Nanoelectrodes have been shown to be powerful tools for nanoscopic research on single entities,deepening the understanding of heterogeneity and stochastics for single molecules,nanoparticles and cells[1–3].However,despite their importance,current nanoelectrode preparations are highly restrained to flame/electrochemical etching,metal sputtering,electrochemical deposition,etc.[3],resulting in a limited range of materials(mainly gold,platinum and carbon)for potential-resolved detection of redox-active species(Table S1 online).The enrichment of preparation methods to introduce novel materials and mechanisms should prove significant for the development of nanoelectrodes.

Calcium-ion batteries(CIBs)have generated intense interest due to the growing demand for safer,cheaper,and large-scale energy storage ***,their development is still in its infancy,owing to the lack of suitable cathodes for sustaining reversiblc Ca^(2+)intercalation/***,layered H_(2)V_(3)O_(8)(HVO)with Zn^(2+)pre-insertion(ZHVO)is reported as a high-rate and highly durable cathode material for *** existence of Zn^(2+)and H_(2)O pillars could expand the interlayer spacing up to 1.8 nm,which is favorable for the diffusion of bulky Ca^(2+).The formation of Zn-O bonds facilitates electron transfer and enhances electrical ***,the ZHVO cathode achieves superior capacity performance(213.9 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.2 A·g^(-1))and long lifespan(78.3%for 1,000 cycles at 5 A·g^(-1))compared to pristine *** functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed that Zn^(2+)moved during Ca^(2+)intercalation,thereby reducing the diffusion energy barrier and facilitating Ca^(2+)***,a safe aqueous calcium ion cell was successfully assembled.

The planar-chiral ligands have been widely applied as a class of unique and significant ligands in asymmetric *** them,chiral[2.2]paracycyclophane has emerged as a privileged type of planar-chiral framework and has been utilized as an important toolbox due to their structural ***,we design and synthesize[2.2]paracyclophane-derived oxazole-pyrimidine ligands(abberviated as PYMCOX).These N,N-ligands with stable properties,rigid structure and large steric hindrance performed successfully in nickel-catalyzed asymmetric 1,2-reduction ofα,β-unsaturated ketones,affording the chiral allylic alcohols with up to 99%yield and 99%***,this reduction reaction could be conducted on gram-scale without loss of activity and enantioselectivity,and the chiral ligand could be conveniently recovered with high yield.

Understanding the structural changes and degradation mechanisms of organic pollutants is critical in environmental *** this work, a xenon lamp was used as an analog light source to simulate the eff ect of sunlight on 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF) in aqueous solution. Combining high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS), surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with density functional theory (DFT), the degradation intermediates and mechanisms of DAAF were investigated. The sequential breakdown of the–NH 2and–O–N=bonds, followed by the removal of atomic O from–N=N(O)–, was emphasized and investigated using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) and SERS spectra. Three intermediates with mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) 181, 251 and180 were identifi ed and characterized by integrating experimental SERS data with DFT-calculated Raman spectra based on structures hypothesized from MS spectra. The fi ndings from HPLC–MS and SERS not only corroborate each other but also provide a foundation for a detailed examination of the DAAF degradation process.

DNA methylation plays a crucial role in environmental ***,using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing,we generated comprehensive genome-wide DNA methylation profiles for the high-altitude Yunnan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus bieti)and the closely related golden snub-nosed monkey(***).Our findings indicated a slight increase in overall DNA methylation levels in golden snub-nosed monkeys compared to Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys,suggesting a higher prevalence of hypermethylated genomic regions in the *** genomic methylation analysis demonstrated that genes associated with differentially methylated regions were involved in membrane fusion,vesicular formation and trafficking,hemoglobin function,cell cycle regulation,and neuronal *** results suggest that the high-altitude-related epigenetic modifications are extensive,involving a complete adaptation process from the inhibition of single Ca^(2+)channel proteins to multiple proteins collaboratively enhancing vesicular function or inhibiting cell differentiation and *** assays demonstrated that overexpression or down-regulation of candidate genes,such as SNX10,TIMELESS,and CACYBP,influenced cell viability under stress ***,this research suggests that comparing DNA methylation across closely related species can identify novel candidate genomic regions and genes associated with local adaptations,thereby deepening our understanding of the mechanisms underlying environmental adaptations.

AIM:To investigate the clinical characteristics,treatment methods and outcomes of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)in highly myopic eyes with implantable collamer lens(ICL).METHODS:High myopia patients who received treatment for nontraumatic RRD after ICL implantation surgery at the Retinal Department of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center from Jan 2018 to Dec 2022 were *** ophthalmologic examinations including visual acuity measurement and digital fundus photography were performed in each ***:A total of nine RRD eyes from nine patients who received V4c-ICL implantation were *** mean time from ICL implantation surgery to the diagnosis of RRD was 32.44±22.56mo(range,1-60mo).At the initial visit for RRD,giant retinal tear(GRT),horseshoe tear,simple round hole,and horseshoe tear combined with round hole were detected in 3,3,2,and 1 eye(s),respectively,with maculaoff in *** patients received surgical treatment,and one patient was treated by retinal laser photocoagulation *** ICL was preserved in 7 *** the last followup,the mean best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)improved significantly from 1.76±1.06 logMAR at presentation to 0.81±1.01 logMAR(P=0.035),and no case of recurrent retinal detachment was ***:The morphological presentation of retinal breaks is diverse in this *** ICL can be preserved in most cases during the course of retinal detachment repair surgery in our data,companied with acceptable visual and anatomical outcomes.

Cu_(2)Te-based materials are a type of superionic conductor belonging to the class of phonon-liquid elec-tron-crystal materials and have achieved high ZT values by doping and ***,it is easy to form copper vacancies in Cu_(2)Te which leads to an excessive carrier concentration and then results in a low Seebeck ***,controlling copper ion migration and optimizing carrier concen-tration is essential to improve the thermoelectric performance of Cu_(2)*** paper reports high-performance Cu_(2)TeeAg_(2)Te composite with high application value in the low-middle temperature re-gion,which is achieved by fine tuning the carrier concentration using Fe addition and non-stoichiometric Te,as well as controlling the thermal conductivity of composite.A high ZT of~1.2 is obtained in AgCu_(0.97)Fe_(0.03)Te_(0.96)at a low temperature of 573 ***,the phase transition mechanism of Cu_(2)TeeAg_(2)Te and its effect on the thermoelectric transport performance are revealed that go beyond nanostructuring and single-doping,which provides a strong theoretical basis for research and perfor-mance improvement of thermoelectric materials in this system.

Nitrogen(N)priming is a microbially mediated biochemical process as affected by different incorporation ***,little information is known about the microbial mechanisms driving the response of N priming to co-operation of Chinese milk vetch(CMV,Astragalus sinicus L.)and different rates of chemical fertilizers in paddy soils in South ***,an anaerobic incubation experiment was conducted to study N priming effects(PE)and their relationships with soil microbial functional genes after CMV incorporation alone(M),co-incorporation of CMV with 100%(normal dosage)chemical fertilizers(MC100),and co-incorporation of CMV with 80% chemical fertilizers(MC80).Co-incorporation of CMV and chemical fertilizers enhanced the short-time scale(the first 20 d of incubation)positive PE of N,while no significant differences existed among the three treatments on day 60 or 90 of incubation(P>0.05).Compared with the M treatment,gross priming effect(GPE)in the MC100 and MC80 treatments significantly increased by 34.0% and 31.3%,respectively,and net priming effect(NPE)increased by 47.7% and 47.8%,respectively,during the first 20 d of incubation(Plikely attributed to soil nutrient availability and added substrate *** MC100 and MC80 treatments increased the gdhA gene abundance by 5.0% and 9.8%,increased the gdh2 gene abundance by 12.7% and 45.7%,and increased the nasB gene abundance by 9.5% and 41.4%,respectively,in comparison with the M treatment on day 20 of *** analyses indicated that soil microbial functional genes involved in N mineralization(gdhA and gdh2),assimilatory nitrate reduction(nasB),and nitrification(amoB)were significantly correlated with N priming under different incorporation practices during the incubation period(Plizers can regulate soil microbial community functional gene structure,which may accelerate mineralization and assimilatory nitrate reduction and inhibit

The accumulation processes of loess in northeastern(NE)China record the varying characteristics of the East Asian Monsoons(EAM)and the evolution of the local *** this study,grain size end-member analysis of the Dajiugang(DJG)section deposited since the Last Glacial in Chifeng City,NE China was used to reveal the dynamic depositional characteristics of loess and environmental evolution of NE *** showed that the Chifeng loess comprises three grain size end-members(EM),EM1(7.38μm),EM2(49.4μm)and EM3(90.00μm),indicating the three transport dynamics of dust delivered to the *** EM1 represents atmospheric dust as the *** EM2,mainly derived from relatively distant-sources deposition,and EM3,material transported over a short distance,correspond to the intensity of southwesterly winds and the East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM),*** of climate reconstruction,combined with other records,showed that the climate was generally cold and dry with a strong EAWM and a weak East Asian summer monsoon(EASM)during the stadial-period[Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)4 and MIS 2 stage].The climate was predominantly warm and humid,with weak EAWM and surface winds and strong EASM in interstadial-period(MIS 3 and MIS 1 stage).Comparisons between indicators,e.g.,EM3,the LR04 benthicδ18O stack and summer insolation at 65°N suggest that the strong EAWM is induced by increasing the Northern Hemisphere ice volume and reduced summer solar radiation.
