BACKGROUnD Early diagnosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)has been a longstanding *** prognosis of patients with PDAC depends on the stage at *** is necessary to identify biomarkers for the detection and differentiation of pancreatic tumors and optimize PDAC sample preparation procedures for DnA and RnA *** molecular studies are done using paraffin-embedded blocks;however,the integrity of DnA and RnA is often compromised in this ***,RnA isolated from human pancreatic tissue samples is generally of low quality,in part,because of the high concentration of endogenous pancreatic RnAse activity *** To assess the potential of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FnA)to obtain specimens from pancreatic neoplasms for subsequent RnA molecular profiling,including next-generation sequencing(nGS).METHODS Thirty-four EUS-FnA samples were included in this study:PDAC(n=15),chronic pancreatitis(n=5),pancreatic cysts(n=14),mucinous cysts(mucinous cystic neoplasia/intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia)n=7,serous cystic neoplasms n=5,and pseudocysts n=*** material consisted of cyst fluid and cyst wall samples obtained by through-the-needle biopsy(TTnB).Samples were stored at -80℃ until *** purity(A260/230,A260/280 ratios),concentration,and integrity(RIn)were ***-time polymerase chain reaction was conducted on all samples,and small RnA libraries were prepared from solid mass *** RnA was successfully extracted from 29/34(85%)EUS-FnA samples:100% pancreatic adenocarcinoma samples,100% chronic pancreatitis samples,70% pancreatic fluid cyst samples,and 50%TTnB *** relative expression of GAPDH and HPRT were obtained for all successfully extracted RnA samples(n=29)including lowquality RnA *** concentration and nonoptimal RIn values(no less than 3)of RnA extracted from EUS-FnA samples did not prevent nGS library *** suitability of cyst fluid samples

The emergence of van der Waals(vdW)materials resulted in the discovery of their high optical,mechanical,and electronic anisotropic properties,immediately enabling countless novel phenomena and *** success inspired an intensive search for the highest possible anisotropic properties among vdW ***,the identification of the most promising among the huge family of vdW materials is a challenging quest requiring innovative ***,we suggest an easy-to-use method for such a survey based on the crystallographic geometrical perspective of vdW materials followed by their optical *** our approach,we found As2S3 as a highly anisotropic vdW *** demonstrates high in-plane optical anisotropy that is~20%larger than for rutile and over two times as large as calcite,high refractive index,and transparency in the visible range,overcoming the century-long record set by *** these benefits,As2S3 opens a pathway towards nextgeneration nanophotonics as demonstrated by an ultrathin true zero-order quarter-wave plate that combines classical and the Fabry–Pérot optical phase ***,our approach provides an effective and easy-to-use method to find vdW materials with the utmost anisotropic properties.

Hyperoxaluria can cause not only nephrolithiasis and nephrocalcinosis,but also renal parenchymal disease histologically characterized by deposition of calcium oxalate crystals throughout the renal parenchyma,profound tubular damage and interstitial inflammation and *** nephropathy presents clinically as acute or chronic renal failure that may progress to endstage renal disease(ESRD).This sequence of events,well recognized in the past in primary and enteric hyperoxalurias,has also been documented in a few cases of dietary *** of oxalate intake in patients with chronic dietary hyperoxaluria who developed chronic kidney disease or ESRD were comparable to the reported average oxalate content of the diets of certain populations worldwide,thus raising the question whether dietary hyperoxaluria is a primary cause of ESRD in these *** addressing this question have the potential of improving population health and should be undertaken,alongside ongoing studies which are yielding fresh insights into the mechanisms of intestinal absorption and renal excretion of oxalate,and into the mechanisms of development of oxalate-induced renal parenchymal *** preventive and therapeutic strategies for treating all types of hyperoxaluria are expected to develop from these studies.

Taxonomic Composition and Spatial Distribution of Meiofauna Community from a Sandy Intertidal Zone in Sishili Bay, Yellow Sea Coast (northern China)

The meiofauna composition and trophic groups of the nematode communities have been studied at a sandy intertidal zone in Sishili Bay along the Yantai coast(Yellow Sea,China).nematoda was dominant among the 11 groups of *** meiofaunal densities were low,ranging between 111±47 and 542±131 ind./10 cm^(2).Results obtained from the correlation analysis made it possible to determine several factors that influence species composition and ***,sediment granulometry significantly affected the *** highest abundance was found in fine-grained sediments(318.77±126 ind./10 cm^(2))com-pared to coarse-grained sediments(175±82 ind./10 cm2).nematodes were predominant in all studied sites.A total of 70 species be-longing to 52 genera and 18 families were identified in the study *** was a significant difference in nematode abundance(AnOVA,F=2.38,Pn the three *** communities were characterized by a high level of species diversity in sediments composed mainly of very-fine sands(>63μm),with dominant species belonging to the genus Bathylaimus,Ptycho-laimellus,Spirinia,and *** trophic groups were dominated by non-selective deposit feeders(40.7%)and epistrate feed-ers(41.29%).In contrast,the species composition in medium grain sands was characterized by a low species diversity index and a high Simpson dominance *** communities showed similar dominant species compositions belonging to a single genus Bathylaimus,Enoplolaimus,and Oncholaimus,and in terms of trophic structure-representatives of deposit feeders(46.15%),preda-tors,and omnivores(64.71%)*** divergence of meiofaunal community structures can be explained by abiotic factors such as sediment grain size,salinity,and organic carbon ***,sediment particle size can explain the diversity of nematodes at the level of in abundance,diversity indices,and trophic *** highest nematode density and diversity coincided with

World experience indicates the existence of significant imbalances in the development of *** problem of assessing the rational development of the regional and national economy is becoming urgent,since such assessments can prevent development imbalances across *** aim of this study is to elaborate a methodology to assess the countries’socio-economic development by integraring 12 modern indices of socio-economic development into the Composite Country Development Index(CCDI).The methodology of this research was based on a set of key indices that described socio-economic development level in four fields(social development,digital development,economic development,and environmental security)and then these indices were integrated into the *** study further applied factor analysis and R-Studio software to define the gaps of social and economic development in 59 selected countries using the trigonometric function of the angle *** correlation analysis confirmed the existence of a close interrelation among the studied *** paper noted that due to the emergence of new priorities,it is necessary to revise the assessment methodology of socio-economic development level and expand them to cover the decisive *** was confirmed by the results obtained,demonstrating various combinations of the development level in the four fields and their impact on the *** scientific contribution of this research is to form a methodology(e.g.,the CCDI)for evaluating the socio-economic development level of countries in the world.

Magnetic field hyperactivity during the early neoproterozoic: A paleomagnetic and cyclostratigraphic study of the Katav Formation, southern Urals, Russia

Transposable element insertions(TEIs) are an important source of genomic innovation by contributing to plant adaptation, speciation, and the production of new varieties. The often large,complex plant genomes make identifying TEIs from short reads difficult and expensive. Moreover, rare somatic insertions that refect mobilome dynamics are difficult to track using short *** address these challenges, we combined Cas9-targeted nanopore sequencing(CAnS) with the novel pipeline nano Cas TE to trace both genetically inherited and somatic TEIs in plants. We performed CAnS of the EVADé(EVD) retrotransposon in wild-type Arabidopsis thaliana and rapidly obtained up to 40× sequence *** of hemizygous T-DnA insertion sites and genetically inherited insertions of the EVD transposon in the ddm1(decrease in DnA methylation1) genome uncovered the crucial role of DnA methylation in shaping EVD insertion *** also investigated somatic transposition events of the OnSEn transposon family, finding that genes that are downregulated during heat stress are preferentially targeted by OnSEns. Finally, we detected hypomethylation of novel somatic insertions for two OnSEns. CAnS and nano Cas TE are effective tools for detecting TEIs and exploring mobilome organization in plants in response to stress and in different genetic backgrounds, as well as screening T-DnA insertion mutants and transgenic plants.

Influence of non-covalent interactions on properties of lanthanide systems with aromatic ligands

Two series of lanthanide compounds, namely, chlorides containing different numbers of both 1,10-phenanthroline （Phen） molecules and chloride anions in the first coordination sphere, and Schiff Bases （SBs） derived from Pyridoxal （PL） and amino acids, were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and luminescence techniques. The combined use of these techniques for the analysis of long-distance europium non-covalent interactions was performed for the first time. As a result, the correlation between supramolecular organization and the features of the Eum electronic transitions was found for the compounds of the first series. Strong non-covalent interactions between pyridoxal tings of SBs （the second series of compotmd） led to the formation of 1：2 species and four-dentate coordination function of these SBs in aqueous solution.
