Introduction: Transmembrane sodium-independent g.ucose transporters (g.UTs) play an important role in both placental and fetal development by the providing.transplacental g.ucose transport. Abnormal g.UT-1 and g.UT-3 placental expression could play a role in such late preg.ancy complications development as preeclampsia and intrauterine g.owth retardation. Materials and Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed to reveal patterns of g.UT-1 and g.UT-3 expression in the placental terminal villi compartments. Results: g.UT-1 syncytial expression in the terminal villi of severe PE cases (both with and without IUg.) was sig.ificantly lower in compare to control g.oup. We also report about g.UT-3 both syncytial and endothelial expression in the near term and term placental terminal villi without sig.ificant difference between the study and control g.oups. Conclusion: other study should be performed to establish the nature of g.UT-1 downreg.lation in severe preeclampsia cases and whether g.UT-3 is expressed in the syncytiotrophoblast of near term and term placentas or not.

Sodium 3,5-bis(hydroxyimino)-1-methyl-2,4,6-trioxocyclohexanide C7H5N2NaO5 (I) has been isolated as the only product of the reaction of nitrosation of methylphlorog.ucinol. The structure of the titled compound has been determined from sing.e crystal X-ray diffraction data. The hydrated C7H5N2NaO52.5H2O crystallizes in the monoclinic space g.oup C2/c, with a(?) 16.408(3);b(?) 12.446(3);c(?) 13.716(3);(o) 126.34(3). The planar org.nic anion exists in a triketo-dihydroxyimino form with the C–O and C–N distances from 1.220(2) to 1.271(2)?? and from 1.292(2) to 1.293?? respectively. In the IR spectrum of I, the sharp absorption band occurred at 1681 cm-1 due to C=O stretching.indicating.the strong.H-interactions. The correlations of theoretical (DFT-B3LYP/aug.cc-pVDZ) and experimental UV-vis absorption spectra in neutral and alkaline ethanolic solutions showed the existence of hydroxyimino-nitroso tautomerism while ionization of I.

We present a modified implantation technique of the Perceval~? sutureless aortic valve(LivaNova, London, United King.om) that involves the usag. of snug.ers for the g.iding.sutures during.valve deployment. Both limbs of each g.iding.suture are pulled throug. an elastic tube, which is fixed with a Pean clamp, which tig.tens the sutures and fixes the prosthesis to the aortic annulus during.valve deployment. This method proved safe and useful in over 120 cases. Valve implantation was facilitated and the need for manipulation by the assistant or the nurse was eliminated.
