Background Development of arterial dissection is thought to be an important key factor for bailout stenting in femoropopliteal disease. We aimed to evaluate the difference in dissection rate and outcomes between the treatment group with rotational atherectomy and with？out it. Methods From January 2011 to October 2016, we compared the angiography after balloon angioplasty （BA） of de-novo, femoropop？liteal, steno-occlusive lesions whether they were treated by rotational atherectomy prior to the BA or not. Fifty-nine lesions （8 occlusions; 3 involving popliteal segment; lesion length： 86.3 ± 66.8 mm） in 44 patients （29 males; mean age 66.9 ± 9.7 years） were enrolled for this review. Results Forty-two lesions were treated using rotational atherectomy, prior to BA while 17 were recanalized firstly by BA. Clinical and lesion characteristics were not different between the groups. However, the rate of significant arterial dissection （type C to F） was lower in the atherectomy group （88.2% vs. 42.9%; P = 0.001）. In multivariate analysis, use of the atherectomy device was the only risk factor for prevention of development of significant dissection （P = 0.013; OR = 0.12; 95% CI： 0.025？0.642）. Patients were treated either by the angioplasty alone, drug coated balloon or stent insertion. There was lower trend in target vessel revascularization and primary patency toward the atherectomy group （low rank P = 0.108 and 0.166）, however secondary patency was significantly better （low rank P = 0.001）. Conclusions Rotational atherec？tomy before BA reduced the rate of significant dissection and therefore, might be a valuable option for minimizing need of bailout stenting.

An antiviral innate immune response involves induction of type I interferons(IFNs)and their subsequent autocrine and paracrine actions,but the underlying regulatory mechanisms are incompletely *** we report that CYLD,a deubiquitinase that specifically digests lysine 63-linked ubiquitin chains,is required for antiviral host *** of CYLD renders mice considerably more susceptible to infection by vesicular stomatitis virus(VSV).Consistently,CYLD-deficient dendritic cells are more sensitive to VSV *** functional defect was not due to lack of type I IFN production but rather because of attenuated IFN receptor *** the absence of CYLD,IFN-b is ineffective in the induction of antiviral genes and protection of cells from viral *** findings establish CYLD as a novel regulator of antiviral innate immunity and suggest a role for CYLD in regulating IFN receptor signaling.

Efficient electrocatalysis at the cathode is essential for overcoming the limitations of Li-O_(2) batteries such as poor stability and low rate ***,we systematically studied the kinetic behavior of a Li-O_(2) battery comprising perovskite la_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)VO_(3) nanofibers formed by partial Sr-cation doping and V cations with multiple oxidation *** with undoped laVO_(3) and la_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)VO_(4) nanofibers,perovskite la_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)VO_(3) nanofibers exhibited an improved capacity of 2000 mA g^(-1),and a 20-times-longer cycle life in Li-O_(2) batteries.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy,and photoluminescence analyses revealed that the performance variations mainly originated from crystal defects,which modulate oxygen reduction/evolution *** in situ Raman analysis,we showed that these structural defects are closely related to the oxygen reduction/evolution behavior of la_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)VO_(3) nanofibers and result in fewer parasitic *** study offers insights into the potential rate capability of Li-O_(2) batteries and related devices.

Based on self-reported surveys conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, cannabis use in pregnant females has increased over the years. Despite the increasing trend, the relationship between cannabis use and fetal outcomes is not fully understood. This review paper evaluates the literature investigating the short-term and long-term fetal outcomes resulting from cannabis use during pregnancy. Additionally, the risk of chronic marijuana use leading to cannabis hyperemesis syndrome has been highlighted in this paper using conclusions compiled from several case studies. Several studies linked delayed mental growth and reduced cognitive function with prenatal cannabis use, but the literature was limited to lower-quality observational studies and could not establish causality. One systematic review investigated short-term outcomes of low birth rates and preterm deliveries, where marijuana use in conjunction with tobacco use was associated with more preterm deliveries. Another study found that six-year-old patients exposed to cannabis prenatally were more likely to score lower in different categories on the Stanford-Binet scale test, which measures intelligence. The exposure in the first, second, or third trimester was associated with lower composite or subcategory scores such as verbal reasoning or short-term memory. Despite these results, the studies evaluated had limitations. They could not establish a clear relationship between cannabis use and fetal outcomes, but the literature showed a similar pattern of health, social and economic inequities among the populations who self-reported cannabis and substance use and non-users. We synthesized reddish-orange luminescent la_(10)W_(22)O_(81)(LWO):Sm^(3+)microphosphors by hydrothermalassisted solid-state reaction.X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that all the studied phosphors crystallize in an orthorhombic structure in the Pbcn space group(60),Field emission scanning electron microscopy indicates that the LWO:1.5 mol% Sm^(3+)phosphor displays a smooth-surfaced hexagonal rod-like shape,with a closed shape at both ends,and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy demonstrates a robust crystalline *** chemical composition and valence states of the phosphor were investigated using X-ray photoelectron *** 403 nm excitation,LWO:1.5 mol% Sm3+exhibits maximum intensity with the strongest band at 596 nm(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(7/2)) in the reddish-orange *** intensity of Sm^(3+) emission decreases beyond 1.5 mol% owing to concentration quenching regulated by dipole-quadrupole interaction between Sm^(3+)*** optimized microphosphor LWO:1.5 mol% Sm^(3+)exhibits color coordinates(0.5760,0.4207),which is close to that of the Amber LED-NSPAR 70 BS(0.570,0.420),displaying the highest color purity of 99.2% and correlated color temperature of 1694 *** addition,both breast cancer cells MCF-7 and normal lung fibroblasts WI-38 were tested for toxicity with the optimized *** is found that the LWO:1.5 Sm^(3+)microphosphor is extremely toxic to cancer cells,but not to normal *** on these results,LWO:Sm^(3+)microphosphor can serve as a biomedical candidate for the treatment of cancer,as well as a potential multicolor emitting material for w-LEDs.

The growing demand for electric vehicles highlights the need for energy storage solutions with higher densities,spotlighting Li metal anodes as potential successors to traditional Li-ion batteries(LIBs).Achieving longer calendar aging life for Li metal anodes is crucial for their practical use,given their propensity for corrosion due to a low redox potential,which leads to compromised cycling stability and significant capacity loss during *** research investigated that this susceptibility is mainly dependent on the surface area of Li metal anode and the properties of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),particularly its stability and growth *** research adds to this understanding by demonstrating that the amount of Li plating is a key factor in its corrosion during open-circuit storage,as assessed across various *** discovered that increasing the Li plating amount effectively reduces Coulombic efficiency(C.E.)loss during aging,due to a lower surface area-to-Li *** implies that the choice of electrolyte for optimal storage life should consider the amount of Li plating,with higher capacities promoting better storage characteristics.

Protein ubiquitination is an important means of posttranslational modification which plays an essential role in the regulation of various aspects of leukocyte development and function. The specificity of ubiquitin tagging to a protein substrate is determined by E3 ubiquitin ligases via defined E3-substrate interactions. In this review, we will focus on two E3 ligases, VHL and Itch, to discuss the latest progress in understanding their roles in the differentiation and function of CD4+ T helper cell subsets, the stability of regulatory T cells, effector function of CD8+ T cells, as well as the development and maturation of innate lymphoid cells. The biological implications of these E3 ubiquitin ligases will be highlighted in the context of normal and dysregulated immune responses including the control of homeostasis, inflammation, auto-immune responses and anti-tumor immunity. Further elucidation of the ubiquitin system in immune cells will help in the design of new therapeutic interventions for human immunological diseases and cancer.
