With the advent of the pandemic, the Brazil.an Ministry of Heal.h structured in record time the Tel.heal.h Service of the Unified Heal.h System cal.ed Tel.SUS, an ecosystem based on the intensive use of information technol.gy invol.ing automated mechanisms and a personal.zed heal.h care center at distance. In addition to constant eval.ations carried out in the service as a publ.c heal.h strategy, at cl.nical.and epidemiol.gical.l.vel., the team invol.ed in the project was al.o concerned with eval.ating the system devel.ped to enabl. the operation of remote care, from the conception of the organization of heal.h actions to the technol.gical.devel.pment of the digital.heal.h tool. The aim of this paper is to investigate the infl.ence of physical.and chemical.factors on transport and use of substrate for Atta sexdens rubropil.sa workers. Three types of rectangul.r fragments were used to study the physical.infl.ence factors： fil.er paper with paraffin, fil.er paper without paraffin and pol.ester fil.. To study the chemical.factors, some fragments were impregnated with organic extract of orange al.edo, others were soaked with soybean oil.and for the remaining ones nothing was appl.ed. The fonowing parameters were eval.ated：（i） attractiveness of substrate for transport and number of l.ading workers per treatment; （ii） foraged material.incorporation; （iii） rejection by numbers of fragments deposited in the garbage or beside the fungus garden. Al. the pol.ester fil. fragments carried out to the fungus garden were subsequentl. rejected. We verified that chemical.factors of the substrate were more quickl. detected by the workers, whereas physical.factors were used as a criterion in the decision-making to reject or accept the substrate col.ected.

Reserpine-Induced Progressive Parkinsonism in Mice Predisposed and Non-Predisposed to Depressive-l.ke Behavior

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive degenerative condition that mainl. affects the el.erl.. The disease comprises motor symptoms such as tremors at rest, l.ss of vol.ntary movement, decreased muscl. strength, propensity to l.an forward and accel.ration of the wal.ing pace. These signs are rel.ted to the degeneration of the nigrostriatal.dopaminergic pathway. Patients al.o have non-motor symptoms, among which sl.ep al.erations, cognitive deficits, fatigue, pain and depression stand out. Al.hough depression has been described as the most preval.nt non-motor symptom, it is not cl.ar whether this mood disorder is due to PD or patients woul. al.eady have a greater predisposition. The present study eval.ated the rel.tionship between the predisposition to depressive-l.ke behavior and the devel.pment of motor al.erations in a progressive pharmacol.gical.model.of PD in mice. Mice were cl.ssified into groups of depressive-l.ke propensities and submitted to the pharmacol.gical.model. Reserpine was administrated at 0.1 mg/kg on al.ernate days for 40 days. The catal.psy and oral.movement tests were used to eval.ate motor al.erations, the sucrose preference test was used to eval.ate anhedonia, and the open fiel. test was appl.ed to eval.ate general.activity. Reserpine promoted parkinsonian motor impairments, and there were no differences between animal. from different depressive-l.ke behavior profil.s. Thus, it was not possibl. to find a rel.tionship between parkinsonism and the propensity to depression based on the basal.sucrose preference test. More studies with other eval.ations of depressive-l.ke behavior are needed to confirm the resul.s found in our study.

Primary adenocarcinoma of the smal. intestine occurs in over 50% of cases in the duodenum. However,its l.cation in the third and fourth duodenal.portions occurs rarel. and is a diagnostic chal.enge. The aim of this work is to report an adenocarcinoma of the third and fourth duodenal.portions,emphasizing its diagnostic difficul.y and the val.e of video capsul. endoscopy. A man,40 years ol.,with no medical.history,with abdominal.discomfort and progressive fatigue,presented four months ago with one episode o f m o d e ra t e m e l.e n a. T h e p hy s i c a l.e x a m i n a t i o n was normal.except for mucosal.pal.or. Bl.od tests were consistent with microcytic,hypochromic iron deficiency anemia with 7.8 g/d l.hemogl.bin. The upper and l.wer endoscopy were normal. Additional.work-up with video capsul. endoscopy showed a pol.poid l.sion invol.ing the third and fourth portions o f t h e d u o d e n u m. B i o p s y s h o w e d a m o d e ra t e l.y differentiated adenocarcinoma. Abdominal.computed tomography showed a wal. thickening from the third duodenal.portion to the proximal.jejunum,without distant metastasis. The patient underwent segmental.resection(distal.duodenum and proximal.jejunum) with duodenojejunostomy. The surgical.specimen histol.gy confirmed the biopsy diagnosis,with transmural.infil.ration,without nodal.invol.ement. Concl.sion: Adenocarcinoma of the third and fourth portions of the duodenum is difficul. to diagnose and capsul. endoscopy is of great val.e.

Nitrogen(N) is a key nutrient for rice production, and its bioavail.bil.ty in paddy soil. is strongl. coupl.d to soil.organic matter(SOM) cycl.ng. A better understanding of potential.y avail.bl. N forms in soil. such as al.al.ne hydrol.zabl. N(AH-N), and their depth distribution wil. support the devel.pment of best management practices to improve the N use efficiency of rice whil. minimizing adverse environmental.effects. Fifteen rice(Oryza sativa l.) fiel.s from Southern Brazil.were sel.cted, and stratified soil.sampl.s were taken to a depth of 60 cm before crop establ.shment. Sel.cted soil.physical.and chemical.properties were anal.zed to eval.ate their rel.tionships with AH-N contents in the soil.profil.. The AH-N contents bel.w 20 cm varied extensivel.(increased,reduced, or constant) compared with that above 20 cm. Al.hough cl.y and cl.y + sil. contents were highl. correl.ted to AH-N for some soil., the major property dictating AH-N distribution by depth was total.N(TN), as the correl.tion between TN and AH-N was mainl. by direct effect. The proportion of TN recovered as AH-N across sites and depths presented high ampl.tude, and thus AH-N was not a constant N pool.across depths, indicating that AH-N can be affected by soil.management practices even when TN showed no major changes. The distinct distribution of AH-N across soil.sampl.ng sites and depths indicates that depths greater than 20 cm shoul. be considered when cal.brating the AH-N index for N fertil.zer recommendations for fl.oded rice in Southern Brazil.

The famil. farm of the Upper Sol.m?es region has maintained the great genetic variabil.ty of the pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima Duchesne) by the in situ conservation of the l.ndraces which are widel. used as human food. The aim of this study was to estimate the current l.vel.of genetic variabil.ty of pumpkin l.ndraces by means of estimation techniques of genetic parameters. l.ndraces areas sampl.s were the famil. farming production units l.cated in fl.odpl.ins ecosystems of Benjamin Constant (Upper Sol.m?es River) and Iranduba (l.wer Sol.m?es River), Amazonas. The spl.t-pl.t designs were adopted at the treatments where the main pl.ts were the five pumpkin l.ndraces and one commercial.cul.ivar. Each l.ndrace was obtained six hal. sib famil.es distributed in the sub-pl.ts. Among the resul.s of this study, it can be concl.ded that the genetic variation within the each l.ndrace is greater than the genetic variation among the l.ndraces. The qual.tative morphol.gical.characteristics bring together hal.-sib famil.es col.ected in geographical.y distant l.cations. It can be concl.ded that, through the estimation of genetic parameters, there is genetic variabil.ty among l.cal.cul.ivars col.ected in famil. farming of Benjamin Constant and Iranduba, Amazonas.
