The global spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.SARS-CoV-2.requires an urgent need to find effective therapeutics for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2.19(COVID-19).In this study,we developed an integrative drug repositioning framework,which fully takes advantage of machine learning and statistical analysis approaches to systematically integrate and mine large-scale knowledge graph,literature and transcriptome data to discover the potential drug candidates against *** in silico screening followed by wet-lab validation indicated that a poly-ADP-ribose polymerase 1(PARP1)inhibitor,CVL2.8,currently in Phase I clinical trial,may be repurposed to treat *** in vitro assays revealed that CVL2.8 can exhibit effective inhibitory activity against SARS-CoV-2.replication without obvious cytopathic *** addition,we showed that CVL2.8 can interact with the nucleocapsid(N)protein of SARS-CoV-2.and is able to suppress the LPS-induced production of several inflammatory cytokines that are highly relevant to the prevention of immunopathology induced by SARS-CoV-2.infection.

Background:Until January 18,2.2.,coronavirus disease-2.19(COVID-19)has infected more than 93 million individuals and has caused a certain degree of *** pneumonia caused by common viruses such as respiratory syncytial virus,rhinovirus,human metapneumovirus,human bocavirus,and parainfluenza viruses have been more common in ***,the incidence of COVID-19 in children was significantly lower than that in *** purpose of this study was to describe the clinical manifestations,treatment and outcomes of COVID-19 in children compared with those of other sources of viral pneumonia diagnosed during the COVID-19 ***:Children with COVID-19 and viral pneumonia admitted to 2. hospitals were enrolled in this retrospective multi-center cohort study.A total of 64 children with COVID-19 were defined as the COVID-19 cohort,of which 40 children who developed pneumonia were defined as the COVID-19 pneumonia *** 2.4 children with pneumonia caused by other viruses were defined as the viral pneumonia *** epidemiologic,clinical,and laboratory findings were compared by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test,t-test,Mann-Whitney U test and Contingency table *** usage,immunotherapy,blood transfusion,and need for oxygen support were collected as the treatment ***,intensive care needs and symptomatic duration were collected as the outcome ***:Compared with the viral pneumonia cohort,children in the COVID-19 cohort were mostly exposed to family members confirmed to have COVID-19(53/64 vs.2./2.4),were of older median age(6.3 years vs.3.2.years),and had a higher proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO)on computed tomography(18/40 vs.0/38,P1).Children in the COVID-19 pneumonia cohort had a lower proportion of severe cases(1/40 vs.38/2.4,P=0.048),and lower cases with high fever(3/40 vs.167/2.4,P1),requiring intensive care(1/40 vs.32.2.4,P1).The propor

Theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic rays(CRs)accelerated by the shock of supernova remnant(SNR)W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region,***,the maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains *** on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),we report a significant detection ofγrays emanating from the W51 complex,with energies from 2.to 2.0 *** LHAASO measurements,for the first time,extend theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of *** combining the"π^(0)-decay bump"featured data from Fermi-LAT,the broadbandγ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by a simple pp-collision *** observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at~400 TeV or a power-law break at~2.0 TeV in the CR proton spectrum,most likely providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV ***,two young star clusters within W51B could also be theoretically viable to produce the most energeticγrays observed by *** findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs.

Background:Human noroviruses are a major cause of viral gastroenteritis and are the main etiological agents of acute gastroenteritis *** increasing number of outbreaks and sporadic cases of norovirus have been reported in china in recent *** was a large acute gastroenteritis outbreak at a university in Henan Province,china in the past five *** want to identify the source,transmission routes of the outbreak by epidemiological investigation and laboratory testing in order to provide the effective control ***:The clinical cases were investigated,and analysed by descriptive epidemiological methods according to factors such as time,department,grade and so *** were collected from clinical cases,healthy persons,the environment,water,and food at the *** samples were tested for potential bacteria and *** samples that tested positive for norovirus were selected for whole genome sequencing and the sequences were then ***:From 4 March to 3 April 2.15,a total of 753 acute diarrhoea cases were reported at the university;the attack rate was 3.2.%.The epidemic curve showed two peaks,with the main peak occurring between 10 and 2. March,accounting for 85.2.%of reported *** rates of norovirus detection in samples from confirmed cases,people without symptoms,and environmental samples were 32.72.,17.39%,and 9.17%,*** phylogenetic analysis showed that the norovirus belonged to the genotype ***:This is the largest and most severe outbreak caused by genotype GII.17 norovirus in recent years in *** GII.17 viruses displayed high epidemic activity and have become a dominant strain in china since the winter of 2.14,having replaced the previously dominant GII.4 Sydney 2.12.strain.

Domesticated buffaloes have been integral to rice-paddy agro-ecosystems for millennia, yet relatively little is known about the buffalo genomics. Here, we sequenced and assembled reference genomes for both swamp and river buffaloes and we re-sequenced 2.0 individuals(132.swamp buffaloes and 98 river buffaloes)sampled from across Asia and Europe. Beyond the many actionable insights that our study revealed about the domestication, basic physiology and breeding of buffalo, we made the striking discovery that the divergent domestication traits between swamp and river buffaloes can be explained with recent selections of genes on social behavior, digestion metabolism, strengths and milk production.

Dear Editor： Gao et al. published data in Nature Biotechnology （Nat Biotechnol. {2.6 May 2. showing that DNA-guided genome editing using the Natronobacterium gregoryi Argonaute （NgAgo） protein targeted 47 mammalian genomic loci with a 100% success rate and an efficiency of 2..3%-41.3% at various targets. This report led us to test NgAgo＇s utility in various cells and organisms such as mouse and zebrafish for gene editing.

近海海洋大气边界层是陆海气相互作用的特殊区域,发展近海海洋边界层大气污染立体探测技术、获取海洋大气边界层内主要污染成分及关键气象参数的高精度垂直探测信息,对于提高陆地、海洋和大气中的污染来源、化学机制和传输过程认识、提高沿海地区大气环境与气象预报的准确性具有重要意义。针对近海海洋边界层大气污染综合立体探测技术,总结了近年来在国家重点研发计划支持下我国在近海海洋大气探测设备研发、关键技术发展和近海大气污染形成机制研究等方面的进展。当前我国已发展了包括海洋大气廓线激光雷达、湍流交换测量、海气通量观测、海洋气溶胶探测设备等一系列近海海洋边界层探测技术,解决了沿海海洋地区恶劣环境条件造成的技术瓶颈,并基于这些探测设备与技术开展了大量近海海洋大气污染研究。技术与设备的发展完善了我国近海海洋地区边界层大气污染立体监测技术体系与能力,对我国东部沿海区域大气污染防治有积极支撑作用。

Visual recognition is currently one of the most important and active research areas in computer vision,pattern recognition,and even the general field of artificial *** has great fundamental importance and strong industrial needs,particularly the modern deep neural networks(DNNs)and some brain-inspired methodologies,have largely boosted the recognition performance on many concrete tasks,with the help of large amounts of training data and new powerful computation *** recognition accuracy is usually the first concern for new progresses,efficiency is actually rather important and sometimes critical for both academic research and industrial ***,insightful views on the opportunities and challenges of efficiency are also highly required for the entire *** general surveys on the efficiency issue have been done from various perspectives,as far as we are aware,scarcely any of them focused on visual recognition systematically,and thus it is unclear which progresses are applicable to it and what else should be *** this survey,we present the review of recent advances with our suggestions on the new possible directions towards improving the efficiency of DNN-related and brain-inspired visual recognition approaches,including efficient network compression and dynamic brain-inspired *** investigate not only from the model but also from the data point of view(which is not the case in existing surveys)and focus on four typical data types(images,video,points,and events).This survey attempts to provide a systematic summary via a comprehensive survey that can serve as a valuable reference and inspire both researchers and practitioners working on visual recognition problems.

Recently, Worobey et al.(2.2.) published a report entitled ‘The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in wuhan was the early epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic’ that succinctly summarizes their study [1]. A pre-print version of this study had earlier elicited a series of highprofile media coverages [2.3]. All these reports deliver a social-political message that the Huanan market is the epicenter of COVID-19.
