the investigated alloys are newly developed tribaloy alloys with enhanced crack and oxidation resistance over the traditional tribaloy *** cyclic oxidation performance and effects of complex oxides on the hardness of cobaltbased tribaloy alloys t-401(hypoeutectic)and t-900(hypereutectic)were *** results showed that t-900 alloy has a lower oxidation rate as compared to t-401 alloy at 800 and 1000℃,which attributed to the formation of dense continuous Cr2O3 layer with an upper thinner continuous layer of CoCr2O4 and NiCr2O4 *** 1000℃,t-401 alloy exhibited poor oxidation resistance due to severe spallation after 3 cycles(45 h).After oxidation,t-900 alloy exhibits 98%and 18%lower mass gain than t-401 alloy at 1000 and 800℃,*** t-900 alloy,relationship between mass gain and thickness of oxide layer revealed that mass will increase 0.162 mg/cm2 for every 1-μm increase in the oxides *** SiO2 oxide was observed at 800 and 1000℃for both ***,the extent of internal Si oxides increased with increasing oxidation temperature from 800 to 1000℃.Consequently,internal oxidation of Si led to the formation of Laves phase-depleted region near oxide/alloy interface in t-900 alloy at 1000℃.thus,hardness of t-900 alloy decreased from 618 to 392 HV beneath the oxide/alloy interface at 1000℃,whereas hardness of t-900 and t-401 alloys after cyclic oxidation test at 800℃increased from 618 to 855 and 519 to 685 HV,respectively.

traditional selection of combustion catalysis is time-consuming and *** calculation is expected to resolve this *** adsorption energy of HMX and O atoms on 13 metal oxides was calculated using DMol3,since HMX and O are key substances in decomposition *** the relationship between the adsorption energy of HMX,O on metal oxides(tiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),PbO,CuO,Fe_(2)O_(3),Co_(3)O_(4),Bi_(2)O_(3),NiO)and experimental t30 values(time required for the decomposition depth of HMX to reach 30%)was depicted as volcano ***,the t30 values of other metal oxides was predicted based on their adsorption energy on volcano plot and validated by previous experimental ***,the adsorption energy of HMX on ZrO_(2)and MnO_(2)was predicted based on the linear relationship between surface energy and adsorption energy,and t30 values were estimated based on volcano *** apparent activation energy data of HMX/MgO,HMX/SnO_(2),HMX/ZrO_(2),and HMX/MnO_(2)obtained from DSC experiments are basically consistent with our predicted t30 values,indicating that it is feasible to predict the catalytic activity based on the adsorption calculation,and it is expected that these simple structural properties can predict adsorption energy to reduce the large quantities of computation and experiment cost.

We used a thermally reversible hybrid gel made of billions of physically jam-packed swollen thermally sensitivepoly(N-isopropyl-acrylamide) chemical microgels. Laser light scattering study on a series of such hybrid gels formed atdifferent gelling rates and temperatures revealed that the position-dependence of the scattering speckle pattern(staticnonergodicity) came from large voids formed during the sol-gel transition. With a proper preparation, such a nonergodicitycould be completely removed, indicating that the static nonergodicity generally observed in a gel is not indinsic, but comesfrom the clustering "island" structure formed during the gelation process.

Biaxially oriented polypropylene(BOPP)is one of the most commonly used commercial capacitor films,but its upper operating temperature is below 105℃due to the sharply increased electrical conduction loss at high *** this study,growing an inorganic nanoscale coating layer onto the BOPP film's surface is proposed to suppress electrical conduction loss at high temperature,as well as increase its upper operating *** kinds of inorganic coating layers that have different energy band structure and dielectric property are grown onto the both surface of BOPP films,*** effect of inorganic coating layer on the high-temperature energy storage performance has been systematically *** favorable coating layer materials and appropriate thickness enable the BOPP films to have a significant improvement in high-temperature energy storage ***,when the aluminum nitride(AIN)acts as a coating layer,the AIN-BOPP-AIN sandwich-structured films possess a discharged energy density of 1.5 J cm^(-3)with an efficiency of 90%at 125℃,accompanying an outstandingly cyclic *** the discharged energy density and operation temperature are significantly enhanced,indicating that this efficient and facile method provides an important reference to improve the high-temperature energy storage performance of polymer-based dielectric films.

Digital coding and digital modulation are the foundation of modern information science. the combination of digital technology with metamaterials provides a powerful scheme for spatial and temporal controls of electromagnetic waves. Such a technique, however, has thus far been limited to the control of free-space light. Its application to plasmonics to shape subwavelength fields still remains elusive. Here, we report the design and experimental realization of a tunable conformal plasmonic metasurface, which is capable of digitally coding and modulating designer surface plasmons at the deep-subwavelength scale. Based on dynamical switching between two discrete dispersion states in a controlled manner, we achieve digital modulations of both amplitude and phase of surface waves with nearly 100% modulation depth on a single device. Our study not only introduces a new approach for active dispersion engineering, but also constitutes an important step towards the realization of subwavelength integrated plasmonic circuits.

Although metallic rhodium(Rh)is regarded as a promising platinum-alternative anode catalyst of direct methanol fuel cell(DMFC),the conventional"particle-to-face"contact model between Rh and matrix largely limits the overall electrocatalytic performance due to their insufficient cooperative ***,we report a controllable and robust heterointerface engineering strategy for the bottom-up fabrication of rhombic Rh nanosheets in situ confined on ti_3C_(2)t_x MXene nanolamellas(Rh NS/MXene)via a convenient stereoassembly *** unique design concept gives the resulting 2D/2D Rh NS/MXene heterostructure intriguing textural features,including large accessible surface areas,strong"face-toface"interfacial interactions,homogeneous Rh nanosheet distribution,ameliorative electronic structure,and high electronic *** a consequence,the as-prepared Rh NS/MXene nanoarchitectures exhibit exceptional electrocatalytic methanol oxidation properties in terms of a large electrochemically active surface area of 126.2 m~2 g_(Rh)~(-1),a high mass activity of 1056.9 mA mg_(Rh)-~1,and a long service life,which significantly outperform those of conventional particle-shaped Rh catalysts supported by carbon black,carbon nanotubes,reduced graphene oxide,and MXene matrixes as well as the commercial Pt nanoparticle/carbon black and Pd nanoparticle/carbon black catalysts with the same noble metal loading *** functional theory calculations further demonstrate that the direct electronic interaction at the well-contacted 2D/2D heterointerfaces effectively enhances the adsorption energy of Rh nanosheets and induces a left shift of the d-band center,thereby making the Rh NS/MXene configuration suffer less from CO *** work highlights the importance of rational heterointerface design in the construction of advanced noble metal/MXene electrocatalysts,which may provide new avenues for developing the next-generation DMFC devices.

We report the systematic investigation of the effects of oxygen on the synthesis of 3 p sub-family armchair graphene nanoribbons(3 p-AGNRs),which revealed a strong catalytic effect with a reduction in the reaction temperature by approximately 180 K without degradation of the ***(para-phenylene)(3-AGNR)was generated through Ullmann-type coupling of4,4’’-dibromo-p-terphenyl on Cu(111),which was then converted into wider 3 p-AGNRs via lateral *** tunneling microscopy(StM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy demonstrated the formation of different ribbons up to 12-AGNR,which contained regions exhibiting increased StM contrast that we attribute to the intercalation of Br atoms during lateral fusion.
