Quartz luminescence dating of a centennial coastal foredune from Changle in Fujian Province,East china Sea

The Aeolian foredunes in the southern coast of{1. are records of paleoenvironmental changes for marine monsoon region. Intensive studies have been conducted to decipher their formation and paleoenvironmental implications in which chronology played a key role. However, robust dating results are still limited due to the scarcity of organic materials for radiocarbon and the limited application of quartz optically stimulated luminescence(OSL). Here, we collected 1. OSL samples and 1.0 grainsize samples from the Changle section with a thickness of 7 m from a coastal foredune in Fujian Province. The dating results indicated that the section spanned a time period from 0.32±0.04 ka(depth of 700 cm) to 0.1.±0.02 ka(depth of 80 cm), after removal of age outliers. According to the OSL ages and sedimentary structural characteristics, the section could be divided into two stages, i.e. the stable accumulation period with an age range of 0.32-0.1. ka from the depth of 700 cm to 80 cm, and the activation period above the depth of 60 cm, at which the dune erosion was retained. The foredune development due to increased transport of dune sediment at the top part of the section was the result of recent human *** the foredunes, normal cross-bedding was generated by seasonal changes in wind *** changes in the wind direction were the primary cause for various sedimentary bedding within the dunes.

In this study,we systematically investigated the two-proton(2p)radioactivity half-lives from the excited state of nuclei near the proton drip line within the Gamowlike model(GLM)and modified Gamow-like model(MGLM).The calculated results were highly consistent with the theoretical values obtained using the unified fission model[***.C 45,1.41.5(2021.],effective liquid drop model,and generalized liquid drop model[Acta *** 71.062301.2022)].Furthermore,utilizing the GLM and MGLM,we predicted the 2p radioactivity halflives from the excited state for some nuclei that are not yet available ***,by analyzing the calculated results from these theoretical models,it was found that the half-lives are strongly dependent on Qand l.

Silver indium cadmium(Ag–In–Cd) control rod is widely used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants,and it is continuously consumed in a high neutron flux environment. The mass ratio of ^(1.7)Ag in the Ag–In–Cd control rod is 41.44%. To accurately calculate the consumption value of the control rod, a reliable neutron reaction cross section of the ^(1.7)Ag is required. Meanwhile,^(1.7)Ag is also an important weak r nucleus. Thus, the cross sections for neutron induced interactions with ^(1.7)Ag are very important both in nuclear energy and nuclear astrophysics. The(n, γ) cross section of ^(1.7)Ag has been measured in the energy range of 1.60 eV using a back streaming white neutron beam line at china spallation neutron source. The resonance parameters are extracted by an R-matrix code. All the cross section of ^(1.7)Ag and resonance parameters are given in this paper as datasets. The Monitoring Analysis for the Drought in china by Using an Improved MPI Method

MPI （microwave polarization index） method can use different frequencies at vertical polarization to retrieve soil moisture from TMI （tropical microwave imager） data, which is mainly suitable for bare soil. This paper makes an improvement for MPI method which makes it suitable for surface covered by vegetation. The MPI by using single frequency at different polarizations is used to discriminate the bare soil and vegetation which overcomes the difficulty in previous algorithms by using optical remote sensing data, and then the revision is made according to the different land surface types. The validation by using ground measurement data indicates that revision for different land surface types can improve the retrieval accuracy. The average error is about 24.5% by using the ground truth data obtained from ground observation stations, and the retrieval error is about 1..7% after making a revision by using ground measurement data from local observation stations for different surface types. The improved MPI method and precipitation are used to analyze the drought in Southwest{1., and the analysis indicates the soil moisture retrieved by improved MPI method can be used to monitor the drought.

Effects of a non-selective TRPC channel blocker, SKF-96365, on melittin-induced spontaneous persistent nociception and inflammatory pain hypersensitivity

Objective Melittin is the main peptide in bee venom and causes both persistent spontaneous nociception and pain hypersensitivity. Our recent studies indicated that both transient receptor potential （TRP） vanilloid receptor 1 （TRPV 1） and canonical TRPs （TRPCs） are involved in mediating the melittin-induced activation of different subpopulations of pri- mary nociceptive cells. Here, we further determined whether TRPC channels are involved in melittin-induced inflamma- tory nociceptive responses in behavioral assays. Methods The anti-nociceptive and anti-hyperalgesic effects of localized peripheral administration of three doses of the non-selective TRPC antagonist, SKF-96365 （1-{[3-[3-（4-methoxyphenyl） propoxy]-4-methoxyphenyl}-lH-imidazole hydrochloride）, were evaluated in melittin tests. Pain-related behaviors were rated by counting the number of paw flinches, and measuring paw withdrawal thermal latency （s） and paw withdrawl me- chanical threshold （g）, over a l-h time-course. Results Localized peripheral SKF-96365 given before melittin prevented, and given after melittin significantly suppressed, the melittin-evoked persistent spontaneous nociception. Pre-blockade and post-suppression of activation of primary nociceptive activity resulted in decreased hypersensitivity to both thermal and mechanical stimuli applied to the primary injury site of the ipsilateral hindpaw, despite dose-effect differences between thermal and mechanical hyperalgesia. However, local administration of SKF-96365 into the contralateral hindpaw had no significant effect on any pain-associated behaviors. In addition, SKF-96365 had no effect on baseline threshold for either thermal or mechanical sensitivity under normal conditions. Conclusion Besides TRPV1, SKF-96365-sensitive TRPC channels might also be involved in the pathophysiological processing of melittin-induced inflammatory pain and hyper- sensitivity.
