River discharge is a significant hydrological variable, as it represents the basin-scale integrated output of the hydrological cycle. At present, river discharge observations are usually measured at ground-based gauges across rivers worldwide. In some areas, however, measurements used in the practice of flood prediction and disaster prevention are either fully inaccessible or difficult to obtain in a timely and functional fashion (1)It has also been reported that the scarcity of global river discharge observations may have undermined the efforts to calculate a globally meaningful estimate of the adjusted biodiversity threat (2)The Tibetan Plateau(TP), also known as the ‘‘Asian Water Tower'.

This study is a contribution to improving rice productivity on acidic plateau soils of the tropical rainforest zone. It is based on taking into account the cationic balances of the soil in order to optimize the phosphorus (P) nutrition of rice on these acidic soils, where this nutrient constitutes a limiting factor for agricultural production. Three (3) pot trials were conducted in Adiopodoumé in the forested south of Côte d’Ivoire. The interactive effects of calcium carbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Ca ha−1) and magnesium sulfate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Mg ha−1) were evaluated on the response of NERICA 5 rice at doses 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg P ha−1 of natural phosphate from Togo, applied only once at the start of the experiment. Additional fertilizers of nitrogen (N) (100 kg N ha−1) and potassium (K) (50 kg KCl ha−1) were added to each of the tests in a split-plot device. The test results revealed a paddy production potential of approximately 3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for NERICA 5 on an acidic soil, under the effect of the interaction of P, Ca and Mg. The quadratic response of rice yield to the doses of these fertilizers would be more dependent on their balance, itself influenced by Ca nutrition. For the sustainability and maintenance of rice production in agro-ecology studied, it was recommended doses of 38 kg Ca ha−1, 34 kg Mg ha−1 in a Ca/Mg ratio (1/1) with intakes of 41 kg P ha−1, overall in a ratio 1/1/1 (P/Ca/Mg) more favorable to the availability of free iron considered a guiding element of mineral nutrition. Thus, these promising results should be confirmed in a real environment for better management of the fertilization of rice cultivated on acidic plateau soils in Côte d’Ivoire.

Identification of glycerophospholipid fatty acid remodeling by using mass spectrometry imaging in bisphenol S induced mouse liver

Bisphenol A（BPA） plays an important role in metabolic disorders. As a major alternative to BPA, it is unclear whether the exposure of bisphenol S（BPS） may result in lipidome disturbance. Using a mouse model, we investigated the effects of BPS exposure on metabolism and spatial distribution of lipids by using lipidomics analysis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization（MALDI）-mass spectrometry imaging（MSI） in mouse liver tissues. Lipid metabolites displayed significant up-regulation in phosphatidylethanolamines（PE）, lysophosphatidylcholines（LPC）, lysophosphatidylethanolamines（LPE） and lysophosphatidylserine（LPS） as well as remarkable down-regulation in phosphatidylcholine（PC） and phosphatidylserine（PS） in mouse liver after the exposure at 100 m g BPS/kg body weight/*** obtained results indicated that the lipidome of liver was perturbed significantly in glycerophospholipid（GP） fatty acid remodeling pathway upon the BPS exposure. We applied MSI and multivariate statistical analysis to evaluate the abundance variation of lipid markers in BPS-treated liver sections and to compare with the analytical results from olive oil-treated liver sections. Differential structural lipids with up-regulated PE（20：1/20：4）, LPC（20：4）, LPE（20：4）, LPS（33：4） and down-regulated PC（20：4/22：6）and PS（18：0/22：6）, which were related to GP fatty acid remodeling, changed and co-localized in the liver sections. To explore the cause of variation of lipid abundance, expression of enzymes that regulate biosynthesis and metabolism of fatty acid in liver tissues were analyzed. Consistent with the results of liver lipidome and spatial distribution, a decrease in hepatic expression of LPC acyltransferase 1（LPCAT1）,LPCAT2 and LPS acyltransferase and an increase expression of LPCAT3, LPCAT4, LPE acyltransferase 1（LPEAT1）, LPEAT2 and phospholipase A2 s were observed in GP fatty acid remodeling pathway. Introduction: The care pathway for heart failure (HF) patients is poorly documented in sub-Saharan Africa. A multidisciplinary management reduces hospitalizations and mortality. In our context of frequent rehospitalization of heart failure patients, the objective of this study was to analyse the post-hospital follow-up health care. Methods: We conducted a prospective study in the medical department of a Heart Institute from January 1st to December 31, 2015. Patients over 18 years of age, hospitalized for heart failure, consenting and followed up on an outpatient basis for 2 years were included. Results: We collected 396 patients hospitalized for HF. The mean age was 57.4 ± 16 years with a male predominance (59.3%). Retired and unemployed people represented 27% and 16.2% respectively. During the post-hospitalization follow-up, patients who were regularly followed up represented 10.8% of the cases. 74.1% of the cases were regular patients. Patients were not followed up by the usual practitioner (58.2%). Only 94 patients had undergone a cardiovascular rehabilitation programme, of which 21.3% for exercise rehabilitation and 78.7% for therapeutic education. Patients who had attended titration sessions (n = 59) had reached optimal doses of ACE inhibitors, ARB II and beta blockers in 67.8%, 7.3% and 38.5% respectively. The rates of decompensation (73.3%) and rehospitalization (49.5%) were higher. The paraclinic check-up (ECG, X-ray, Cardiac Doppler ultrasonography, Biology) was rarely requested. The probability of survival was higher in patients regularly monitored than in those irregularly monitored. Conclusion: The organisation of care and coordination between professionals should be structured or planned. Therapeutic strategies need to be intensified in order to optimise their long-term benefits.

An Effective Long String Searching Algorithm towards Component Security Testing

In the execution of method invocation sequences to test component security,abnormal or normal information is generated and recorded in a monitor log. By searching abnormal information from monitor log,the exceptions that the component has can be determined. To facilitate the searching process,string searching methods could be employed. However,current approaches are not effective enough to search long pattern string. In order to mine the specific information with less number of matches,we proposed an improved Sunday string searching algorithm in this paper. Unlike Sunday algorithm which does not make use of the already matched characters,the proposed approach presents two ideas — utilizing and recycling these characters. We take advantage of all matched characters in main string,if they are still in the matchable interval compared with pattern string,to increase the distance that pattern string moves backwards. Experimental analysis shows that,compared to Sunday algorithm,our method could greatly reduce the matching times,if the scale of character set constituting both main string and pattern string is small,or if the length of pattern string is long. Also,the proposed approach can improve the search effectiveness for abnormal information in component security testing.

Ion channels,many expressed in insect neural and muscular systems,have drawn huge attention as primary targets of *** the recent technical breakthroughs in structural biology,especially in cryo-electron microscopy(cryo-EM),many new high-resolution structures of ion channel targets,apo or in complex with insecticides,have been solved,shedding light on the molecular mechanism of action of the insecticides and resistance *** structures also provide accurate templates for structure-based insecticide screening and rational *** review summarizes the recent progress in the structural studies of 5 ion channel families:the ryanodine receptor(RyR),the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(nAChR),the voltage-gated sodium channel(VGSC),the transient receptor potential(TRP)channel,and the ligand-gated chloride channel(LGCC).We address the selectivity of the channel-targeting insecticides by examining the conservation of key coordinating residues revealed by the *** possible resistance mechanisms are proposed based on the locations of the identified resistance mutations on the 3D structures of the target channels and their impacts on the binding of ***,we discuss how to develop“green”insecticides with a novel mode of action based on these high-resolution structures to overcome the resistance.
