This paper presents the design, fabrication, and experimental characterization of a peristaltic micropump. The micropump is composed of two layers fabricated from Polydimethylsiloxane （PDMS） material. The first layer has a rectangular channel and two valve seals. Three rectangular mini lightweight piezo-composite actuators are integrated in the second layer, and used as actuation parts. Two layers are bonded, and covered by two Polymethyl Methacrylate （PMMA） plates, which help increase the stiffness of the micropump. A maximum flow rate of 900μ*** 1 and a maximum backpressure of 1.8 kPa are recorded when water is used as pump liquid. We measured the power consumption of the micropump. The micropump is found to be a promising candidate for bio-medical application due to its bio-compatibility, portability, bidirectionality, and simple effective design.

It is critically important for companies to screen new product projects before they are launched to the market. So far, many approaches have been developed for tackling the process of screening product innovations. Due to uncertain, vague and incomplete information as well as dynamically complex process regarding to new product development （NPD）, a fuzzy linguistic approach employed linguistic assessments and the fuzzy-set-based computation is reasonable for screening new products. However, such a fuzzy linguistic approach faces with various defects and limitations, such as loss of information, failing in considering the aspects related to human nature on uncertain subjective judgments etc. These defects and limitations lead to a dilemma, i.e., it＇s very difficult to screen new product projects reasonably and precisely. In this paper, we propose a notion of proportional 3-tuple to represent a linguistic assessment and related ignoring information, and a preference-preserving proportional 3-tuple transformation for the unification of linguistic assessments represented by proportional 3-tuples between two different linguistic term sets. On this basis, a proportional 3-tuple fuzzy linguistic representation model for screening new product projects is developed. It is shown that the proposed model is flexible to handle uncertain, vague and incomplete information related to screening new product projects. It not only allows evaluators to express their subjective judgments with different confidence levels, but is also able to deal with incomplete linguistic assessments. Ultimately, the proposed model also improves the precision and reasonability of the screening result.

The corrosion behavior of extruded AZ61 magnesium alloy with different addition of yttrium ranging from 0 to 0.9 wt.%was *** electrochemical techniques in naturally-aerated 0.01 M NaCl solution and the surface analyses are *** electrochemical results show that the pitting potential,time to pitting initiation,film and charge transfer resistances of the AZ61 specimens increased with the increase of yttrium *** analyses indicate that yttrium promotes the formation of passive films and the refinement of the precipitates and matrix grains.

Orthokeratology is a reversible technique that temporarily changes the curvature of the cornea with the aim of addressing refractive errors. The United States Food and Drug Administration(FDA) granted approval for using reverse geometry contact lenses to correct myopia without any age restriction. Information from the pre-market applications to the FDA was rated as level Ⅱ evidence. Another unapproved use of overnight orthokeratology is for the prevention of myopic progression. Although orthokeratology is advocated to reduce myopic progression, there are limited long-term studies with substantial evidence of its benefits. Much of this evidence comes from non-robust experimental studies using historical or self-selected controls with relative high dropout rates. Although some positive results have been published in temporarily reducing the myopic refractive error and its progression, the use of these lenses can be associated with serious complications such as microbial keratitis. Microbial keratitis is a potentially vision-threatening adverse response associated with contact lens wear. In fact, contact lens wearhas been shown to be the predominant risk factor of microbial keratitis in some developed countries. Most of the published cases on overnight orthokeratology related microbial keratitis occurred in children or adolescents. Parents considering orthokeratology must make an informed decision about its temporary benefit and its potential for permanent loss of vision. The ophthalmic community should be reminded of the potential complications of orthokeratology.

The homeostatic balance between effector T cells and regulatory T cells(Tregs)is crucial for adaptive immunity;however,epigenetic programs that inhibit phosphorylation to regulate Treg development,peripheral expression,and suppressive activity are ***,we found that the Ssu72 phosphatase is activated by various T-cell receptor signaling pathways,including the T-cell receptor and IL-2R pathways,and localizes at the cell *** of Ssu72 in T cells disrupts CD4+T-cell differentiation into Tregs in the periphery via the production of high levels of the effector cytokines IL-2 and IFNγ,which induce CD4+T-cell activation and differentiation into effector cell *** also found a close correlation between downregulation of Ssu72 and severe defects in mucosal tolerance in ***,Ssu72 forms a complex with PLCγ1,which is an essential effector molecule for T-cell receptor signaling as well as Treg development and ***72 deficiency impairs PLCγ1 downstream signaling and results in failure of Foxp3 ***,our studies show that the Ssu72-mediated cytokine response coordinates the differentiation and function of Treg cells in the periphery.

AI(Artificial Intelligence)workloads are proliferating in modernreal-time *** the tasks of AI workloads fluctuate over time,resourceplanning policies used for traditional fixed real-time tasks should be *** particular,it is difficult to immediately handle changes inreal-time tasks without violating the deadline *** cope with thissituation,this paper analyzes the task situations of AI workloads and findsthe following two ***,resource planning for AI workloadsis a complicated search problem that requires much time for ***,although the task set of an AI workload may change over time,thepossible combinations of the task sets are known in *** on theseobservations,this paper proposes a new resource planning scheme for AIworkloads that supports the re-planning of *** of generatingresource plans on the fly,the proposed scheme pre-determines resourceplans for various combinations of ***,in any case,the workload isimmediately executed according to the resource plan ***,the proposed scheme maintains an optimized CPU(Central Processing Unit)and memory resource plan using genetic algorithms and applies it as soonas the workload *** proposed scheme is implemented in the opensourcesimulator SimRTS for the validation of its *** show that the proposed scheme reduces the energy consumptionof CPU and memory by 45.5%on average without deadline misses.

This study was designed to observe and compare the circadian fluctuations in tactile sense, joint reposition sense and two-point discrimination in healthy subjects. Twenty-one healthy adult subjects received perceptual ability tests through these three different sensory modules at approximately 9：00, 13：00 and 18：00 in a day. The distribution of ranking for perceptual ability was significantly different among the three different time points in each individual, with highest perceptual ability in the evening compared with noon and morning, in terms of tactile sense and two-point discrimination. These findings suggest that the perceptual ability of healthy subjects fluctuates according to the time points in a day.
