Homeostasis of the skin barrier is essential for maintaining normal skin *** A(GSDMA)is highly expressed in the skin and associated with many skin diseases,such as melanoma and *** mice,GSDMA is encoded by three gene homologues,namely Gsdma1,Gsdma2,and *** Gsdma3 gain-of-function mutations cause hair loss and skin inflammation,Gsdma3-deficient mice do not show any visible phenotypes in skin and hair *** explore the physiological function of GSDMA,we generated conventional Gsdma1/2/3 knockout(KO)*** mice showed significantly alleviated epidermal hyperplasia and inflammation induced by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA).Furthermore,the alleviation of epidermal hyperplasia depended on the expression of Gsdma1/2/3 specifically in ***,Gsdma1/2/3 depletion downregulated epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)ligands,leading to the decreased EGFR–Stat3/Akt *** results demonstrate that depletion of Gsdma1/2/3 alleviates PMA-induced epidermal hyperplasia partially by inhibiting the EGFR–Stat3/Akt pathway.

Sequence stratigraphic concepts and methods provide novel tools for performing stratigraphic analysis, allowing us to improve our understanding of depositional models and basin evolution. Main controls and depositional elements(e.g., surfaces, systems tracts, parasequences, etc.) recognized in conventional sequence stratigraphy are designed for marine-related systems. In contrast, the sequence stratigraphy of lacustrine successions is much more complex and poorly understood, because it is not driven by sea-level changes, but by a complex interaction between tectonics and high-frequency climatic cycles. The comprehensive analysis of the water balance of lacustrine systems allows the recognition of three types of lake conditions: Underfilled, balanced-fill and overfilled lakes. Understanding the lake conditions in ancient successions is fundamental for unraveling lacustrine sequence stratigraphy, since these conditions effectively control water salinity, internal stacking pattern and the characteristics of systems tracts. Underfilled lakes are hydrologically closed lakes, and consequently, the lake-level can highly fluctuate, driven by high-frequency wet-dry climatic cycles. During wet periods, rivers supply water and sediments, resulting in fining-and thinning-upward elementary depositional sequences(EDS's) accumulated during the transgressive systems tract(TST). In contrast, dry periods are characterized by a relative lake-level fall with the subaerial exposure of lake margin areas during the regressive systems tract(RST). Lake water salinity can fluctuate from brackish to hypersaline. Balanced-fill lakes are partially closed lakes, and consequently, they have characteristics of both underfilled and overfilled lakes. During the TST, the lake is in underfilled condition, and consequently, the introduction of water and sediment will accumulate a fining-upward interval until reaching the spill point during the maximum flooding. The preparation of Pd-based catalysts with rich electrons and a high atom dispersion rate is of great significance for improving the reactivity of cross-coupling reactions,which is a powerful tool for pharmaceutical and fine chemical ***,we report a PdNi single-atom alloy(SAA)catalyst in which isolated Pd single atoms are anchored onto the surface of Ni nanoparticles(NPs)applied for Suzuki coupling reactions and Heck coupling *** 0.1%PdNi SAA exhibits extraordinary catalytic activity(reaction rate:17,032.25 mmol h^(-1)gPd^(-1))toward the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction between 4-bromoanisole and phenylboronic acid at 80℃for 1 *** excellent activity is supposed to attribute to the 100 percent utilization rate of Pd atoms and the highly stable surface zero-valance Pd atoms,which provides abundant sites and electrons for the adsorption and fracture of the C-X(X=Cl,Br,I)***,our work demonstrates the excellent application prospect of SAAs for cross-coupling reactions.

BACKGROUND Hepatitis is a systemic disease that often results in various ***-bolic disorders,the most common comorbidities in clinical practice,were selected for this *** To investigate the causal relationship between comorbidities and hepatitis trea-tment *** A total of 23583378 single nucleotide polymorphisms from 1248743 cases and related summaries of genome-wide association studies were obtained from online public databases.A two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)was performed to investigate causality between exposure[type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2D),hyperlipidemia,and hypertension]and outcome(chronic hepatitis B or C in-fections).RESULTS The data supported the causal relationship between comorbidities and hepatitis infections,which will affect the severity of hepatitis progression and will also provide a reference for clinical *** three exposures showed a link with progression of both hepatitis B(T2D,P=0.851;hyperlipidemia,P=0.596;and hypertension,P=0.346)and hepatitis C(T2D,P=0.298;hyperlipidemia,P=0.141;and hypertension,P=0.035).CONCLUSION The results of MR support a possible causal relationship between different ex-posures(T2D,hyperlipidemia,and hypertension)and chronic hepatitis progression;however,the potential mechanisms still need to be elucidated.

BACKGROUND Giant congenital biliary dilation(CBD)is a rare condition observed in clinical *** born with this condition often experience a poor overall health status,and the disease progresses rapidly,leading to severe biliary obstruction,infections,pressure exerted by the enlarged CBD on abdominal organs,disturbances in the internal environment,and multiple organ *** treatment of giant CBD using laparoscopy is challenging due to the high degree of variation in the shape of the bile duct and other organs,making it difficult to separate the bile duct wall from adjacent tissues or to control *** SUMMARY Herein,we present the details of an 11-d-old male newborn who was diagnosed with giant *** patient was admitted to the neonatal surgery department of our hospital due to a history of common bile duct cyst that was detected more than 3 mo ago,and also because the patient had been experiencing yellowish skin for the past 9 *** abnormal echo in the fetal abdomen was first noticed by the patient’s mother during a routine ultrasound examination at a local hospital,when the patient was at 24 wk+6 d of *** finding raised concerns about the possibility of congenital biliary dilatation(22 mm×21 mm).Subsequent ultrasound examinations at different hospitals consistently confirmed the presence of a congenital biliary *** specific treatment was administered for biliary dilatation during this period.A computed tomography scan conducted during the hospitalization revealed a large cystic mass in the right upper quadrant and pelvis,measuring approximately 9.2 cm×7.4 cm×11.3 *** on the CONCLUSION The analysis reveals that prenatal imaging techniques,such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging,play a crucial role in the early diagnosis,fetal prognosis,and treatment plan for giant *** surgery for giant CBD presents certain challenges,including difficulties in separating the cyst wall,anastomosis,and hemos

Peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation and photocatalysis are effective technologies to remove organic pollutants,but the adsorption effect of the catalyst is usually unheeded in degradation ***,a bifunctional catalyst of amorphous MoS_(x)(a-MoS_(x))with 3D layer-by-layer superstructure was synthesized by assembling basic active units[Mo_(3)S_(13)]^(2-)of MoS_(2).The large interlayer spacing and high exposure of active sites render a-MoS_(x)to have excellent synergy of adsorption and photo-assisted PMS activation for tetracycline(TC)*** and DFT calculation show that TC can be efficiently enriched on a-MoS_(x)by pore filling,π-πinteraction,hydrogen bonding and high adsorption ***,PMS can be quickly activated through electron transfer with a-MoS_(x),resulting in high TC degradation efficiency of 96.6%within 20 *** addition,the synergistic mechanism of adsorption and photo-assisted PMS activation was explored,and the degradation pathway of TC was *** work is inspirational for constructing bifunctional catalysts with superior synergistic adsorption and catalytic capabilities to remove refractory organic pollutants in water.
