Mixed-dimensional composite structures using zero-dimensional(0D)quantum dots(QDs)and two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials are expected to attract great interest in optoelectronics due to the potential to generate new optical ***,we report on the unique optical characteristics of a devices with mixed dimensional vertically stacked structures based on tungsten diselenide(WSe_(2))/CdSeS QDs monolayer/molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))(2D/0D/2D).Specifically,it exhibits an ambipolar photoresponse characteristic,with a negative photoresponse observed in the 400-600 nm wavelength range and a positive photoresponse appeared at 700 nm *** resulted in the high negative responsivity of up to 52.22 mA·W^(−1)under 400 nm,which is 163 times higher than that of the photodetector without CdSeS *** also demonstrated the negative photoresponse,which could be due to increased carrier collision probability and non-radiative *** modeling and simulation reveal that Auger recombination among the types of non-radiative recombination is the main cause of negative photocurrent ***,we discovered ambipolar photoresponse near a specific wavelength corresponding to the energy of quantum *** study revealed interesting phenomenon in the mixed low-dimensional stacked structure and paved the way to exploit it for the development of innovative photodetection materials as well as for optoelectronic applications.

Potent inhibitors of human peptide deformylase(HsPDF)were screened using known PMT analog inhibitors of bacterial peptide ***-three species of PMT analogs that are non-peptidyl bacterial PDF inhibitors like actinonin were selected using virtual screening *** species out of 43 that could bind to HsPDF were selected and their antitumor activities were *** them,four species(PMT-172,PMT-173,PMT-199,and PMT-201)showed excellent growth inhibition of cancer cell in the MTT ***-PMT binding was confirmed through a1H-CPMG-T2filter NMR experiment leading to a significant change in peak intensity for PMT-172 and *** results suggest that PMT analogs could possibly interact with HsPDF and be a novel anticancer drug candidate.

Residue patterns of buprofezin and teflubenzuron in treated peaches

The biological half-life and final residue levels of buprofezin and teflubenzuron were examined in peaches over a 14-day cultivation period. The residue levels of buprofezin and teflubenzuron were analyzed by chromatographic method with recovery ranging from 84.0% to 96.6%. The biological half-lives of buprofezin andteflubenzuron were 4.88 and 11.49 days at the standard dose, and 4.40 and 10.86 days at a triple dose, respectively. The initial concentration of buprofezin exceeded the maximum residue limit (MRL) set in Korea, but the concentration decreased to below the MRL within 6 days after application. The initial and persisting concentrations of teflubenzuron were all below the prescribed MRL. The final residue levels of buprofezin and teflubenzuron were 0.17 and 0.10?mg·kg﹣1 following a standard single dose, and 0.20 and 0.23 mg·kg﹣1 following a triple dose, respectively. The final re-sidue levels of buprofezin and teflubenzuron were also compared with the good agricultural practices standards of the United States and Italy.

Inhibitory effects of coronary vasodilator papaverine on heterologously-expressed HERG currents in Xenopus oocytes

Residue patterns of indoxacarb and pyridalyl in treated cauliflower

The biological half-life and final residue levels of indoxacarb and pyridalyl were determined in cauliflower over a 10-day cultivation period following applications of a standard (100 g ***–1 and 200 g a.i.·ha–1, respectively) and double dose (200 g a.i.·ha–1 and 400 g a.i.·ha–1, respectively). The residue levels were analyzed by gas chromatography with recovery ranging from 92.1% to 109.7%. The biological half-lives of indoxacarb and pyridalyl were 6.33 and 7.74 days for the standard dose, and 6.26 and 7.44 days for the double dose, respectively. The initial and persisting concentrations of indoxacarb and pyridalyl were all below the Korean maximum residue limits for broccoli of 1.0 mgkg–1 and 3.0 mgkg–1, respectively.

Pb concentrations and isotopic compositions in the soil and sediments around the abandoned mine in southwest of Korea

This study was undertaken to investigate the influence of Pb contaminant dispersal from an abandoned mine. For the study, 23 samples of sediment and soil were collected around the abandoned mine located in southwest of Korea. Pb concentrations and isotope ratios of sediment samples were analyzed through ICP-OES (Optima 5300 DV, Perkin Elmer) and MC-ICP-MS (Plasma II, Nu), respectively. The sediment samples collected in the main stream from the mine entrance showed high Pb concentrations of 139 - 1079 mg/kg, while Pb concentrations of the other sites were 19 - 29 mg/kg. Pb isotope ratios of the main stream sediments were 2.4854 - 2.4883 for 208Pb/207Pb and 1.1693 - 1.1740 for 206Pb/207Pb. On the other hand, the Pb isotopic compositions of sediments collected from the other sites were clearly different from those of ore deposits. The Pb isotope ratios versus inverse concentrations plot showed high linear correlation between the main stream, the tributary stream and one of the downstream sites representing the two end member mixing system between these sites. According to the binary mixing equation, the relative contribution of Pb pollutants from the abandoned mine to the downstream area were approximately 33% - 36%.

松萎蔫病是一种非常复杂的病害。据报道,松材线虫(Bursaphelenchus xylophilus)及其携带的细菌诱导了该病,但是对于细菌的的作用尚存争议。笔者筛选出杀细菌剂进行了温室和林间防治松萎蔫病的实验。利用每株3年生赤松(Pinus densiflora)注射3mg的恶喹酸,松萎蔫病防效达到71%。利用恶喹酸或阿维菌素及两者混合物对大约20年生赤松的试验表明,3种处理均显示了很高的防效。以上结果证明伴生细菌是诱导松萎蔫病的必要因素,对松萎蔫病可利用杀细菌剂或杀细菌剂与杀线剂混合物进行防控。

Outcomes of men aged≤50 years treated with radical prostatectomy:a retrospective analysis

Previous studies inv estigating prostate can cer(PCa)features in youn ger men have reported con flicting fin *** study aimed to investigate pathologic outcomes and biochemical recurrenee(BCR)status in younger men who underwent radical prostatectomy(RP)for *** of 2057 patients who underwent RP at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital(Seongnam,Korea)between 2006 and 2015 were reviewed;patients were divided according to age into the younger and older groups(men aged50 years,respectively).Postoperative BCR status and functional outcomes and clinicopathologic features were compared betwee n both *** an alyses were repeated after propensity score matchi *** men were more likely to have lowrisk disease(P<0.001),lower pathologic Gleason score(P<0.001)and pathologic stages(P<0.001)than older *** pathologic Gleason score(P=0.002)and rates of extracapsular extension(P=0.004)were lower in younger men after propensity score *** multivariate analysis,age at RP was not an independent predictor of BCR-free survival after RP(P=0.669).Moreover,at 1 year after RP,younger men with preoperative 5?item International Index of Erectile Function score≥22(n=228)showed more favorable results for urinary con tine nee(defi ned as nonuse of pads daily)(99.4%vs 95%,P=0.009)and erections sufficie nt for vaginal in tercourse(81.8%vs 55.5%,P=0.001).Youn ger men had more favorable clinicopathologic features at RP than their older *** age was not an independent predictor of BCR status outcome,younger men had better functional outcomes following RP.

Horizontal distribution of Changjiang Diluted Water in summer inferred from total suspended sediment in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea

During the summer in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea, the resuspension of the bottom sediment is obstructed by strong stratification and, as a result, the concentration of total suspended sediment（TSS） can be used as an excellent tracer for Changjiang Diluted Water（CDW）. To analyze the spatial and temporal variations of the CDW distribution, the monthly mean TSS from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer（MODIS） ocean color data are constructed and are converted to salinity using the relationship between salinity observed from AQUARIUS and TSS. The process produces the detailed horizontal distribution of salinity with very high resolution（1 km）. From monthly mean salinity map from 2002 to 2012 in July and August, the expansion patterns of CDW are analyzed. The southerly wind in July and southeasterly wind in August transport the CDW eastward and northeastward, respectively. It is found that the yearly variation of the expansion of CDW toward the southern sea area of Korea is mostly due to the variation of southerly wind and the fluctuations of fresh water discharge into the Changjiang estuary show relatively little impact on the eastward extend of CDW. When 11-year mean（from2002 to 2012） salinity map in August is compared with World Ocean Atlas 2013, it is revealed that wind in August strengthened six times from 1994 and it causes the expansion of CDW extended 150 km further eastward.

Electrochemical characteristics of Al-Mg and Al-Mg-Si alloy in sea water

Among Al alloys,particularly 5000 series Al Mg and 6000 series Al Mg Si often used as marine materials have excellent corrosion resistance,low melting point,and thereby showing recycling availability when compared to other *** experiments were conducted to select the most suitable material for marine *** electrochemical experiments were conducted in natural *** corrosion test was performed in many methods such as anodic/cathodic polarization and Tafel analysis using multi-channel potentio/galvanostat WMPG *** results,anodic and cathodic polarization behaviors indicate the characteristics of passive state and concentration polarization by reduction reaction in dissolved oxygen,which shows excellent electrochemical *** analysis results show no significant difference but 5052-O alloy of various alloy materials indicates the lowest corrosion current ***,5052-O Al alloy presents most anti-corrosion material in marine environment.
