Nerve fibers are attracted by sutureless end-to-side nerve coaptation into the recipient nerve. Opening a window in the epineurium enhances axon attraction and myeliuation. The authors analyze the features of nerve repair by end-to-side coaptation. They highlight the known mechanisms of axon sprouting and different hypotheses of start up signals （presence or absence of an epineurial window, role of Schwann cells, signaling from the distal trunk）. The clinical literature is also presented and differences between experimental and clinical applications are pointed out. The authors propose their point of view and perspectives deriving from recent experimental and clinical experiences.

The Effect of Working Speed on Indices Used for the Evaluation of Seedbed Conditions

Crop establishment largely depends on the methods of tillage for seedbed preparation. Seedbed conditions and related problems have recently attracted considerable interest for research. The intensity of the soil compaction achieved because of tillage is related to the working speed of the implement used. The effect of working speed on indices used for the evaluation of seedbed preparation （index of soil texture, actual tillage depth, soil bulk density and the proposed index of leveling） were investigated by applying four different systems of tillage and using different tillage implements. The relationships of the indices investigated to working speed are also presented graphically for all tillage implements used. All relationships were found to be linear with the working speed and the corresponding coefficients of determination were very close to unity. Useful conclusions, which may be used by extension services for the selection of the proper working speed of the implements used for seedbed preparation, are reached. Finally the general conclusion is that reciprocating harrows may be introduced into energetic tillage systems for seedbed preparation.

Fault Detection of Fuel Injectors Based on One-Class Classifiers

Fuel injectors are considered as an important component of combustion engines. Operational weakness can possibly lead to the complete machine malfunction, decreasing reliability and leading to loss of production. To overcome these circumstances, various condition monitoring techniques can be applied. The application of acoustic signals is common in the field of fault diagnosis of rotating machinery. Advanced signal processing is utilized for the construction of features that are specialized in detecting fuel injector faults. A performance comparison between novelty detection algorithms in the form of one-class classifiers is presented. The one-class classifiers that were tested included One-Class Support Vector Machine (OCSVM) and One-Class Self Organizing Map (OCSOM). The acoustic signals of fuel injectors in different operational conditions were processed for feature extraction. Features from all the signals were used as input to the one-class classifiers. The one-class classifiers were trained only with healthy fuel injector conditions and compared with new experimental data which belonged to different operational conditions that were not included in the training set so as to contribute to generalization. The results present the effectiveness of one-class classifiers for detecting faults in fuel injectors.

Three sunflower oil/diesel blends and pure sunflower oil were tested in a CI engine using the manufacturer’s settings,two altered injection timings（IT±2o CA） and injector protrusions（IP±0.5mm）.36 Fuel-IT-IP configurations were completed,plus the reference run with diesel.A life cycle analysis（LCA） was conducted and fossil CO2 was *** configurations were compared using analytical hierarchy process（AHP） that was applied for three cases:*** on engine performance,*** driven and *** situation between the first *** case was overviewed using two perspectives:either with CO2 values measured in the tests or the CO2 calculated by the LCA;it was shown that all cases,in both perspectives,gave similar results in the Fuel-IT-IP configurations ranking with minor ***,the results were significantly different when comparing the two *** LCA CO2 values favoured high oil content fuels ranking them in the first *** was graded very *** IT was positive translated in covering most of first *** did not give a clear influence trend on final ranking,as IT was dominant in engine performance and *** fuels had disadvantages（*** BSFC,high NOx values）,but they were overcome by the advantages（*** torque,lower CO2） to receive higher ranking position.

Purpose: To evaluate the additive IOP effect of physical aerobic exercise (bicycle ergometer), in healthy individuals, after the in- stillation of b-blockers. Material: 20 healthy individuals. Methods: The IOP was measured before and 2 hours after the instillation of eye drops (b-blockers) in the right eye (OD) of the individuals.. The IOP was measured again within 5 minutes after the completion of physical exercise on a bicycle ergometer (about 10 minutes of duration - till exhaustion). Results: The instillation of b-blocker eye drops in the right eye was followed by an IOP decrease after 2 hours. The IOP decreased further more after the performance of the bicycle ergometer exercise. Mean IOP before the instillation of b-blocker. right eyes: 16.25, left eyes: 16.15. Mean IOP after the instillation of b-blocker. right eyes: 12.35 (decrease ranged from 3 to 5 mm Hg), left eyes: 14.20.. The IOP lowering effect after the bicycle ergometer exercise for the right eyes ranged from 1 to 5 mmHg. Mean IOP 10.20.
