The lattice dynamic and elastic instabilities of zincblende(ZB)thallium nitride(TlN)under hydrostatic pressure are extensively studied to reveal the physically driven mechanism of phase transition from the ZB to a rocksalt structure using pseudopotential plane-wave density functional calculations within the local density *** calculated results shows that both transverse acoustic phonon mode softening behavior and elastic instability are responsible for the pressure-induced structural phase transition in ZB TlN.

Fibroblast growth factor(FGF)7,a member of FGF family,is initially found to be secreted from mesenchymal cells to repair epithelial ***,its functions in the nervous system are largely *** present study showed that FGF7 was a neuromodulator localized in the large dense-core vesicles(LDCVs)in nociceptive ***7 was mainly expressed in small-diameter neurons of the dorsal root ganglion and could be transported to the dorsal spinal ***,FGF7 was mostly stored in LDCVs that did not contain neuropeptide substance *** recordings in the spinal cord slice showed that buffer-applied FGF7 increased the amplitude of excitatory post-synaptic current evoked by stimulating the sensory afferent *** tests showed that intrathecally applied FGF7 potentiated the formalin-induced acute nociceptive ***,both acute and inflammatory nociceptive responses were significantly reduced in Fgf7-deficient *** results suggest that FGF7 exerts an excitatory modulation of nociceptive afferent transmission.

Paclitaxel is a microtubule-targeting agent widely used for the treatment of many solid tumors. However, patients show variable sensitivity to this drug, and effective diagnostic tests predicting drug sensitivity remain to be investigated. Herein, we show that the expression of end-binding protein 1 （EB1）, a regulator of microtubule dynamics involved in multiple cellular activities, in breast tumor tissues correlates with the pathological response of tumors to paclitaxel-based chemotherapy. In vitro cell proliferation assays reveal that EB1 stimulates paclitaxel sensitivity in breast cancer cell lines. Our data further demonstrate that EB1 increases the activity of paclitaxel to cause mitotic arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells. In addition, microtubule binding affinity analysis and polymerization/ depolymerization assays show that EB1 enhances paclitaxel binding to microtubules and stimulates the ability of paclitaxel to promote microtubule assembly and stabilization. These findings thus reveal EB1 as a critical regulator of paclitaxel sensitivity and have important implications in breast cancer chemotherapy.

Herbal medicines, including traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs), have been used in Eastern countries for treating diseases such as cancer for thousands of years. With the growing knowledge of tumorigenesis and cancer therapy, some natural compounds have been developed as clinical anticancer drugs. In addition, many compounds and TCMs have been characterized as complementary and alternative treatments,with synergetic effects on enhancing the efficacy or reducing the side effects of the therapeutics. In this review, we summarized the recent studies focusing on the combination of natural compounds or TCM decoction with chemotherapeutics. The detailed mechanisms of action of the combinations and the application of analytical methods on TCM development are also discussed.

Multifactors have been reported to affect the gut microbiome, including genotype, age, diet, and ***, few reports have investigated the relative capacity of different factors to shape the gut microbiome in a single study. Our design used a genetic vitamin A-deficient mouse model, the Rbp4^(-/-)mouse,feeding with the low vitamin A diets at different ages of initiation(4 or 7 weeks) for 28 days. Fecal samples were collected for bacterial profiling at seven time points after diet controlling. With Rbp4 depletion,Akkermansia decreased and Bacteroides increased, whereas Desulfovibrio, Barnesiella, Clostridium_Xl Va,and Lactobacillus fluctuated. The bacterial community swiftly adjusted with the vitamin A-deficient diet administration and gradually changed(e.g., decrease of Barnesiella and increase of Desulfovibrio). Age exerted a relatively weaker but long-last influence. At an earlier age to feed a vitamin A-deficient diet, a higher microbial dysbiosis index will be valued. Of note, the shaping effects of diet and age on the bacterial community varied with the difference of genotype, which might indicate a greater role of genotype than diet and age in shaping the gut microbiome.

The effect of Sm（0 wt.%-2 wt.%） addition on the corrosion behavior of Mg-6Al-1.2Y-0.9Nd alloy in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution has been studied by static corrosion tests,corrosion morphology observation,corrosion scale and microstructure *** results show that,with the increasing of Sm content,the corrosion rate of the alloy decreases at first,then increases and reaches the valley at 0.5 wt.% *** reason is that the proper content of Sm addition can refine the precipitates and make the component and microstructure uniform,and therefore,it remarkably improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy.

Azole fungicides(AFs)play an important role in the prevention and treatment of fungal diseases in agricultural ***,limited studies are addressing the fate and ecological risk of AFs in the urban water cycle at a large watershed *** address this gap,we investigated the spatiotemporal distribution and ecological risk of twenty AFs in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River across four ***(CBA),tebuconazole(TBA),tricyclazole(TCA),and propiconazole(PPA)were found to be the dominant *** highest concentrations were measured in January(188.3 ng/L),and November(2197.1 ng/L),July(162.0 ng/L),and November(1801.9 ng/L),*** comparison between wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)effluents and surface water suggested that industrial WWTPs are major sources of AFs in the Yangtze *** particular,TBA and PPA were found to be the most recalcitrant AFs in industrial WWTPs,while difenoconazole(DFA)was found to be the most potent pollutant in municipal WWTPs,with an average removal rate of less than60%.The average risk quotient(RQ)for the entire AFs was 6.45 in the fall,which was higher than in January(0.98),April(0.61),and July(0.40).This indicates that AFs in surface water posed higher environmental risks during the dry ***,the exposure risk of AFs via drinking water for sensitive populations deserves more *** study provides benchmark data on the occurrence of AFs in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River,and offers suggestions for better reduction of AFs.
