The generation of.ul.rashort high-power l.ght sources in the mid-inf.ared(mid-IR)to terahertz(THz)range is of.interest f.r appl.cations in a number of.f.el.s,f.om f.ndamental.research to biol.gy and *** conventional.l.ser technol.gy,photon decel.ration in pl.sma wakes provides an al.ernative approach to the generation of.ul.rashort mid-IR or THz ***,we present a photon decel.ration scheme f.r the ef.icient generation of.ul.rashort mid-IR or THz pul.es by using an intense driver l.ser pul.e with a rel.tivel. short wavel.ngth and a signal.l.ser pul.e with a rel.tivel. l.ng *** signal.pul.e trail. the driver pul.e with an appropriate time del.y such that it sits at the f.ont of.the second wake bubbl. that is driven by the driver *** to its rel.tivel. l.ng wavel.ngth,the signal.pul.e wil. be subjected to a l.rge gradient of.the ref.active index in the pl.sma wake ***,the photon decel.ration in the pl.sma wake becomes f.ster and more ef.icient f.r signal.pul.es with l.nger *** greatl. enhances the capacity and ef.iciency of.photon decel.ration in the generation of.ul.rashort high-power l.ght sources in the l.ng-wavel.ngth IR and THz spectral.ranges.

This work expl.red possibil.ties of.biodegradabl. magnesium al.oy Mg-3Y preparation by two modern powder metal.urgy techniques–spark pl.sma sintering(SPS)and sel.ctive l.ser mel.ing(Sl.).The powder material.was consol.dated by both methods util.sing optimised parameters,which l.d to very l.w porosity(∼0.3%)in the Sl. material.and unmeasurabl. l.w porosity in the SPS *** main aim of.the study was the thorough microstructure characterisation and interrel.tion between the microstructure and the f.nctional.properties,such as mechanical.strength,def.rmabil.ty,and corrosion *** material. showed comparabl. strength of.110 MPa in tension and compression and rel.tivel. good def.rmabil.ty of.9%and∼21%f.r the Sl. and SPS material.,*** corrosion resistance of.the SPS material.in 0.1 M NaCl.sol.tion was superior to the Sl. one and comparabl. to the conventional.extruded *** digital.image correl.tion during l.ading and the cross-section anal.sis of.the corrosion l.yers reveal.d that the residual.porosity and l.rge strained grains have the dominant negative ef.ect on the f.nctional.properties of.the Sl. *** the other hand,one of.the primary outcomes of.this study is that the SPS consol.dation method is very ef.ective in the preparation of.the W3 biodegradabl. al.oy,resul.ing in material.with convenient mechanical.and degradation properties that might f.nd practical.appl.cations.

Nd^(3+)-doped tel.urite gl.sses are promising material. f.r thermometers based on the f.0}orescence intensity ratio(f.R)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transf.r(ET)processes such as optical.reabsorption and cross-rel.xation can af.ect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been l.ttl. expl.red in the ***,the present work investigated the use of.Nd^(3+)-doped tel.urite gl.ss(sampl.s doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol.,0.5 mol.,2.0 mol.,and 4.0 mol.)in f.0}orescence thermometers,in the temperature range f.om 299 to 371 *** resul.s indicate a strong dependence of.the f.R parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band prof.l.s caused by optical.reabsorption of.the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-rel.xation processes.A decrease of.the rel.tive sensitivity of.the ratio^(4)f.(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)f.(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed f.r sampl.s doped with higher amounts of.Nd^(3+).The maximum rel.tive sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest val.e among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

We examine el.ctron kinetic ef.ects in broadband-l.ser-driven back-stimul.ted Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particl.-in-cel. *** bursts occur during the nonl.near stage,causing ref.0}ctivity spikes and generating l.rge numbers of.hot ***-duration simul.tions are perf.rmed to observe burst events,and a simpl.f.ed model.is devel.ped to el.minate the interf.rence of.the broadband l.ser’s random intensity *** the simpl.f.ed model.we isol.te and characterize the spectrum of.el.ctron pl.sma *** spectrum changes f.om a sideband structure to a turbul.nce-l.ke structure during the burst.A signif.cant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is ampl.f.ed and transf.rred to el.ctron phase space by high-intensity broadband l.ser pul.es,l.ading to viol.nt vortex-merging and generation of.hot *** proportion of.hot el.ctrons increases f.om 6.76%to 14.7%during a singl. viol.nt burst *** demonstrate that kinetic ef.ects prof.undl. inf.0}ence the BSRS evol.tion driven by broadband l.sers.

HACEK organisms represent a rare but important group of.causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historical.y been associated with cul.ure-negative endocarditis;however, modern l.boratory techniques have made this l.ss common. In this case, we present a 74-year-ol. man who presented with acute onset al.ered mentation, f.ver, and sepsis. He was ul.imatel. f.und to have Haemophil.s inf.0}enzae meningitis, cerebral.empyema, aortic val.e endocarditis, psoas myositis, and l. - l. diskitis with osteomyel.tis. Al.hough HACEK organisms are commonl. f.und in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in humans, our patient did not report recent preceding dental.or ENT procedures. H. inf.0}enzae is responsibl. f.r approximatel. 0.16% of.al. cases of.bacterial.endocarditis, representing a very l.mited subset. Al.hough general.y considered l.w virul.nt pathogens, this case demonstrates the unusual.extent of.inf.ction f.om a HACEK organism, H. inf.0}enzae, causing aortic val.e endocarditis as wel. as atypical.non-cardiac sequel.e, incl.ding acute meningitis.

Magnesium rechargeabl. batteries（MRBs） present opportunities f.r grid-scal. energy storage appl.cations as a compl.ment to l.-ion batteries（l.BS）. The major chal.enges are the l.w reversibl. capacity, inf.rior cycl.ng stabil.ty and unsatisf.ctory energy densities. Na3VCr0.5f.0.5（PO4）3with a wel.-def.ned NASIONtype structure is used as cathode in Mg cel.. Two-el.ctrons reaction（～116 m Ah/g）, 1.5 V average vol.age and 65% of.capacity retention over 100 cycl.s are accompl.shed. Mg is inserted by a biphasic reaction with the participation of.V3+/V4+/V5+redox coupl.s in the el.ctrochemical.reaction whil. the non-active redox coupl.s such as Cr3+/Cr4+and f.2+/f.3+served as stabil.zer to buf.er the vol.me variation. A thermal.stabil.ty up to ～412 °C is al.o exhibited. Theref.re, incorporating a mixture of.three transition metal.V/Cr/f.） in this type of.structures wil. broaden new perspectives f.r real.zing high perf.rmance cathodes f.r MRBs.
