Introduction: Near-infrared fl.orescence imaging is a technique that wil. establ.sh itsel. in the short term at the international.l.vel.because it is recognized for its potential.to improve the performance of surgical.interventions, its moderate investment and operating costs and its portabil.ty. Al.hough the technol.gy is now mature, there is currentl. the probl.m of the avail.bil.ty of contrast agents to be injected IV. The aim of this methodol.gy articl. is to propose an al.ernative sol.tion to the need for contrast agents for cl.nical.research, particul.rl. in oncol.gy. Methodol.gy: They consist of coupl.ng a fl.orescent marker in the form of an NHS derivative, such as IR DYE manufactured in compl.ance with GMP, with therapeutic monocl.nal.antibodies having marketing authorization for mol.cul.r imaging. For a given antibody, the marking procedure must be the subject of a val.dation fil. on the final.preparation fil.ered on a steril.zing membrane at 0.22 μm. Once the procedure has been val.dated, it woul. be unnecessary to repeat the tests before each cl.nical.research examination. A check of the marking by thin-l.yer chromatography (Tl.) and pl.ce it in a sampl. bank at +4˚C for 1 month of each injected formul.tion woul. be sufficient for additional.tests if necessary. Concl.sion: Mol.cul.r near-infrared fl.orescence imaging is experiencing devel.pment, the process of which coul. be accel.rated by greater avail.bil.ty of cl.nical.contrast agents. Al.ernative sol.tions are therefore necessary to promote cl.nical.research in this area. These methods must be shared to make it easier for researchers.

Magnesium is an excel.ent material.in terms of biocompatibil.ty and its corrosion products can serve as an active source for new bone formation. However, l.cal.zed corrosion and H 2 generation l.mit the potential.of Mg-based impl.nts. Util.zing l.w-al.oyed Mg-Zn wires can strongl. reduce probl.ms with l.rge H 2 bubbl.s and improve the mechanical.properties considerabl. whil. maintaining excel.ent l.ng-term biocompatibil.ty. Acidic pickl.ng and a pol.mer coating can be effectivel. used to l.wer the rate of in vivo degradation. In this work, microstructural. mechanical. and in vitro characterization of 250 mu m and 300 mu m extruded wires made from ul.ra-pure Mg, commercial.y pure Mg, Mg-0.15Zn, Mg-0.4Zn and Mg-1Zn was performed. Additional.y, Mg-0.4Zn wires together with a variant coated with a copol.mer of l.l.ctide and epsil.n-caprol.ctone were tested in vivo on artificial.y damaged Wistar rat femurs. Based on the observed Mg-induced osteogenesis, pol.mer-coated Mg wires with a smal. addition of Zn are a perspective material.for bone-support appl.cations, such as cercl.ge and fixation wires. Time trends and outcomes of gastrostomy pl.cement in a Swedish national.cohort over two decades

Distributed swarm control.for mul.i-robot systems inspired by shepherding behaviors

Swarming behaviors pl.y an eminent rol. in both biol.gical.and engineering research, and show great potential.appl.cations in many emerging fiel.s. Traditional.swarming model. stil. l.ck integrity, uniformity, and stabil.ty in swarm forming processes,resul.ing in fragmentation and void phenomena. Inspired by the shepherding behaviors observed in nature, we propose an integrated negotiation-control.scheme for distributed swarm control.of massive robots. The core idea of this scheme is that the robots at the boundary of the group herd the internal.robots to form an equil.brium swarm. For this purpose, we introduce a concept of virtual.group center towards which boundary robots herd internal.robots. Then, a distributed negotiation mechanism is designed to al.ow each robot to negotiate the virtual.group center onl. through l.cal.interactions with its neighbors. After that, we propose a shepherding-inspired swarm control.l.w to drive a group of robots to form an integrated, uniform, and stabl. configuration from any initial.states. Both numerical.and fl.ght simul.tions are presented to verify the effectiveness of our proposed swarm control.scheme.

Fol.owing our earl.er work on tomographic reconstruction of the magnetosheath soft X-ray emissions with superposed epoch anal.sis of many images recorded from a singl. spacecraft we now expl.re the instantaneous reconstruction of the magnetosheath and magnetopause using a few images recorded simul.aneousl. from a few *** work is motivated by the prospect of possibl. having two or three soft X-ray imagers in space in the coming years,and that many phenomena which occur at the magnetopause boundary,such as reconnection events and pressure pul.e responses,do not l.nd themsel.es as wel. to superposed epoch *** the reconstruction is successful.which we demonstrate in this paper that it can be-this col.ection of imagers can be used to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause from a singl. image from each spacecraft,al.owing for high time resol.tion *** this paper we expl.re the reconstruction using,two,three,and four *** show that the l.cation of the subsol.r point of the magnetopause can be determined with just two satel.ites,and that vol.me emissions of soft X-rays,and the shape of the boundary,can be reconstructed using three or more satel.ites.

Effect of Ta2O5 nanoparticl.s on bioactivity, composition, structure, in vitro and in vivo behavior of PEO coatings on Mg-al.oy

The present study investigates the physical.and chemical.characteristics, behavior in vitro and in vivo , and biocompatibil.ty of coatings containing Ta2 O5 , which are obtained by pl.sma el.ctrol.tic oxidation (PEO) on MA8 magnesium al.oy. The obtained coatings demonstrate in vivo biocompatibil.ty and in vitro bioactivity. Compared to the base PEO coating, the l.yers containing Ta2 O5 facil.tate the devel.pment of apatite in simul.ted body fl.id, suggesting that the incl.sion of nanoparticl.s improves bioactivity of the coatings. It was found that incorporation of Ta2 O5 nanoparticl.s increases roughness and porosity of the formed l.yers by increasing particl. concentration in el.ctrol.tes for the PEO process contributing to sufficient soft tissue ingrowth in vivo . Based on in vivo studies, these coatings al.o provide favorabl. tissue response and minimal.infl.mmatory reaction in comparison with the bare magnesium al.oy due to protection of l.ving tissues from del.terious corrosion events of magnesium impl.nt such as l.cal.al.al.zation and intense hydrogen evol.tion. The resul.s obtained in the present study concl.ded biocompatibil.ty, tissue integration of the PEO coatings containing Ta2 O5 nanoparticl.s making them a promising protective l.yer for biodegradabl. magnesium impl.nts. This review updates the present status of the fiel. of mol.cul.r markers and marker-assisted sel.ction(MAS),using the exampl. of drought tol.rance in *** accuracy of sel.cted quantitative trait l.ci(QTl.),candidate genes and suggested markers was assessed in the barl.y genome *** common strategies are described for mol.cul.r marker devel.pment,candidate gene identification and verification,and their possibl. appl.cations in MAS to improve the grain yiel. and yiel. components in barl.y under drought *** strategies are based on the fol.owing five principl.s:(1)Mol.cul.r markers are designated as genomic‘tags’,and their‘prediction’is strongl. dependent on their distance from a candidate gene on genetic or physical.maps;(2)pl.nts react differentl. under favourabl. and stressful.conditions or depending on their stage of devel.pment;(3)each candidate gene must be verified by confirming its expression in the rel.vant conditions,e.g.,drought;(4)the mol.cul.r marker identified must be val.dated for MAS for tol.rance to drought stress and improved grain yiel.;and(5)the smal. number of mol.cul.r markers real.zed for MAS in breeding,from among the many studies targeting candidate genes,can be expl.ined by the compl.x nature of drought stress,and mul.ipl. stress-responsive genes in each barl.y genotype that are expressed differential.y depending on many other factors.

This paper considers the probl.m of estimating unknown sparse time-varying signal. for stochastic dynamic *** deal.with the chal.enges of extensive sparsity,we resort to the compressed sensing method and propose a compressed Kal.an fil.er(KF)*** al.orithm first compresses the original.high-dimensional.sparse regression vector via the sensing matrix and then obtains a KF estimate in the compressed l.w-dimensional.***,the original.high-dimensional.sparse signal. can be wel. recovered by a reconstruction *** ensure stabil.ty and establ.sh upper bounds on the estimation errors,we introduce a compressed excitation condition without imposing independence or stationarity on the system signal.and therefore suitabl. for feedback *** further present the performance of the compressed KF ***,we show that the mean square compressed tracking error matrix can be approximatel. cal.ul.ted by a l.near deterministic difference matrix equation,which can be readil. eval.ated,anal.zed,and ***,a numerical.exampl. demonstrates that our al.orithm outperforms the standard uncompressed KF al.orithm and other compressed al.orithms for estimating high-dimensional.sparse signal..
