Niigata City in Japan and Khabarovsk City in Russia signed a sister city agreement in 1965 and have been interacting with each other for a long time. We have been conducting comparative research on the elderly between the two cities, but there is no research on the young. Distorted perception of body weight and unnecessary dieting behavior in adolescent girls is considered a problem in both Japan and Russia. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to clarify the distortion of weight perception and diet behavior of adolescent girls in both the countries. In addition, it was decided to investigate the eating habits of people in both the countries. In total, 195 15-year-old girls from Niigata, Japan (October 2020) and 286 girls from Khabarovsk, Russia (February 2017) were surveyed. The questionnaire used was an excerpt from the World Health Organization survey on the health behavior of school-age children. The proportion of Japanese adolescent girls who perceived themselves as overweight (distorted body weight perception) was 60.5%, which was significantly higher than that of Russian adolescent girls at 30.1% (p valence of weight loss behavior in Japan was 34.9% (n = 68), which was significantly higher than that in Russia with 27.3% (n = 78) (p vegetable intake habits than those in Russia. From a young age, perception of correct body shape and establishment of eating habits are important not only for current health but also for future health. We need to carefully educate adolescent girls that their body undergoes major changes through secondary sexual characteristics during adulthood.

AIM: To find out if magnetic resonance(MR)-signal characteristics of hepatocellular carcinomas(HCC) correlate with perfusion parameters assessed by volume perfusion computed tomography(vPCT).METHODS: From October 2009 to January 2014, 26(mean age, 69.3 years) patients with 36 HCC lesions who underwent both vPCT and MR liver imaging were analysed. We compared signal intensity in the T1 wand T2w-images and wash-in/wash-out kinetics on postcontrast MR images with mean values of blood flow(BF, mL/100 mL per minute), blood volume(Bv, mL/100 mL), k-trans(mL/100 mL per minute), arterial liver perfusion(mL/100 mL per minute), portal venous perfusion and hepatic perfusion index(HPI, %) obtained by vPCT. Signal intensity on magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) was classified hyper/iso/hypointense compared with surrounding liver parenchyma. RESULTS: Signal intensity on native T1w- and T2 wimages was hyper/iso/hypo in 4/16/16 and 21/14/1 lesions, respectively. Wash-in and wash-out contrast kinetics were found on MRI in 33 of 36 lesions(91.7%) and 25 of 36 lesions(69.4%), respectively. The latter was observed significantly more often in higher graded lesions(P vPCT-perfusion parameters. However HPI was constantly high in all HCC ***: vPCT parameters add limited value to MR-lesion characterization. However in HCC lesions with atypical MR signal characteristics HPI can add a parameter to ensure HCC diagnosis.

Spectral Investigations of Hybrid Nanostructures Including Modified Fullerene C60 and Carbazole-Derivative Fluorophore

In order to grasp the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways of pathophysiological processes in tissues and other biological matrices it is often necessary to obtain information about different classes of chemicals, such as small metabolites, lipids and proteins[1]. Herein, a novel method a novel method for the sequential detection of lipids, small metabolites, and proteins in a single tissue sample has been proposed using internal extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(i EESI-MS)[2-4] with altering the chemical composition of extraction solution. In the first stage of analysis, the extraction solution of CH3 OH/H2 O(v/v, 35/65) was used, resulting in the instantaneous extraction of lipids followed by the extraction of small metabolites after ca. 50 min of continuous extraction. In the second stage, the composition of extraction solution was altered to CH3 OH/H2 O/CH3 COOH(v/v/v, 35/65/10), resulting in the extraction of proteins. This method was demonstrated successful for the differentiation of human lung cancerous and normal tissue samples via orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis(OPLSDA). In combination with support vector machine(SvM), cancer prediction with 100% sensitivity, specificity and accuracy was achieved owing to the integral information about small metabolites, lipids and proteins. The established method is featured by the low sample consumption(ca. 2 mg) and high operational simplicity showing potential for high-accuracy clinical diagnosis and systems biology studies.

Hybrid nanostructures including modified fullerene C60 and fluorophoric (E)-2-Cyano-3-(9-ethyl-9Н-carbazole-3-yl)-acrylic acid (cyanoacrylic acid I) were created. Spectral properties (absorption and luminescence spectra) of the hybrid nanostructures were investigated. It was established what molecules C60 strongly affected spectral properties of cyanoacrylic acid I in the hybrid nanostructures. Luminescence quenching of fluorophore and a change of luminescence features were observed in the hybrid nanostructures.

At present, there are two ways to produce 99Mo in a reactor: 1) fission process—from U fission product by reaction 235U (n, f) 99Mo and 2) activation process—by radiation capture reaction 98Mo (n, γ) 99Mo. This paper presents the results of experiments performed with molybdenum carbide nano-powder to produce 99Mo. These results show the implementation of the above idea in practice.

The influence of hydrochloric or sulphuric acid treatment on the electro-physical properties of superthin basalt fiber (STBF) made from Armenian basalt rocks was studied. Specific electric resistance for direct and alternating currents, dielectric parameters of ε, and ε,, were measured. It is shown that specific resistance and dielectric parameters of super-thin basalt fiber change essentially after hydrochloric or sulphuric acid treatment. The temperature dependences of these parameters were studied, too, and their non–monotonic behavior was observed. The probable variation of mentioned STBF parameters is explained by different water absorption capacity of pores as a result of acid treatment.
