目的探讨肺康复训练对老龄髋关节置换术后肺功能指标及疗效的影响。方法选取2020年3月至2022年3月在我院骨科收治的老龄髋关节置换术患者56例作为研究对象,随机将其分为对照组和观察组,两组均28例,对照组接受常规康复训练,观察组在对照组基础上采用肺康复训练。对比两组干预前后肺功能指标、生活质量评分以及临床疗效比较。结果治疗后,观察组肺功能各项指标及生命质量评分明显高于对照组,其认知、情绪、躯体、社会以及角色等功能等评分均明显低于对照组(P<0.05);观察组临床治疗总有效率为(82.14%)明显高于对照组的(57.14%)(P<0.05)。结论肺康复训练可有效改善老龄髋关节置换术后肺功能指标,提高其生活质量,降低其肺部感染率,提高其治疗效果,值得临床推广。

The dehydration-responsive element-binding factor 2C （DREB2C） is a member of the CBF/DREB subfamily of proteins, which contains a single APETALA2/Ethylene responsive element-binding factor （AP2/ERF） domain. To identify the expression pattern of the DREB2C gene, which contains multiple transcription cis-regulatory elements in its promoter, an approximately 1.4 kb upstream DREB2C sequence was fused to the β-glucuronidase reporter gene （GUS） and the recombinant p1244 construct was transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana （L.） Heynh. The promoter of the gene directed prominent GUS activity in the vasculature in diverse young dividing tissues. Upon applying heat stress （HS）, GUS staining was also enhanced in the vasculature of the growing tissues. Analysis of a series of 5＇-deletions of the DREB2C promoter revealed that a proximal upstream sequence sufficient for the tissue-specific spatial and temporal induction of GUS expression by HS is localized in the promoter region between -204 and -34 bps relative to the transcriptional start site. Furthermore, electrophoretic mobility shift assay （EMSA） demonstrated that nuclear protein binding activities specific to a -120 to -32 bp promoter fragment increased after HS. These results indicate that the TATA-proximal region and some latent trans-acting factors may cooperate in HS-induced activation of the Arabidopsis DREB2C promoter.

Liver fibrosis is characterised by excessive deposition of extracellular matrix that interrupts normal liver functionality. It is a pathological stage in several untreated chronic liver diseases such as the iron overload syndrome hereditary haemochromatosis, viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and diabetes. Interestingly, regardless of the aetiology, iron-loading is frequently observed in chronic liver diseases. Excess iron can feed the Fenton reaction to generate unquenchable amounts of free radicals that cause grave cellular and tissue damage and thereby contribute to fibrosis. Moreover, excess iron can induce fibrosis-promoting signals in the parenchymal and non-parenchymal cells, which accelerate disease progression and exacerbate liver pathology. Fibrosis regression is achievable following treatment, but if untreated or unsuccessful, it can progress to the irreversible cirrhotic stage leading to organ failure and hepatocellular carcinoma, where resection or transplantation remain the only curative options. Therefore,understanding the role of iron in liver fibrosis is extremely essential as it can help in formulating iron-related diagnostic, prognostic and treatment strategies. These can be implemented in isolation or in combination with the current approaches to prepone detection, and halt or decelerate fibrosis progression before it reaches the irreparable stage. Thus, this review narrates the role of iron in liver fibrosis. It examines the underlying mechanisms by which excess iron can facilitate fibrotic responses. It describes the role of iron in various clinical pathologies and lastly,highlights the significance and potential of iron-related proteins in the diagnosis and therapeutics of liver fibrosis.

objective:To investigate the aetiology of abnormal vaginal discharge,using a non-culture based method,among pregnant women presenting at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar,***:Two hundred consecutive antenatal patients,aged 18 to 38 years,with complaints of abnormal vaginal discharge between 1st April and 31st July 2004 were investigated clinically for the characteristics of the vaginal *** vaginal swabs taken from the vaginal fornices were examined using a non-culture based method to determine the possible aetiology of the *** possibility of integrating non-culture based laboratory methods in the syndromic case management of abnormal vaginal discharge in an antenatal clinic setting is ***: The commonest form of abnormal discharge was curdy white in 66%of ***(5%) women had malodourous vaginal discharged,92%had vulval itching;and superficial dyspareunia was seen in 29%of *** studies of vaginal discharge revealed the following findings: lactobacilli(96%),polymorphs(96%),’clue’ cells(4%);positive Whiff test(5%),and pH > 4.5 (7%).The clinical and laboratory assessment of each patient lasted between 35 and 45 *** procedures used were acceptable to 78%of ***:The use of non-culture based laboratory methods in the initial assessment of abnormal vaginal discharge can be a useful adjunct in the syndromic case management of abnormal vaginal discharge in pregnant women.

Authentication mechanism for fast handoff in cdma2000-WiBro interworking

In this paper, we propose the authentication mechanism for a handoff in cdma2000-WiBro interworking environment. In the interworking environment, the handoff procedure requires the authentication on MS for the access control and the accounting. In the handoff procedure, it is required to perform the EAP-AKA authentication process with cdma2000-HN (home network) because TN (target network) does not have the information for the authentication about MS. This process has relatively long delay. Therefore, the fast handoff authentication mechanism for reducing the long delay in the handoff procedure is needed. Thus this paper proposes the handoff authentication method of using the reactive context transfer and ticket forwarding method, to provide the fast handoff in cdma2000-WiBro interworking environment. The proposed scheme satisfies security requirements on handoff and has the advantage of low signaling overhead in handoff authentication.

N1s Electron Binding Energies of CN_x Thin Films Grown by Magnetron Sputtering at Different Temperature

Carbon nitride thin films deposited using dc unbalanced magnetron sputtering system have been analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The XPS data show that N1s binding states depend on substrate temperature T-s, in which the peak at 400.0 eV increases with T-s, whereas the peak at 398.3 eV decreases with T-s slightly. on the basis of XPS, FTIR and Raman spectra, the assignment of N1s electron binding energies was made. The peak at 400.0 eV is attributed to N atoms bonded to sp(2) coordinated C atoms. The peak at 398.3 eV is attributed to N atoms bonded to sp(3) coordinated C atoms as well as N-C bonds.
