was also reviewed by the at, thors. Results： Vitrifications of mature oocytes and embryos obtained better clinical outcomes and did not increase the risks of DNA damage, spindle configuration, embryonic aneuploidy, and genomic imprinting as compared with fresh and slow-freezing procedures, respectively. Conclusions： Both embryo and oocyte vitrifications are safe applications in female fertility preservation.

Background It remains almost a helpless situation for the recurrent implantation failure and pregnancy loss caused by endometrial injury at present. The purpose of this study was to develop a rabbit model of endometrial mechanical injury that could provide a research platform for this difficult clinical predicament. Methods Three experiments were conducted. Experiment 1： Curettages in both uterus horns and copper wire inserting after curettage （double-injury） in one horn. The histological changes were monitored at 0, 24, 48, 72 hours, as well as in 1 and 2 weeks after operation. Experiment 2： Direct copper wire inserting in one horn and double-injury in other horn. The wires in both horns were removed after 2 weeks.

Background Sacral nerve injury is a common complication of pelvic or sacral fractures. As the sacral nerve courser within the sacrum and has a complex relationship with the surrounding tissues, different parts of the sacral plexus injury have similar clinical symptoms and signs. Since lack of specific imaging technique in the diagnosis of sacral nerve injury,especially on multi-segment, multi-site, how to determine the preoperative location and extent of the sacral nerve injury accurately becomes a concem of the general orthopaedic and images practitioners. This study was conducted to gain an insight into the overall anatomical features of the sacral nerve （SN） on the same slice in high resolution computed tomography （HRCT） reconstruction and to determine the value of this information for the clinical diagnosis of related *** Fifty healthy volunteers and 30 patients （40 sides） with SN lesions confirmed by surgery were scanned using a 16-slice helical CT scanner （light Speed, GE, USA）. Among the patients, 6 with intervertebral disk hernia （6 sides）, 8with spinal stenosis （12 sides）, 11 with pelvic trauma （14 sides）, 4 with pelvic malignancies （6 sides）, and 1 with sacral vertebral tuberculosis （2 sides）. The SN multiplanar reconstruction was performed using a UNIX-based SCD4.1workstation where the image was set on the same slice. All images were stored in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine format. The display of nerves in different sections was analyzed using a five-graded scale with coordinate curves of each individual score.
