Gunshot injuries are rather serious but uncommon type of trauma in India. A 45-year-old male was presented with gunshot （pellets） embedded in the maxillofacial area for 22 years. There is no consensus in the literature whether to attempt their removal or leave them in situ. Our patient had no long-term sequela like infection, fistula formation, carcinogenesis or metal poisoning to date except for chill feeling on cold days. Management of this patient presented a dilemma in treatment in view of the effects of foreign bodies in the maxillofacial area.

Natural killer(NK)cells are cytotoxic immune cells that can eliminate target cells without prior *** induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)provide a robust source of NK cells for safe and effective cell-based immunotherapy against aggressive *** this in vitro study,a feeder-free iPSC differentiation was performed to obtain iPSC-NK cells,and distinct maturational stages of iPSC-NK were *** cells of Cd56^(bright)Cd16^(bright)phenotype showed upregulation of Cd56,Cd16,and NK cell activation markers NKG2d and NKp46 upon IL-15 exposure,while exposure to aggressive atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor(ATRT)cell lines enhanced NKG2d and NKp46 *** cell exposure also increased Cd107a degranulation markers and stimulated IFN-γsecretion in activated NK ***56^(bright)Cd16^(bright)iPSC-NK cells showed a ratio-dependent killing of ATRT cells,and the percentage lysis of CHLA-05-ATRT was higher than that of *** iPSC-NK cells were also cytotoxic against other brain,kidney,and lung cancer cell *** NK maturation yielded Cd56^(-ve) Cd16^(bright)cells,which lacked activation markers even after exposure to interleukins or ATRT cells-indicating diminished *** and characterization of different NK phenotypes from iPSCs,coupled with their promising anti-tumor activity against ATRT in vitro,offer valuable insights into potential immunotherapeutic strategies for brain tumors.

Conventional approach of dealing with more users per coverage area in cellular networks implies densifying the amount of(Access Point)AP which will eventually result in a larger carbon *** this paper,we propose a base station off-loading and cell range extension(CRE)scheme based on multi-hop device-to-device(MHd2d)path selection between transmitter and receiver *** paper also provides derivations of upper and lower bounds for energy efficiency,capacity,and transmit *** proposed path selection scheme is inspired by the foraging behavior of honey *** present the algorithm as a modified variant of the artificial bee colony algorithm(MVABC).The proposed optimization problem is modeled as a minimization problem where we optimize the Energy Efficiency(EE).The proposed path selection MVABC is compared with the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and also with classical artificial bee colony(ABC)through simulations and statistical *** student’s t-test,p-value,and standard error of means(SEM)clearly show that MVABC based path selection out-performs the GA and classical ABC *** based approach is 66%more efficient when compared with classic ABC and about 62%efficient when compared with GA based scheme.

After a prolonged debate and discussion,the World Health Organization(WHO)relisted'snakebite'under Category'A'of'Neglected Tropical diseases'(NTds)in June 2017 hoping to diminish its burden on ***,in March 2009,WHO added snakebite to its official list of NTds but later downgraded to'Other Neglected Conditions',a list reduced in importance[1,2].Obviously,the recent inclusion of snakebite in NTds was due to the estimation of huge toll of deaths due to snake envenomation in tropical countries as supported by the multiple *** inclusion will expedite the process of developing better management protocols and infusing funds for such affected countries.

Splenic artery aneurysms (SAA) are third most common intra-abdominal aneurysm (after aneurysms of the abdominal aorta and iliac arteries). A splenic artery aneurysm larger than 3 cm is even rare. Splenic artery aneurysms are fatal vascular lesions if ruptured. The incidence of rupture is increased in larger aneurysms. Transcatheter arterial embolization is an alternative method of treatment in a patient with splenic arterial aneurysm which has relative lower morbidity and mortality than surgical procedures. Here, we report a case of giant ruptured proximal splenic artery pseudoaneurysm detected by contrast enhanced computed tomography (CECT) & referred to Interventional Radiology for Transcatheter arterial embolisation.

Wireless Sensor Network(WSNs)consists of a group of nodes that analyze the information from surrounding *** sensor nodes are responsible for accumulating and exchanging ***,node local-ization is the process of identifying the target node’s *** this research work,a Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI)-based optimal node localization approach is proposed to solve the complexities in the conventional node localization ***,the RSSI value is identified using the deep Neural Network(dNN).The RSSI is conceded as the range-based method and it does not require special hardware for the node localization process,also it consumes a very minimal amount of cost for localizing the nodes in 3d *** position of the anchor nodes is fixed for detecting the location of the ***,the optimal position of the target node is identified using Hybrid T cell Immune with Lotus Effect Optimization algorithm(HTCI-LEO).during the node localization process,the average localization error is minimized,which is the objective of the optimal node *** the regular and irregular surfaces,this hybrid algorithm effectively performs the localization *** suggested hybrid algorithm converges very fast in the three-dimensional(3d)*** accuracy of the proposed node localization process is 94.25%.

Conventional vs. polyethylene glycol （PEG）-fusion tech- nologies to repair severed spinal axons： Most spinal cord injuries （SCIs） involve cutor crush-severance of spinal tract axons in the central nervous system （CNS）. Clinical out- comes after CNS axonal severance is very poor because proximal segments of CNS axons lack a suitable environment for outgrowth （Kakulas, 1999; Fitch and Silver, 2008; Rowland et al., 2008; Kwon et al., 2010） and therefore do not naturally regenerate （Ramon y Caial, 1928）. Current strategies to try to increase behavioral recovery after SCI are focused on en- hancing the environment for axonal outgrowth.

Invasive plant Ageratina adenophora(Sprengel)***&*** has invaded majority of the temperate forests in Kumaun,Central *** on *** invaded forest types,their structural attributes,population demography and regeneration status are still at rudimentary *** this,the present study was conducted to assess the impacts of *** on vegetational attributes and regeneration status of three forest types,viz.,Oak(Quercus oblongata ***),Pine(Pinus roxburghii Sarg.)and Cypress(Cupressus torulosa ***).We selected three sites for each forest type and each site was further purposively stratified into paired sampling plots of 1 ha each i.e.,*** invaded and uninvaded *** results showed large densities of cut stumps or felled trees throughout invaded sites,but with fewer fire signs in comparison to uninvaded *** uninvaded sites,total density and basal area calculated for woody species were relatively higher than those in invaded sites,although results were insignificant(p>0.05).With the exception for Cypress forests,vegetation indices showed low woody species richness and diversity in invaded Oak and Pine ***,regeneration of ***,*** and *** tree species did not differ significantly(p>0.05)between invaded and uninvaded *** insignificant differences clearly imply that ***'s presence has not entirely changed the perennial plant communities in terms of composition,structure and natural ***,tree species with poor or no regeneration status requires special attention and needs management strategies involving control of invasive species in forest ecosystems.
