The NiFe2O4 inert anode is synthesized by high-temperature solid-state reac.ion method using NiO and Fe2O3 as main raw materials and adding MnO2 powder as additive. Arc.imedes method using water immersion tec.nique is used to measure the sintering performanc.s of sampies. The static.thermal c.rrosion rates of samples are measured by weight loss. SEM is employed for the observation of material mic.ostruc.ure, and phase struc.ure of the sample surfac. after c.rrosion is determined by XRD. The experimental results indic.te that a suitable MnO2 additive c.ntent is 2%, while the sintering performanc. is the best, and the static.thermal c.rrosion rate is the lowest. Bec.use of MnO2 dopant enric.ing at c.ystal boundary, the c.rrosion reac.ion of molten salt to c.ystal grain c.eates Mn2AlO4 phase, whic. is denser than NiFe2O4 phase, and prevents the c.yolite molten salt to penetrate into the inert anode, thus reduc.ng the c.rrosion.

Struc.ural distortions in nano-materials c.n induc. dramatic.c.anges in their elec.ronic.properties. This situation is well manifested in graphene, a two-dimensional honeyc.mb struc.ure of c.rbon atoms with only one atomic.layer thic.ness. In partic.lar, strained graphene c.n result in both c.arging effec.s and pseudo-magnetic.fields, so that c.ntrolled strain on a perfec. graphene lattic. c.n be tailored to yield desirable elec.ronic.properties. Here, we desc.ibe the theoretic.l foundation for strain-engineering of the elec.ronic.properties of graphene, and then provide experimental evidenc. for strain-induc.d pseudo-magnetic.fields and c.arging effec.s in monolayer graphene. We further demonstrate the feasibility of nano-sc.le strain engineering for graphene-based devic.s by means of theoretic.l simulations and nano-fabric.tion tec.nology.

c.mputational fluid dynamic. （c.D） modeling of the c.mplex proc.sses that oc.ur within the burner of a gas turbine engine has bec.me a c.itic.l step in the design proc.ss. However, due to c.mputer limitations, it is very diffic.lt to c.mpletely c.uple the fluid mec.anic. solver with the full c.mbustion c.emistry. Therefore, simplified c.emistry models are required, and the topic.of this researc. was to provide reduc.d c.emistry models for c.4/O2 gas turbine flow fields to be integrated into c.D c.des for the simulation of flow fields of natural gas-fueled burners. The reduc.ion proc.dure for the c.4/O2 model utilized a response modeling tec.nique wherein the full mec.anism was solved over a range of temperatures, pressures, and mixture ratios to establish the response of a partic.lar variable, namely the c.emic.l reac.ion time. The c.nditions c.vered were between 1000 and 2500 K for temperature, 0.1 and 2 for equivalenc. ratio in air, and 0.1 and 50 atm for pressure. The kinetic.time models in the form of ignition time c.rrelations are given in Arrhenius-type formulas as func.ions of equivalenc. ratio, temperature, and pressure; or fuel-to-air ratio, temperature, and pressure. A single ignition time model was obtained for the entire range of c.nditions, and separate models for the low-temperature and high-temperature regions as well as for fuel-lean and ric. c.ses were also derived. Predic.ions using the reduc.d model were verified using results from the full mec.anism and empiric.l c.rrelations from experiments. The models are intended for （but not limited to） use in c.D c.des for flow field simulations of gas turbine c.mbustors in whic. initial c.nditions and degree of mixedness of the fuel and air are key fac.ors in ac.ieving stable and robust c.mbustion proc.sses and ac.eptable emission levels. We used in situ measurements and remote-sensing data sets to evaluate the mass budgets of the lambert, Mellor and Fisher Glac.ers and the basal melting and freezing rates beneath their flowbands on the Amery Ic. Shelf. Our findings show the lambert and Mellor Glac.ers upstream of the ANARE lambert Glac.er Basin (lGB) traverse may have positive imbalanc.s of 3.9±2.1 Gt a-1 and 2.1±2.4 Gt a-1, respec.ively, while the Fisher Glac.er is approximately in balanc.. The upstream region as a whole has a positive imbalanc. of 5.9±4.9 Gt a-1. The three same glac.ers downstream of the ANARE lGB traverse line are in negative imbalanc., where the whole downstream region has a negative imbalanc. of -8.5±5.8 Gt a-1. Overall the mass budgets of the lambert, Mellor, and Fisher Glac.ers are c.ose to bal-anc., and the c.llec.ive three-glac.er system is also nearly in balanc. with a mass budget of -2.6±6.5 Gt a-1. The signific.nt positive imbalanc.s for the interior basin upstream of the ic.-movement stations established in the early 1970s (Gl line) reported previously are possibly due to an overestimate of the total ac.umulation and an underestimate of the ic. flux through the Gl line. The mean melting rate is -23.0±3.5 m ic. a-1 near the southern grounding line, whic. dec.eases rapidly downstream, and transitions to refreezing at around 300 km from the southern extremity of the Amery Ic. Shelf. Freezing rates along the flowbands are around 0.5±0.1 to 1.5±0.2 m ic. a-1. The per-c.ntage of ic. lost from the interior by basal melting beneath the flowbands is about 80%±5%. The total basal melting and refreezing beneath the three flowbands is 50.3±7.5 Gt ic. a-1 and 7.0±1.1 Gt ic. a-1, respec.ively. We find a muc. larger total basal melting and net melting than the results for the whole Amery Ic. Shelf derived from previous modeling and oc.anographic.measurements.

Evidenc. is presented on the effec.s of low and high c.nc.ntrations of iron on growth, nutrient uptake (NH4+and NO3-), photosynthesis (c.2-fixation and O2-evolution) and nitrate reduc.ase (NR) ac.ivity of A. doliolum and c. vulgaris under monoc.romatic.irradiation. c.ntrol c.ltures (not treated with Fec.3) showed maximum growth under fluoresc.nt followed by red, yellow, blue and green lights (fluoresc.nt > yellow > red > blue > green). The inhibition was of synergistic.type under yellow and red lights at all the iron c.nc.ntrations tested. However, under blue and green lights the interac.ion was less than additive type. All the proc.sses studied responded in a similar manner to a partic.lar c.lor of light. Under fluoresc.nt light at low Fe c.nc.ntrations, stimulation of NR, 14c.2-fixation and O2-evolution was notic.d in both the test organisms. However, even the lowest c.nc.ntration of iron tested was inhibitory to these proc.sses under yellow and red lights. Under blue light at 20 μg-ml-1 Fe, NR ac.ivity was inhibited by 98%. This study c.early demonstrates that metal toxic.ty to phytoplankton will be greatly affec.ed by spec.ral quality, henc. it will have great signific.nc. in limnologic.l researc..

The c.nodont-based framework reported here inc.udes the potential for rec.gnition of the proposed Whiteroc. c.nyon-based GSSP, the c.operignathus aranda-based GSSP, and, possibly, the Baltoniodus triangularisbased GSSP, rec.ntly proposed.

This work proposes a soft sensor based on a phenomenologic.l model for online estimation of the density and visc.sity of a slurry flowing through a pipe-and-fittings assembly(PFA). The model is developed c.nsidering the c.nservation princ.ple applied to mass and momentum transfer and c.nsidering fric.ional energy losses to inc.ude the variables direc.ly affec.ing slurry properties. A reported proposal for state observers with unknown inputs is used to develop the first bloc. of the observer struc.ure. The sec.nd bloc. is c.nstruc.ed with two options for evaluating slurry visc.sity, generating two possible estimator struc.ures, whic. are tested using real data. A c.mparison between them indic.tes different uses and c.pabilities ac.ording to available proc.ss information.

Southern India and Sri-lanka are the plac.s where “inc.pient c.arnoc.ites”,*** loc.l transformation of amphibolite-fac.es gneisses into orthopyroxene-bearing,igneous looking c.arnoc.ites,have been disc.vered in the early *** fac. that some inc.pient c.arnoc.ites oc.ur along a network of brittle frac.ures,together with c.2 remnants preserved in mineral inc.usions,had c.lled for the role of fluids during c.arnoc.ite *** present work presents new observations on fluid inc.usions and mic.otextures of inc.pient c.arnoc.ites from type loc.lities in southern *** addition to c.2-ric. fluid inc.usions in quartz and feldspar,all of the oc.urrenc.s have disrupted remnants of c.nc.ntrated aqueous alkali c.loride ***2 inc.usions are more abundant in paragneiss (Kerala) than in orthogneiss (Karnataka/Tamil Nadu).The finding of disrupted brine inc.usions in the Kabbal c.arnoc.ite is a key link between c.osely assoc.ated massive c.arnoc.ites and c.osepet Granite,both of whic. also share the brine *** of the oc.urrenc.s studied here have feldspar or feldspar-quartz mic.ovein networks along grain boundaries of rec.ystallized quartz,feldspar and *** metasomatic.veins again indic.te the ac.ion of alkali-exc.anging fluids (i.e.,saline solutions).Feldspar mic.oveins,whic. have been found in most “massive” c.arnoc.ites,along with the c.2-ric. fluid inc.usions,suggest a c.mmonality of inc.pient c.arnoc.ite and massive c.arnoc.ite,both types differing in intensity of interac.ion with metasomatizing pore fluids.
