The employment of lithium metal anode in rechargeable lithium batteries has been hindered by the safety concerns which are associated with the uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth and the unceasing side reactions with liquid *** this work,we report that the use of Ti-containing solid electrolyte-coated separators can greatly enhance the cycle performances of lithium metal anode in cells using liquid *** detailed morphologic studies indicate that more uniform lithium deposition is achieved in cells using Ti-containing solid electrolyte-coated separators than that using Al_(2)O_(3)-coated separators,which is likely due to the modified anode and electrolyte interfacial properties induced by the reactive nature of Ti-containing solid electrolytes with metallic *** work demonstrates an effective strategy to enhance the homogeneity of lithium deposition,which leads to the stable cycling of lithium metal anode in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

Seedlessness in grape(Vitis vinifera)is an important commercial trait for both the fresh and drying ***,despite numerous studies,the mechanisms and key genes regulating grape seedlessness are mostly *** this study,we sequenced the genomes of the *** seeded cultivar‘Red Globe’,the seedless cultivar‘Centennial Seedless’,and the derived *** single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)were identified by genome sequencing and analyzed using published transcriptome *** SNPs occurred in genes related to seed development,which were identified as protein kinases,transcription factors,and cytochrome P450 s and showed differential expression during ovule development in both seeded and seedless *** nonsynonymous SNP-associated genes were mainly involved in biological processes such as hormone balance,seed coat and endosperm development,reproductive organ development,oxidation and reduction,senescence and cell death.A potential quantitative trait locus(QTL)region associated with seed size was characterized based on the SNP-index,and expression analysis of candidate genes in the QTL region during ovule development in multiple seeded and seedless grape cultivars were *** SNPs were further subjected to SNa Pshot analysis and one SNP in G8 showed 67.5%efficiency in the grape progeny ***,the data obtained in this study shed light on the differences in seed development between seeded and seedless progeny at the genomic level,which provides valuable resources for future functional studies and grape breeding.

The exploration of low-cost and high-performance transition metal oxides/carbon(TMOs/C)-based anodes to replace commercial graphite is still a huge challenge for the development of lithium-ion batteries(liBs).In this work,MnO@N-doped hollow carbon nanotubes(MnO@NHCNT-v,v refers to the adding volume of pyrrole)hybrids are successfully prepared by a facile selftemplate strategy using Mn3O4 nanotubes(Mn3O4 NT)and pyrrole(PY)as the *** morphology,structure and composition of these MnO@NHCNT-v samples are systematically *** the effect of PY adding amounts on the synthesis of MnO@NHCNT-v samples is also *** results show that the Mn_(3)O_(4) NT works as a self-template,which releases Mn3+and guides the growth of polypyrrole(PPY)on Mn_(3)O_(4) ***,it is demonstrated that the synthesis of MnO@NHCNTv hybrids can be well regulated by the added PY *** a result,MnO@NHCNT-1 hybrid not only makes a good balance on the proportion of MnO and carbon matrix but also simultaneously obtains unique peapod-like structure and successful N doping in NHCNT,resulting in good electrical contact between the two components,enhanced chemical binding by Mn-N-C bonds and enough void space inside its *** from these merits,the resulting MnO@NHCNT-1 hybrid exhibits outstanding cycling stability and rate capability when used as a liBs *** work offers a good guidance on the design and preparation of low-price and high-performance TMOs/C-based liBs anodes.

Importance: Understanding the significance of motor skills in promoting physical fitness (PF) can offer valuable insights for devising comprehensive intervention and clinical rehabilitation programs for children with global developmental delay (GDD). However, it remains unclear whether fundamental motor skills (FMS) can improve the PF of children with ***: To investigate the correlation between FMS and PF in children with ***: A total of 180 children with GDD and 180 typically developing (TD) children aged 3-5 years were selected. All participants completed the Gesell Developmental Schedule, FMS, and PF tests at Beijing Children’s Hospital between September 2022 and August 2023. Partial correlation and regression analyses were performed to examine the relationship between FMS and ***: Children with GDD had significantly lower FMS and PF scores compared to TD children (P 0.05). A more severe developmental delay was associated with lower FMS and PF scores. The correlation coefficients between individual FMS items and individual PF items, as well as the total PF score, ranged from 0.20 to 0.56. Regression analysis indicated that manual dexterity (β = 0.241,P = 0.029) and body balance (β = 0.399,P = 0.001) significantly predicted the total PF ***: In children with GDD, both FMS and PF are underdeveloped. Focusing on motor skills development is vital for promoting their PF.

We experimentally demonstrate an In P-based hybrid integration of a single-mode DFB laser emitting at around 1310 nm and a tunneling diode. The evident negative differential resistance regions are obtained in both electrical and optical output characteristics. The electrical and optical bistabilities controlled by the voltage through the tunneling diode are also measured. When the voltage changes between 1.46 V and 1.66 V, a 200-mV-wide hysteresis loop and an optical power ON/OFF ratio of 17 dB are obtained. A side-mode suppression ratio of the integrated device in the ON state is up to 43 dB. The tunneling diode can switch on/off the laser within a very small voltage range compared with that directly controlled by a voltage source.

Generalized Extreme Value-Pareto Distribution Function and Its Applications in Ocean Engineering

In this paper, we establish a generalized extreme Value-Pareto distribution model and derive an analytical expression of Weibull–Pareto distribution model. Based on a data sample of 26-year wave height, we adopt the new model to estimate the design wave height for 500, 700 and 1000-year return periods. Results show that the design wave height from Weibull–Pareto distribution is between that of the Weibull distribution and that of the Pearson-Ⅲ *** the 500-year return period design wave height, the results from the new model is 1.601% lower than those from the Weibull distribution and 1.319% higher than those from the Pearson-Ⅲ distribution. The Weibull–Pareto distribution innovatively considers the fractal features, extreme-value statistics and the truncated data in the derivation process. Therefore, it is a more holistic and practical model for estimating the design parameters in marine and coastal environments.

Effects of Central Administration of Glutamine and Alanine on Feed Intake and Hypothalamic Expression of Orexigenic and Anorexigenic Neuropetides in Broiler Chicks

Different amino acids have been shown to affect feed intake when injected directly into the central nervous system of birds. In the present study, we investigated the effects of L-glutamine and L-alanine on feed intake and the mRNA expression levels of hypothalamic neuropeptides involved in feed intake regulation in broiler chicks. L-Glutamine or L- alanine was intra-cerebroventricularly （ICV） administered to 4-d-old broiler chicks and the feed intake were recorded at various time points. Quantitative PCR was performed to determine the hypothalamic mRNA expression levels of neuropeptide Y （NPY）, agouti related protein （AgRP）, pro-opiomelanocortin （POMC）, melanocortin receptor 4 （MC4R） and corticotropin releasing factor （CRF）. Our results showed that ICV administration of L-glutamine （0.55 or 5.5 pmol） significantly increased feed intake up to 2 h post-administration period and the hypothalamic NPY mRNA expression levels, while it markedly decreased hypothalamic POMC and CRF mRNA expression levels. In contrast, ICV administration of L-alanine （4 lamol） significantly decreased feed intake for the first 0.5 h post-administration period, and reduced the hypothalamic AgRP mRNA expression levels, while it remarkablely enhanced the mRNA expression levels of MC4R and CRF. These findings suggested that L-glutamine and L-alanine could act within the hypothalamus to influence feed intake in broiler chicks, and that both orexigenic and anorexigenic neuropeptide genes might contribute directly to these effects.

To overcome ampicillin-resistance of bacteria which is believed to attribute their endogenous B-lactamase, we designed three 10-23 DNAzymes（Dz1, Dz2. Dz3） targeting the coding region of B-lactamase mRNA and examined their inhibitory capabilities of the ampicillin-resistance of TEM-1 and TEM-3 bacteria. Dz1 was a traditional 10-23 DNAzyme, Dz2 was the mutant of Dz1 by addition of the protected nucleotide to each ann of the enzyme, and Dz3 was a mutant of Dz1 at antisense arms of which phosphorothioate modifications were made. Kinetic analysis, bacterial growth, and β-lactamase activity measurement showed that all the three DNAzymes worked efficiently in vitro and in vivo. A 9 hours bacterial growth inhibition test showed that the inhibition rates of TEM-1 bacteria by Dz1, Dz2, and Dz3 were 27%, 50%, and 29%, respectively. In addition, the inhibition rates of TEM-3 bacteria by those three DNAzymes were found io be 49%, 58%, and 45%, respectively. The current findings suggest that DNAzymes may become potential candidates of alternative inhibitors for bacteria drug-resistance.
