DearEditor,Brain aging is associated with a decrease in cognitive function,which is often accompanied by defective changes in mitochondrial morphology and reduction in mitochondrial function(Faitg et al.,2021).The main function of mitochondria is to produce energy in the form of ATP,which is vital to fulfill high energy demand of neurons,mainly for synaptic processes(Lee et al.,2018).Mitochondrial dysfunction acts as a key factor for age-related cognitive decline(Grimm and Eckert,2017).

Snoring is a widespread occurrence that impacts human sleep quality.It is also one of the earliest symptoms of many sleep disorders.Snoring is accurately detected,making further screening and diagnosis of sleep problems easier.Snoring is frequently ignored because of its underrated and costly detection costs.As a result,this research offered an alternative method for snoring detection based on a long short-term memory based spiking neural network(LSTM-SNN) that is appropriate for large-scale home detection for snoring.We designed acquisition equipment to collect the sleep recordings of 54 subjects and constructed the sleep sound database in the home environment.And Mel frequency cepstral coefficients(MFCCs) were extracted from these sound signals and encoded into spike trains by a threshold encoding approach.They were classified automatically as non-snoring or snoring sounds by our LSTM-SNN model.We used the backpropagation algorithm based on an alternative gradient in the LSTM-SNN to complete the parameter update.The categorization percentage reached an impressive 93.4%,accompanied by a remarkable 36.9% reduction in computer power compared to the regular LSTM model.

The progression toward automated driving and the latest advancement in vehicular networking have led to novel and natural human-vehicle-road systems,in which affective human-vehicle interaction is a crucial factor affecting the acceptance,safety,comfort,and traffic efficiency of connected and automated vehicles(CAVs).This development has inspired increasing inter-est in how to develop affective interaction framework for intelligent cockpit in CAVs.To enable affective human-vehicle interactions in CAVs,knowledge from multiple research areas is needed,including automotive engineering,transportation engineering,human-machine interaction,computer science,communication,as well as industrial engineering.However,there is currently no systematic survey considering the close relationship between human-vehicle-road and human emotion in the human-vehicle-road coupling process in the CAV context.To facilitate progress in this area,this paper provides a comprehensive literature survey on emotion-related studies from multi-aspects for better design of affective interaction in intelligent cockpit for CAVs.This paper discusses the multimodal expression of human emotions,investigates the human emotion experiment in driving,and particularly emphasizes previous knowledge on human emotion detection,regulation,as well as their applications in CAVs.The promising research perspectives are outlined for researchers and engineers from different research areas to develop CAVs with better acceptance,safety,comfort,and enjoyment for users.

With the advantage of fast calculation and map resources on cloud control system(CCS), cloud-based predictive cruise control(CPCC) for heavy trucks has great potential to improve energy efficiency, which is significant to achieve the goal of national carbon neutrality. However, most investigations focus on the on-board predictive cruise control(PCC) system,lack of research on CPCC architecture under CCS. Besides, the current PCC algorithms have the problems of a single control target and high computational complexity, which hinders the improvement of the control effect. In this paper, a layered architecture based on CCS is proposed to effectively address the realtime computing of CPCC system and the deployment of its algorithm on vehicle-cloud. In addition, based on the dynamic programming principle and the proposed road point segmentation method(RPSM), a PCC algorithm is designed to optimize the speed and gear of heavy trucks with slope information. Simulation results show that the CPCC system can adaptively control vehicle driving through the slope prediction, with fuel-saving rate of 6.17% in comparison with the constant cruise control. Also,compared with other similar algorithms, the PCC algorithm can make the engine operate more in the efficient zone by cooperatively optimizing the gear and speed. Moreover, the RPSM algorithm can reconfigure the road in advance, with a 91% roadpoint reduction rate, significantly reducing algorithm complexity.Therefore, this study has essential research significance for the economic driving of heavy trucks and the promotion of the CPCC system.

The high content of aluminum(Al)impurity in the recycled cathode powder seriously affects the extraction efficiency of Nickel,Cobalt,Manganese,and lithium resources and the actual commercial value of recycled materials,so Al removal is crucially important to conform to the industrial standard of spent li-ion battery cathode materials.In this work,we systematically investigated the leaching process and optimum conditions associated with Al removal from the cathode powder materials collected in a wet cathode-powder peeling and recycling production line of spent li-ion batteries(liBs).Moreover,we specifically studied the leaching of fluorine(F)synergistically happened along with the removal process of Al,which was not concerned about in other studies,but one of the key factors affecting pollution prevention in the recovery process.The mechanism of the whole process including the leaching of Al and F from the cathode powder was indicated by using NMR,FTIR,and XPS,and a defluoridation process was preliminarily investigated in this study.The leaching kinetics of Al could be successfully described by the shrinking core model,controlled by the diffusion process and the activation energy was 11.14 kJ/mol.While,the leaching of F was attributed to the dissolution of liPF6and decomposition of PVDF,and the kinetics associated was described by Avrami model.The interaction of Al and F is advantageous to realize the defluoridation to some degree.It is expected that our investigation will provide theoretical support for the large-scale recycling of spent liBs.

li metal batteries（LMBs） have attracted much attention due to the ultra-high theoretical capacity of the li metal anode（LMA）.However,the uncontrollable dendrites growth and low coulombic efficiency hinder their practical application.Here,we explore 3,5-difluoropyridine（2F-BD） as a novel electrolyte additive to enable highperformance LMBs.The 2F-BD additive participates in and modifies the solvation structure of li ions by reducing the coordinated number of PF6-at the electrode surface,leading to the formation of a liF and li3N-rich solid electrolyte interphase（SEI）.The liF component increases the robustness of SEI and suppresses the formation of li dendrites,while the li3N component facilitates the transportation and reaction kinetics of li ions.As a result,the li‖li symmetric cell presents a stable cycling performance of up to 500 h at a current density of 1 mA cm-2.After coupling with liFePO4cathode,the obtained full cell achieves high specific capacities of 106.06 mA h g-1and 84.98 mA h g-1at 2.55 mA cm-2and 5.10 mA cm-2,respectively,and maintains a high capacity retention of84.0% after 1000 cycles at 0.13 mA cm-2,with an average cycling CE of 99.58%.

In this paper, the platoon control problem of autonomous vehicles in highway is studied. Since the autonomous vehicles have the characteristics of nonlinearities, external disturbances and strong coupling, a novel adaptive fuzzy sliding coordinated control system is constructed to supervise the longitudinal and lateral motions of autonomous vehicles, in which the fuzzy system is employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. Due to the low sensitivity to disturbances and plant parameter variations, the proposed control approach is an efficient way to handle with the complex dynamic plants operating under un-certainty conditions. The asymptotic stability of adaptive coordinated platoon close-loop control system is verified based on the Lyapunov stability theory. The results indicate that the presented adaptive coordinated platoon control approach can accurately achieve the tracking performance and ensures the stability and riding comfort of autonomous vehicles in a platoon. Finally,simulation test is exploited to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.

In this paper,the car-following control problem of nonholonomic autonomous electric vehicles in the curved highway is studied.Owing to the fact that the nonholonomic autonomous electric vehicles have the features of strong coupling,parametric uncertainties,nonlinearities and external disturbances,a novel integrated adaptive car-following control system is constructed to supervise the longitudinal and lateral motions of vehicles.Firstly,an adaptive fuzzy dynamic surface car-following control strategy is presented to determine a vector of total forces and torque of autonomous electric vehicles,which can guarantee the uniform ultimate boundedness of close-loop control signals.Then,an optimal tire forces distribution law is proposed to dynamically allocate the desired coupled tire longitudinal and lateral forces in real-time.Finally,simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed car-following control approach.

Side reactions and dendrite growth triggered by the unstable interface and inhomogeneous deposition have become the biggest obstacle to the commercialization for lithium metal batteries.In this study,a highly-chlorinated organic-inorganic hybrid interfacial protective layer is developed by rationally tuning the interfacial passivation and robustness to achieve the convenient and efficient li metal anode.The polyvinyl chloride(PVC)can effectively resist water and oxygen,which is confirmed by density functional theory.The organic-dominant solid electrolyte interphases(SEI)with lithium chloride are investigated by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)with little mineralization of oxide,such as li_(2)O and li_(2)CO_(3).With such artificial SEI,a uniform and dense lithium deposition morphology are formed and an ultra-long stable cycle of over 500 h are achieved even at an ultra-high current density of 10 m A/cm^(2).Moreover,the simple and convenient protected anode also exhibits excellent battery stability when paired with the liNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)and liFePO_(4)(LFP)cathode,showing great potential for the commercial application of lithium metal batteries.

Although lithium-sulfur batteries（LSBs） exhibit high theoretical energy density,their practical application is hindered by poor conductivity of the sulfur cathode,the shuttle effect,and the irreversible deposition of li2S.To address these issues,a novel composite,using electrospinning technology,consisting of Fe3Se4and porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers was designed for the interlayer of LSBs.The porous carbon nanofiber structure facilitates the transport of ions and electrons,while the Fe3Se4material adsorbs lithium polysulfides（liPSs） and accelerates its catalytic conversion process.Furthermore,the Fe3Se4material interacts with soluble liPSs to generate a new polysulfide intermediate,lixFeSycomplex,which changes the electrochemical reaction pathway and facilitates the three-dimensional deposition of li2S,enhancing the reversibility of LSBs.The designed LSB demonstrates a high specific capacity of1529.6 mA h g-1in the first cycle at 0.2 C.The rate performance is also excellent,maintaining an ultra-high specific capacity of 779.7 mA h g-1at a high rate of 8 C.This investigation explores the mechanism of the interaction between the interlayer and liPSs,and provides a new strategy to regulate the reaction kinetics and li2S deposition in LSBs.
